WRT Singletary hitting the hole... Agree, he did look slow getting to the line, but it seemed part of that was because Josh was taking his time deciding what to do on the RPOs. Holding onto it too long, and the couple of times he did decide to give it to Motor, it was too late and the Defense already ate him up.

Yes, but right now on a parallel message board, there is a Ravens fan making a thread about the lack of production from their WRs. Only 15 TDs for their WRs last year total. Sure, we could always use more TDs, and definitely need to increase our total scoring from the last couple of years. But even with that, there arent a lot more TDs to go around.

Would You Trade For Zach Ertz?
DrDawkinstein replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we could get him for a 6th, and he would re-sign for $2M/year, sure. But I dont think either of those things are happening. -
ESPN has us #7 https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/29886007/week-2-nfl-power-rankings-1-32-poll-plus-team-best-rookie-debut Only one I could really argue against is being behind the 49ers who lost. But we'll see how it plays out, and at least they have us ahead of the Titans who I dont believe in at all. And Pittsburgh should probably be higher. At least ahead of the Patriots, imo.

Dan LeBatard was always a fun read while he was at the Miami Herald in the 1990s, especially on Mondays after a loss to the Bills. Not even Bills fans could roast and destroy the Dolphins as savagely as Dan. Always a great amount of schadenfreude to be had. His ESPN show is more entertainment than Sports Analysis, or even Sports Entertainment. Dont take anything these guys say too seriously.

Jackson would SUCK in Cleveland. Pretty sure anyone would, but especially the guy who needed a completely unique and customized offense be built around him. One that no one with the Browns is/was capable of designing. No one can succeed in Cleveland. That franchise is rotten from the top down. Regardless of how he's looked in NY, I still think Darnold should have been Cleveland's pick. For as bad as Cleveland is, I think it's a better situation than NYJ.

First Positional Matchup to watch against MIA
DrDawkinstein replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh will be a running weapon for us. We might as well just get used to it. The Bills coaches know the risks. They've been around football before. I'm predicting 2 rushing TDs for Josh alone this week. (Would love to be wrong about all this, but just how I see it) -
The packers really blew it selecting Love

I'd never forget about Depew's finest, MAJIK MAN! -
Oh, they let Brown back out of his cage?

The Packers really blew it selecting Aaron Rodgers. I just watched Favre still sling it.... This is what the Packers do. They have 4 HoF QBs (soon to be 5), and 3 QBs (Starr, Favre, Rodgers) make up 45 of 100 years of their existence.- 136 replies

Watching it live, I thought he skipped the pass in and was hoping it wouldnt get called back in replay. That was a close one and a great job by Brown.

LETS ***** GOOOOOO!

Reading their boards, they have decent takes for fans in their position. Pretty much: Burn it down and put it in Joe Douglas's hands. My only knock is cutting bait on Darnold too soon. But after 3 years in that dumpster fire, I'm not sure he'll be salvageable. Too bad, too. Kid had talent and potential.

Did you just ask McD to be more like Rex? How do I give a mod a warning point?

First Positional Matchup to watch against MIA
DrDawkinstein replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Based on yesterday's games, I'm assuming we'll be heavy on the run side against Miami. And especially with running Josh (given that Cam had 75 yds). Use that to soften up their pass D, then light em up. -
Little do they realize they should just come to the message board like the rest of us

Joe Burrow is 18 months older than Tremaine Edmunds. Tua Tagovailoa is 3 months older than Edmunds. Folks forget how young and green he really is.

Where the Heck Was Oliver All Day?

Our "top pick" caught a ton of balls yesterday and opened up our entire passing game -
Where the Heck Was Oliver All Day?
DrDawkinstein replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Looking back at the draft with the benefit of hindsight, there are no players in the end of the 2nd/beginning of the 3rd who stood a chance to come in and immediately contribute to this team. The only other one MIGHT be Josh Uche (DE/OLB). Who was ALSO inactive for their game yesterday. It's just the way it's going to rookies this year with short camps and no preseason. -

Oliver was in Darnold's lap from the very first drive. Disrupted him up the middle all day. But ok.- 110 replies
