Not a bad idea. Star is on his way out and we see how bad we miss him already. Harry is floudering. I guess Butler is doing "ok". But we could definitely use a big time compliment to Ed. That's not what McDermott wants or needs tho. Edmunds is playing wonderfully in McD's D and it doesnt call for a thumper in the middle. Never has, never will. Agree DE is top priority, but I think OLB is a big need as well.

In the offseason, both the Bills and the Pats were slated for 9 wins. And it was thought that one team would end up 9-7 and one 8-8, with whoever managed to go 9-7 taking the division. Then the Pats signed Cam, and Josh came into his own. I still think it will be a 1 game difference for the division, but probably more like who ends up 10-6 vs 9-7.

Yeah but for years we all had to say "Yeah we're 1-2, but we were THIS CLOSE to being 3-0, if only the O could score and the refs didnt screw us". And it didnt matter then, we were 1-2. And it doesnt matter now. We are 3-0 baby!

I dont mind LeBatard. As Ive said previously, it used to be awesome to read his column in the Miami Herald on Monday after a Dolphins loss to the Bills in the 90s-00s. None of us here could burn the Phins as thoroughly as Dan. 😆 Good on him for coming around on Josh.

After thinking about it, I think LB is where it's at. Even if Milano re-signs. And especially so if he doesnt.

I can see this too. Which is a pretty amazing feat given our schedule this year. 11 wins this year means we wouldve been a 13 win team on last year's schedule, and possibly setup to be a 12-13 win team next year.

Assuming we'll be picking pretty late in the round, and all the top tier DEs and DBs go early... Do you go 2nd tier DE/DB, or 1st tier TE/OG? The easy answer is: Whoever Beane feels is BPA, regardless of position.

It's tough to win 12-13 games in the NFL, even for a perennial contender on an easy schedule. Would love to see it, I Bill-ieve it's possible, but that would be a miracle to pull off this year. I hope you guys are right! GO BILLS! That's why it's in quotes.

Most preseason predictions, along with Las Vegas, had us as a 9-win team. A fair and reasonable prediction given our schedule and the questions at QB. While it seems the QB questions have been answered, I'd say that Josh's development has been "balanced" by some Defensive regression to keep us about equal to where we were starting. With that said... We are currently 3-0. That means, if you believe 9-7 is still a likely outcome with this schedule, we are looking at going 6-7 the rest of the way (yikes). I see 2 more wins coming from the Dolphins and Jets, and expect to split with the Pats. So that leaves 3 other wins. Broncos and Chargers are probably the rest of the "obvious" wins. Leaving only 1 more win out of Raiders, Titans, Chiefs, Seahawks, Cardinals, 49ers, and Steelers. I'd have to think we can get a win from one of those better teams*. But could also see us dropping a stinker against the Broncos or something (sorry, BBFS). So sitting at 3-0, and getting a head start on our record, how do YOU see the rest of the season playing out? Can we get to 10-6? Are we mentally prepared to go 6-7 the rest of the way? edit to clarify: When I say "those better teams", I mean that as "the better teams on our schedule", not "teams that are better than us". I also believe we can certainly beat more than 1 of them. Just crazy to think that with this good start, we could be looking at 10-11 wins even with a tough schedule. Also steeling myself to understand that even if we do go 6-7 the rest of the way, we still have a good shot at the division since I dont see the Pats being much better.

Eric Wood was on WGR Monday and spoke about this. Said McD did the same thing in 2017. Started the year with Miller at Guard and by week 3 had Vlad Ducasse in. Which was unusual to see, but it showed that McD is constantly evaluating, and constantly looking to tweak and improve. Couple that with the injury to Feliciano, and it makes sense to see some changes early in the season. We'll see some more changes once Feliciano gets back. But the good news is, the culture is so strong with this TEAM, and especially in the OL room, that they seem to take it all in stride and do not hit many bumps along the way.

The league is just trying to get through the entire season in one piece. I dont expect we'll hear too much about the new stadium plans. But it will happen, that is for sure.

Same, I was 11 and there. Whenever anyone refers to the Super Bowl years, the first image that immediately pops into my mind every time is the memories from this game and the visual of Biscuit standing there, waiting on the popped up block kick for what seems like eternity before snatching it hustling up field for the TD. The crowd going nuts and having to hop up onto my seat to keep watching. Then the subsequent scoring onslaught. I can remember it all like it was yesterday, clear as day. Funny enough, I cant tell you what I had for lunch yesterday though...

Burleson has been on the Allen hype train since last year. And this is all more a commentary on "MVP Vo ting" than knocks on Josh. Are you aware that to this very day, Russell Wilson has a total of ZERO mvp votes across his entire career. ZERO! He's never even received a single vote. So with that perspective, it would make sense for analysts to say Josh has to show some ridiculous things in order to get into consideration. Condemn the voters if you want, but that's the way it is.

Yes, we are all adults, but I also like that we are BY FAR the classiest message board you will find. I dont think about it often, but then go to some other team's message board and they all sound like crass, uneducated, cheap-shot neanderthals because of all the swearing. Those policies definitely raise the level of posting here. JMHO.

Thanks, wasnt so much worried about my example, just curious if there was a behavior I was missing. Like someone bumping all their own topics to "take over" the main page. I've seen that in PPP, but since that's non-moderated I didnt think much of it.

Not to get too into the weeds, but what are the parameters for Topic Bumping to be a bad thing? If there were a couple threads from last week that I wanted to bring back up because maybe something changed, I wouldnt think that's a problem.

As a well grizzled veteran of the Warning Points System, I'd say it's pretty good as it is. My only suggestions: 4. Points should expire after a certain amount of time. 1 year? 5. The poster side of me wants an appeals process, but I know without a doubt that would just be a world of stupid BS for you mods to deal with since EVERYONE would appeal.

Yep, I had said "35-32" is a completely expected score. People just have an issue with the order all the points were scored. Which doesnt really matter.
