  1. IMO, it really depends on the team and the FOs history on how it treats players. But in general, I dont have a problem with players trying to get the most money possible. They're the ones risking their long term health in a very short window to get paid. I also don't think "teammates counting on him" comes into it much. The players know its a business. Given how BOB acts as GM and HC, I have no problem with players doing whatever they can to max their money there (or force a trade). And it didnt really seem like the Texans needed Clowney to make the playoffs anyways.
  2. Oh for sure not arguing your personal preference. Just jumped at the chance to mention Running Down a Dream
  3. It's not surprising to see out of arguably the best managed team in the NFL, and proves why Eric DeCosta earned the "Executive of the Year" award in his first year as GM. Players willing to compromise as well in order to stay with the team. Luckily, Beane doesnt seem too far behind and on the same track. I dont blame any player for trying to milk the maximum out of teams that are run like the Texans. Different story in Baltimore. There is a bigger difference here in GMs than with the players involved.
  4. Not sure this has ever been done before...
  5. This is why the Trillion Dollar NFL needs to suck it up and pay the refs, what, $250k/year to go full time. Spend the offseason in "ref camps" where they all meet and get on the same page about the rules and how to call games, and then spend the summers working in various Team Training Camps, working intensely with the team on how they will call games and what will fly and what wont. Instead, they spend most of their year at their accounting and law firms, and put on their "ref caps" only when needed. Such bush league BS from the NFL.
  6. It's this type of emotional scarring that pushes kids into preferring Ranch with their wings.
  7. Little did he know, you dont need Tyrod to help with that!
  8. But then does that mean we'd have to be friends? ? Well I dont really care about the Browns that much, or even know their schedule, but it's been a boring 2020, so why not. What do you have in mind?
  9. Same problem they try to solve during the NFL season too.
  10. I dont know, man. I just work with what you give me!
  11. Blowing our minds would be great. But even just making the same amount of improvement he did over the last offseason would pretty much solidify him as a Franchise QB.
  12. Right. They only refer to the Cowboys game and the Titans game. Meaning they only saw the major, nationally broadcasted games. Which also happened to be his best, and one of his worst, all season.
  13. Yeah, the statement that Troy Aikman was the only QB to ever show major improvement in year 3 had me rolling my eyes. Like I said, Josh doesn't need to reinvent himself, just continue to build his game.
  14. Interesting stuff. Not sure I'll agree with the assertion that we've already seen "who Josh is" and that it won't change. It isn't like he has to re-invent his entire game, just start hitting deep balls, and a few other minor tweaks. The same "incremental improvement" that he then says he expects out of Darnold. So which is it? We'll see.
  15. The Bills have been a perennial 6-8 win team, mired in mediocrity. The Browns went 0-32 and celebrated an 8-8 year. Cmon man.
  16. If we're talking about Petty's best rock song, I'd easily go with Running Down a Dream. The riff, the ending solo... But yeah, screw 97 Rock. They play waaaaay too much ***** Eagles as well.
  17. That's comforting to know for when Beane calls you with the offer. But the question still stands: Would Clowney?
  18. We all know the reasons. He's been clear since his trade last year that he wants to play for a real contender. He's waiting for a big (enough) offer from a perennial winner. The real question is: Are 2 playoff appearances in 3 years, and a young team full of potential, enough to have him consider the Bills a contender?
  19. Interesing they arent worried about someone's jalopy leaking oil and crap onto the field.
  20. "Got a wife and kids in Baltimore, jack. I went out for a ride and I never went back." - The Boss "What's your name? Who's your daddy? Is he rich like me?" -The Zombies
  21. Except for the Bills game there last year. Not true. There is table jumping at every away game I've been at over the last few seasons. A main reason for going to away games is to bring the Orchard Park atmosphere to other cities. Bonus points if we can make them clutch their pearls. I'm not a huge fan of the nonsense, but it happens where ever BillsMafia shows up, and outsiders love us for it.
