  1. Yeah, Univ of Hawaii just proudly proclaimed they had no positive tests, and the players immediately re-tweeted saying NONE of them had been tested yet! So I guess that's something?
  2. Absolutely. It is no where near over. In a subsequent post I noted the spike that Spain is currently seeing this past week. The common sense practices have to keep going in order to keep a grip on it.
  3. That's right. Until there is a vaccine, any talk about "herd immunity" actually means "culling the herd" because the only plan there can be "let it spread and see who dies". Not a good plan. Thanks for the vaccine info and update. From that timeline it sounds like we should be able to have NEXT season, but any sports in 2020 are a reach.
  4. It wasnt all immunity, I'd argue that had the least to do with it, it was following (or enforcing) the common sense rules. Germany, Italy, and Spain were all hit just as hard as each other. And they could see it come back at any time (notice that bump Spain is seeing). But the common sense practices are helping keep it down. New York: WOMP WOMP
  5. Herd immunity is a pipe dream at this point. We dont even know if it's really possible, and considering we're starting to see people re-diagnosed after their first recovery, it may not ever be until there is a vaccine. (edit: I was just pulling up my sources from the re-diagnoses story from this weekend, and it looks like they are now saying it's merely remnants from the first infection, so maybe there is some hope) I'm simply talking about getting a handle on the virus. Italy, Germany, Spain all did it and they have soccer back. South Korea has baseball back. New Zealand has Rugby back. They were all able to drive down the daily new case numbers to a point where re-opening made sense and wasn't a major risk. New York state has managed to match the curves of those countries, but plenty of others like here in Georgia are seeing the exact opposite. Video footage from this weekend shows downtown Nashville as packed and roaring as ever with not a mask in sight. So we choose our choices and get what we deserve.
  6. It's always about entitlement and servitude. Notice the signs said "I want my hair cut", not "I want to cut hair".
  7. Everyone dropped the ball on the marketing and revenue money that could have been generated with masks. Trump could have been making a KILLING selling #KAG masks this whole time.
  8. Glad I could help! Let me know if you have any other questions.
  9. I said back in March that the PSA campaign should have targeted a "If you want Football, then... (wear masks/social distance/etc)" message. It's the one thing most folks down here in the trouble spots take seriously. Especially college ball.
  10. Correct. This isnt a "League issue" as much as it is a Country issue. Had Americans just taken this seriously from the start, we'd have a season. But that didnt happen, so here we are.
  11. 2015–16 record: 35–36–11 2016-17 Record: 33-37-12 2017–18 record‎: ‎25–45–12 2018-19 Record: 33-39-10 2019–20 record‎: ‎30–31–8 Not even a single season above .500, let alone a playoff appearance which most NHL teams can fall back-asswards into just out of luck. O'Reily went to the last place Blues mid-season and won a cup that year. McDavid and Matthews both have their teams in the playoffs since being drafted. It isnt ALL on Jack, he's a talented hockey player, that's why I said "those losers" referring to anyone from the Sabres in general. But he isnt "the guy" like other superstars, and NFL QBs, need to be.
  12. Loved Hot Rod too. LIke i said, go in cold and the first 15 minutes will have you going "WHAT. THE. *****. IS. HAPPENING?!?" and then when it all comes together, it's a great take.
  13. It is (imo) the best thing Andy Samberg has done since Dick in a Box.
  14. Of course I dont think the league officials have just been chillin in their pools all spring/summer. But they obviously dont have a plan. If you read player tweets, there are basic questions that the league doesnt even have answers to. That said, I 100% agree the scope of this problem is huge and probably impossible. What this ultimately shows is, there most likely won't be a season. It's too big of a problem to merely "work around".
  15. I made a separate thread about it, because it deserves it, but if you havent watched Palm Springs on Hulu yet, I highly recommend it. Dont watch any trailers or read about, it's better to go in cold and not knowing what is going to happen.
  16. I think a better title for this thread would be "NFL Leadership Drops the Ball". The players arent necessarily revolting because there is nothing to revolt against. The NFL has NO real plan. They had the most time out of all the leagues, and after months of available planning time showed up with nothing. No way should players be expected to play under that.
  17. Followed up with a gay joke! Now we're firing on all comedic cylinders! Side note: You wish, sweetheart.
  18. Go ahead and harass my daughter. ZZTop said it's ok! Just when I think I've heard it all...
  19. I find it useful whenever a woman is upset to simply ask "Are you on your period?". That usually reminds them and they calm right down.
  20. Yes! It's right up there with the classic. Different enough that it isnt a "rip off".
  21. Ok, here's the deal. The less you know about this movie going into it, the better it is. So NO SPOILERS here. I won't post the trailer, and I recommend staying away from reviews and synopsis, and just GO WATCH THIS MOVIE TONIGHT! It's the new movie from Andy Samberg and his Lonely Island crew. It looks like it's just another cheesy rom-com, but it's so much more. An instant classic. We've watched it 3 times since it dropped this past weekend. I knew nothing about it going in, and it turned out to be one of the best movies I've seen in years. Just watch it. That's all I'll say. If you already have, please chime in. But keep the spoilers away!
  22. This isnt about this dude, dont let him take the limelight. He was right about what the main story was, but now it's out and the women can speak for themselves. Their stories will come out with or without him.
