  1. No, just their fans. ? But seriously, no. Pats and Dolphins are most hated, Jets just because of the division. I'd be totally fine with the Bills and Jets (Allen vs Darnold) battling it out for the division for the next 15 years while the Pats and Phins suck.
  2. 150 players and staff x 32 teams = 4800 people. That is how many people you are giving it to. That is the real number. Cutting it down to 100 is intentionally misleading. Heck, why not just apply 0.4% to every 1 individual? That means no one dies! Just show the virus that math! This mean we're on the same page? Look, I'd love to have a real plan on how to make the season happen. I even appreciate your creativity in trying to come up with a solution. But when you work through the math, it just doesnt work. Doesnt mean we give up.
  3. Gotcha, so yeah, your plan is "give it to everyone and see who lives". That's not so much herd immunity as it is Culling the Herd. Some (not all) players might be of lower risk, but what about coaches and the rest of the staff? Frazier is in his 60s. Dabol is a chubster. We dont know who may have what vulnerabilities. This isnt fear porn, stop with your extremist nonsense. This is looking at real data and thinking about the real consequences. Let's think this all the way through since it's kinda clear you haven't gone any further than just having an idea. Even using your 0.4% mortality rate... Heck, I'll throw you a bone and use 0.2% mortality... Teams bring 99 players into camp, and lets say a staff of about 50 people each. That's ~4800 bodies you want to give the virus to. At a conservative mortality rate of 0.2%, that is 9.6 deaths. (Using the known rate of 0.4% puts it closer to 20) So 10 deaths of players and coaches in camp. When is the last team the NFL had even 2 players or coaches die in a single season? That would be looked at as a tragic year. Sorry, it's a bad plan.
  4. Not my arguement at all and I wont address any of that off-topic nonsense until you address your original plan first. How do you see putting all the players in quarantine as establishing immunity and herd immunity? 1. Everyone is tested before going into this quarantine. 2. If no one has it, they can not pass it because there is nothing to pass. Which means they come out just as vulnerable as before. 3. If someone does have it, you are saying everyone is signing up to catch it from that person, like an old school Chicken Pox Party. Except this is deadlier than Chicken Pox. So you are asking all of these athletes to knowingly get the virus, and just hope they dont die. What am I missing in your plan?
  5. Just because they are quarantined for 6 weeks doesnt mean they come out magically immune. It could be that no one ever had it, so everyone is still at risk. Without a vaccine, "herd immunity" basically means "give it to everyone, see who lives and see who dies". That's not immunity.
  6. Frankly this is positive news. This dude is a serial rapist and has been allowed to skate because of his connection to Scientology. Which, by the way, has poisoned the pets of one of the accusers. https://www.billboard.com/articles/news/8548927/mars-voltas-cedric-bixler-zavala-scientologists-killed-dog
  7. No, I like well-qualified scientist advising and speaking on scientific topics. Not just going on how people feel about it. And really, Trump marched him out to show that he had at least ONE scientist around even though he cut the entire Pandemic Response team. And then once Fauci spoke on his own and refused to be another Trump yes-man, trashed him on twitter and pushed him out of the spotlight. Classic Donnie.
  8. Could it be done with all remote cams? Seems like a lot of the show already is. Set em and forget em.
  9. Next they'll give him the most dire label yet... "FLIP FLOPPER!" How dare someone look at new data and change their opinion based on new data.
  10. It was from the first night of protests, which I understand feel like a lifetime ago but was actually only a week or so. https://www.11alive.com/article/news/crime/2-more-atlanta-police-officers-fired-after-college-student-tasing-incident-caught-on-camera/85-6b4bfb17-88f2-4dc1-89d0-db3c92caf785
  11. The first case, where they tased and ripped those college kids out of a car after giving them unclear instructions.
  12. Yeah, they supposedly had more call-ins than usual last night. Not nearly as dramatic as what was being reported on Fox News, of officers "throwing their keys on desks and staging a walk out" like in the movies. I live in the Zone that was allegedly the epicenter of this mini Blue Flu, it was a quiet night with no issues. The protests are still going on downtown completely peacefully. Boo hoo, they dont want to be held accountable when beating/tasing innocent people or shooting people in the back. They're welcome to quit, or better yet, fire them and strip their benefits so the taxpayers arent burdened anymore. Tear the whole thing down and re-build. Like they did in Camden, NJ and like they're doing in Minn.
  13. I love the guy who is putting out the satirical ranting videos, and ends each one with "F$#% the NFL!......... And GO COLTS!"
  14. Yeah, but it's better to say he's holding out to see because no one will remember he said it 3 months from now when he's at the home opener.
  15. I'm not sure there's a silent majority that feel so strongly. I'd wager the majority see the protest, recognize it isnt against the flag, but dont know what else they can do about the main issue, so move on and just go on with their day like normal people. Hence being silent.
  16. Between this guy and Josh Brown, the Giants have a knack for finding a-hole kickers.
  17. I made it 11 seconds, including the 5 second intro. Can't even deliver a funny opening line with a shred of timing or panache. Now this on the other hand. Pure gold.
  18. I appreciate your optimism that there is going to be a 2021.
  19. If I had 100s of millions of dollars on the line like Lamar, I would be fine with "taking it easy" for a few years to be able to retire at 30, set for life. Sure, play some touch football. But no need to go HAM just to impress your friends.
  20. Found the Pats fan. Reported.
  21. IMO, No, he is not a HoFer. Like others have mentioned already, I always felt he was over-rated and only voted to Pro Bowls based on name recognition because not many folks watched a lot of OG play. My dad and I even used to joke that Ruben was voted in every year by opposing players just so they could keep him on the field and keep beating him. It made way more sense than him being named All Pro based on play.
  22. Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
