  1. I hope it works out on the field, because I agree, it makes no sense on paper. This will likely be Hughes' last year, this is Murphy's last contract year, and Addison is already 32 and will be 33 when this season starts. On paper, it would seem to have made the most sense to re-sign Shaq, sign Addison, cut/trade Murphy, and draft Epenesa. That gives us Hughes and Addison as the old heads in the room and Shaq/AJ as the heir-apparents. But In Beane I Trust, so let's see how it goes.
  2. I thought they did get rid of that rule. No? Or were they only talking about it? edit: Looked it up, they are just talking about it.
  3. Quick! Trade him to Philly for a 1st and start the cycle over!
  4. I'm a huge fan of the change to the White helmet. I think they look way more crisp and clean. Kinda the opposite of what teams like the Rams and Falcons are doing. But I gotta admit, I do like how it looks when I see it mocked up here. Major nostalgia. I'm sure it's against league rules but could you imagine if the Bills host a home playoff game and the team came out in the 90s throwbacks??
  5. Haven't seen this posted yet, and figured anything would be better than another Politics post. This looks way better than I would have imagined... ????? Let's Go!
  6. And are there high-level meetings involved?
  7. Hey, if I was wrong, I'm wrong. I just read the stats on the main page. I default to Scott.
  8. You'd know better than I would. I'm just going off the stats made available to the public. Maybe the difference is in "traffic" vs "activity"?
  9. TwoBillsDrive.com, a website dedicated to a football team and sports discussion. The Stadium Wall (including sub-boards College Football and OTW): 365,697 posts Politics board, hidden away at the bottom of the list: 736,616 posts Twice the activity. There are some people who come to a football site and have only posted on PPP. I'd say folks here LOVE combining politics with their sports. LOVE IT.
  10. An NFL themed message board which has far more activity in its Politics section than on the main board, even during the season. So yeah, extra weird around here.
  11. Well that's... interesting. Kelly is primarily an estate/divorce lawyer. And is pretty right-wing, gung-ho military. So surprised to see her pop up here.
  12. This dude "Stands for the Anthem"
  13. Pushing Nationalism into the game via military advertising is politicizing it. Players didn't come out for the anthem before the DOD started paying the NFL. Why do we have the anthem before sporting events anyways? Take away all that BS and a lot of the other political stuff goes away.
  14. When everyone you dont like is anti-fascist... maybe youre a fascist.
  15. He's a former 1st round pick in his 4th season and contract year and he managed to finally muster up stats that are basically on par with Oliver's rookie season. He didn't even make the same amount of improvement that Shaq did. Plus, I believe he already has an off-field incident on his record. I certainly hope he is able to turn it around and flourish in a new setting and back under McD, but I'm not expecting too much.
  16. I'm not sure whether Harry or Butler is the bigger unknown right now, but I guess at least Beane has hedged his bets. Butler has been an absolute bust in Carolina. Hoping Buffalo is the change of scenery he needs to resurrect his career (a la Jordan Phillips), but I'm not counting on it. Yep. The value (even just to get a 5th or 6th) is in the trenches. Either O-line or D-line. As it stands we should have extra bodies at both, and that is where Beane has made these trades previously (OL). I'd be surprised if they shipped off any DL players due to the way we rotate. But we should have 1 or 2 extra OL, and maaaaybe 1 DL that could be moved. And that DL could even be Harrison Phillips since he's easiest to move on a rookie contract.
  17. Yeah, I get they're not quite there and not even really HD yet (although I think theyre at 720), and my original statement was always "I'll just wait until they release the Holodeck". But the few times I've used the Oculus (Oculi?) it's been pretty fun and amazing. I dont mind being an early adopter when it means it helps fuel the next generation of technology advancement. My main beefs with the Oculus are: I dont give FB any business or access to my life right now and don't plan to ever again, and I already have the PS4 setup and games to play with it.
  18. Not to derail the thread, but it's the offseason... Anyone own a VR rig? Either Oculus, HTC, or PS4? A few friends all own Oculus Quests or Rifts, but I'm leaning towards PS4. Mostly because I already have the PS4 Pro. Almost pulled the trigger on the purchase over the weekend, but I'm still on the fence.
  19. I'm sure they understand that, but they can't say it publicly. Nor should they. Any player who speaks out and suggests another player settles for less money may soon find themselves in the same position. If a player feels that strongly, they are free to take less than they can get, and let it be known. But even that is more frowned upon by other players than holding out would be.
  20. The Rooneys know a thing or two. Compare that with Tunsil taking BOB to the woodshed while acting as his own agent! ?
  21. Exactly, Mike. On the flip side, I was pretty confident Leveon Bell was making a mistake with his holdout in Pittsburgh. As a RB and dealing with the Steelers, it seemed he was already getting the best offer possible. And sure enough, a year later, he took less money to end up with a crappy organization.
