  1. Weed testing was more a stupidity test than a drug test. You had to be real dumb to get caught by the league. It was like a known 2 week window to stop during, and you'd avoid getting put into "the program". None of this matters. Once you have ANY travel, it's all the same. Doesnt matter if it is cross country or only to the next state over. And if a Jets fan on a Bills board thought of it, I promise you the folks at the NFL already thought of it months ago.
  2. Plenty of guys have been fat and lazy without weed. Plenty of guys have smoked weed without being fat and lazy. And everyone was already smoking weed to begin with. Nothing will really change there. The bigger issue is guys being locked out of training facilities and stuck at home, whether they smoke weed or not.
  3. Damn Vogons, wish I was being that clever. Abbreviated 420. lol
  4. Epenesa, Moss, Fromm, Bass. So 4. I dont think Davis is a lock, simply due to the lack of rookie camps and OTAs. It will be tougher on rookies who need to learn the offense and build chemistry. I think Davis and Hodgens make the PS. Jackson gets released.
  5. Side note and Pro Tip for anyone who maybe doesnt feel comfortable rocking a jersey as a grown man, or finds it unreasonable spending $100+ on a novelty shirt worn a couple times a year: Fanatics.com has a cool t-shirt product which has a customizable name and number on the back. If you watch for sales (like the 65% sale ON NOW) you can get them for $29. Good quality t-shirt and quality screen printing. You can get 3 for the price of a jersey. I usually pick up a couple of random Bills each year during these sales. May order a "Bennett 55" or "Mueller 41" today to add to the collection. https://www.fanatics.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/buffalo-bills-nfl-pro-line-any-name-and-number-logo-personalized-t-shirt-royal/
  6. Stay away from DHGATE. Their stuff is low quality, knock off garbage. Like, so low quality it is noticeable and embarrassing to see. Just get the real thing.
  7. To me, the biggest question will be whether they still have the Refs in their pocket. If so, that's usually good for about 2 additional wins right there.
  8. Then why did the Jets sign Gore? ?
  9. Injury Settlements are usually less than dead money, so worth the risk. After this season, he's pretty cut-able, we can get out of the deal with a much smaller hit. And if he takes a bad shot and decides on his own to retire, then no hit for the Bills. Not much risk at all. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/mitch-morse-16773/
  10. Agreed on that 2012 feeling. Speaking of Fitz, I think the biggest mistake was cutting him and not letting him act as the bridge QB/mentor while EJ sat for a year. Or better yet, him acting as the bridge QB/mentor while Wilson or Foles sat for a year if we had drafted either of them in 2012.
  11. One of the best last names in football?
  12. A resounding "Meh" to most of that list. ? RG3 I dont count as a miss. Tannehill either. Both would have been "same ol Bills" on this team. 2014 was too soon after picking EJ to just give up on him, and I dont think either of those guys were better prospects at the time. If those are the best prospects we missed out on in that time, that just proves my point that there werent many QBs they could have taken. I guess I could add Foles to Wilson. That's about it.
  13. If someone wanted to pay me a few Mil to come in and be a "good guy" and take a few carries, sure! I'd do it every year I could until the phone stopped ringing.
  14. I like the "way too early" mocks because they give me a decent list of players to watch in College Football for the year. That is, IF there is college football this year. ☹️ His history of concussions means his career could be over at any moment. Less about the contract, more about the injuries. I do agree we need a speed rusher to replace Hughes, but I understand the Center talk. Especially if we are drafting at #27+.
  15. In some fairness to them, I've gone back and looked at those 2011-2014 years and can't really find the QB they "should have" gotten. Passing over Russell Wilson in the 3rd for TJ Graham is the only missed QB I could find. Other than him, there werent any options that were any better than EJ (and even with EJ, they traded down to 17 and still got him). I guess maybe Kirk Cousins too, but not sure how he would have worked out in Buffalo. That's about it. It was just a dark time for QB prospects. Same goes for when the Bills were trying to replace Kelly. I recently went back and looked at the draft classes from 1995-1998. Holy BARF. Pretty much zero successful QBs came into the league during that window, up until Peyton in 1998.
  16. Ding Ding Ding! Making the playoffs that year was the most Billsiest thing to happen, considering it was the one year the new GM was actually focused on next years draft and getting their QB. The Dareus trade, Watkins trade, and deciding in November to start Peterman for 4 games all make that pretty clear. The good news is, they made the playoffs and got the monkey off our back, AND still got their QB.
  17. Never said it was? Only that it got high ratings. And it did. Highest rated prime time is still a good selling point that stations notice.
  18. With 20/20 hindsight, the right move would have been to take the Falcons to the cleaners since they were desperately trying to trade up ahead of the Bengals to land AJ Green and keep Green in Georgia (before settling on trading up for Julio Jones). Bills trade back for a slew of picks and take Cam Jordan. But correct, at the time, Dareus was the consensus #3 pick. Of course, and the Bills/Whaley didnt really have a choice. Even with the character issues being known, whats the other option? Letting the highest pick the Bills had in over a decade walk with no compensation? Not gonna happen. Had to take the risk.
  19. I may have to try to find the audio. I went back and checked my texts from that day, and they do mention being the top requested team. Either way, I disagree that the Cowboys and Pats were the draws. We had very high ratings for the Steelers game too. The common factor across all the highest rated regular season games last year was the Bills. It may have been people wanting to see how the young, upstart Bills do against those teams, but the Bills were the draw.
  20. One of the NFL scheduling guys was on WGR a couple weeks ago and said the Bills were the #1 most requested team for prime time games by the tv stations. They looked at the ratings for the Thanksgiving and Pats Saturday night games and see the Bills as the hottest ticket. That said, I personally am not a fan of getting the Prime Time games since I'm an old fogey. I'll take 16 games at 1pm Sunday please. But I expect the Bills to get at least 3 Prime Time games.
  21. That class was loaded. Unfortunately, Dareus was the right pick at the time. Made the expected immediate impact in the Run D. But then flamed out.
  22. But no one is suggesting that, and I doubt Dawkins is even asking for that. I think we can all settle on $15M. Ah, right. Like I said above, I think we an all agree on $15M. Hopefully Dion can too!
  23. I see it at $20M because I think we're still 2 years away from that deal happening (based on White's decision). The longer he waits, the higher the average salary and the higher the top salary. You know he's going to want to be the highest paid CB at signing.
