  1. I think he has at least 1 good-to-great year left in him. And I also think he will be highly motivated to prove that at least this year as well. Assuming we're looking at a 2-3 year contract, I think it could be worth it for a star player 1 year, and a solid contributor for 2 more. Hell, we paid Murphy $10M to stand around in street clothes for most of the year.
  2. "Jaws of Life" always makes things sound way more serious than they really are. They are just high-powered scissors that can cut through metal. If the door was crunched and simply couldnt open... Jaws of Life. Hoping all goes well for Tiger. I'm a big fan.
  3. Yeah, PLENTY of NFL players arent in the right place mentally. It just usually doesnt bite them in the ass until after they are out of the league and dont have people covering for them anymore.
  4. Havent seen the newest episode yet, so avoiding discussion on the show for now. But wanted to share this tentative schedule a reddit user made. Disney is releasing new Marvel content every week for the rest of this year. And then will release new Star Wars content (Boba Fett, etc) every week of 2022. CANT WAIT!
  5. Imagine being on an OL unit with Taylor Lewan and YOU being the biggest basket case...
  6. Yes, they'll get it done this offseason and they should. As long as it is as expected, an extension that kicks in after his 5th year option. So still on the rookie deal this year and 2022, and then the big money kicks in in 2023. But we would be able to spread some of that bonus out over the next couple of years as well. Absolutely. Get r dun.
  7. Stupid science B word couldnt make I more smarter!
  8. The OU players fought a pair of brothers. NEVER fight brothers. This is basic playground survival we're supposed to learn at an early age. At 0:03 when the dude asks his brother "which one do you want?", it's over. Get out of there. And no, the players weren't trying to de-escalate. They just didnt expect to run into townies with better sports experience (wrestling/mma) than they had. If they were trying to keep the peace, they wouldnt have shoved him.
  9. Edmunds was my choice, with Oliver as the up and coming prospect. The 1st rounders will always have that pressure to perform at an elite level or be seen as a disappointment.
  10. We should be beyond critical mass (60-70% vaccinated) by the end of summer. Which would mean full re-opening and back to normal. As long as everyone gets vaccinated.
  11. It's actually a pretty realistic take. We're up over 1.5M a day and ramping towards 3M a day in a month or two. And we (the country and the world) are already starting to the benefits of even these early vaccinations with the infection rate declining to levels it hasnt been since the start of this mess. It's almost all good news nowdays. J&J says it will have 20M US doses ready by March. Pfizer says it will ship 13M US doses by mid-March. US on track to have vaccines for all by July US COVID hospitalizations at lowest since November (and dropping) Rhode Island closes two field hospitals due to declining numbers Maryland COVID hospitalizations falls below 1000 West Virginia (of all places) among highest Vaccination rates in the WORLD See you at the tailgate!
  12. Wont matter for Football. At our current vax rate, we should be out of the woods by September and have full fan attendance. Good for Devils fans I guess. Get to see Lindy Ruff in person.
  13. Oof. Been there. Last active player I bought was Dareus. I've learned to only go with retired guys (Tasker, Hull, etc). Kyle Williams is my next purchase.
  14. Welcome to the offseason. It's late-Feb. There is nothing real to discuss.
  15. For our team needs at the time, and the way he performed in his first 2 seasons, Dareus was the right pick at the time. Our run D got man-handled the previous season, and Dareus stepped right in and plugged those holes. Who could have known that he'd never grow up, and even regress? That draft will go down as one of the most talented classes ever compiled. The right move (with hindsight) would have been to take Atlanta's offer since they were trying to trade up for AJ Green, and trade down a bit. Still end up with someone like JJ Watt or Cam Jordan, AND another top talent from that class. Oh well. edit: Funny, that may have been the only thing @1billsfan fan and I agreed on back then.
  16. Man, I lead that charge. My biggest amateur scouting mistake so far. I was convinced he was too small to do anything as a pass rusher in the NFL. Glad my arguments made such a lasting impression, haha. Oops. My only saving grace was that I was right about Cam that same year, and he wasnt a bust or flame out.
  17. LOL, already off to a great start building the camaraderie
  18. But then how can he be outraged?
  19. Players should try to make as much money as they can during the very short window of years they are capable of playing in the NFL. Aint nothin wrong with that.
  20. Thanks Guys. I've been confused, thinking I was the crazy one, seeing so many people saying "With the cap situation this year, I bet we'll see a lot of 1-year deals so players can really hit Free Agency next year". And that made no sense to me. If anything, I think we'll see more long term deals, with 2021 being low paid and all the real money shifted down the line, and likely guaranteed to some extent. Not like the old-school backloaded contracts where you knew the player was never going to see a penny of the last 3 years. It's not that we CANT sign Milano. It's that we shouldnt sign Milano at such a high price.
  21. Do you think we could structure it like $10M and $14M to reduce cap hit this year? Or even $8M, $16M? Maybe fully guaranteed?
  22. No one is saying that. Being "less impressed" with his 2020 performance than his 2019 performance is not a crazy take.
  23. I never said he wasnt a "good" coach. Just that he made some mistakes this year that reduced the luster of his 2019 performance. Plenty of decent coaches can coach up a bad roster to winning 5 games. But how do they do once they get the talent and young QB to try to push into the playoffs? Pretty much what eball says:
  24. Ehh, year and a half, with a bad downturn the 2nd half of this year. I'm less impressed with him now than I was when the 2020 season started. But he could still turn it around.
  25. I remember Mario Williams delivering groceries to people's houses (maybe even Jim Kelly's) after a bad storm in Buffalo too.
