  1. If anyone thinks kids WONT lick something then chase each other around yelling "CORNONA! CORONA!", then they've never met kids.
  2. Pretty sure Billl was being sarcastic on a couple different levels in that post.
  3. https://ktla.com/news/nationworld/child-hospitalizations-from-covid-19-rise-23-in-florida-weeks-ahead-of-school-reopenings/ Child hospitalizations from COVID-19 rise 23% in Florida weeks ahead of school reopenings
  4. There have been more Studebakers made than Teslas, so Studebaker is a more popular car right now. Same logic.
  5. Unfortunately, that stage of the debate IS important since one side seems to feel there is an acceptable level of teacher and student deaths. The acceptable amount of teacher deaths is zero. The acceptable amount of student deaths is zero. Plan the prereqs from there. If we can't, then we aren't ready to send them back.
  6. No one is "past" it, you are correct. But plenty of other countries at least seem to have handle on it to where they can start safely, slowly re-opening... while STILL following proper protocols and wearing masks.
  7. People arent wearing masks. And then those that do, a ton wear them below their noses, rendering them completely useless. It's really that simple. But you can't say the recommended actions dont work when so few are actually following them. Dont turn it around on the experts. The issue is with the people.
  8. Holy *****, yes. I loved the movie but the show blows it away. Waititi and Clement are involved, and theres even a cameo, but it's a new cast. Who are hilarious. It takes a few episodes to find its rhythm, but gets good. Season 2 is even better. Check it out. It's on hulu.
  9. Have you watched What We Do in the Shadows yet?
  10. Glad y'all enjoyed it! edit: WRT the bold. Yeah, I can see that. But one of the things I like about it is it's 90min run-time. Back to the way the classics did it. I dont need my comedies to be 2 hours+. Get in, tell me a story and some jokes, wrap it up, get out.
  11. Band girls are up there, but I've found that Drama/Theater Club girls were the wildest. There's usually some overlap there anyways.
  12. The Bills had a deal all but done with the Texans to move up and get Ben, but Texans backed out at the last minute to secure the DB they wanted, and no reasonable offer the Bills made was going to be accepted. I think in hindsight, and seeing the trades made for QBs in years after that, they sweeten that deal to make it impossible to refuse. But it wasnt for lack of trying.
  13. Disagree. I think this last iteration had a decent chance and some good momentum from the start. Heck, there were even official fan clubs and team bars being setup here in Atlanta. COVID killed it, but that isnt the league's fault. Would love to see it come back as a Spring football option.
  14. I'd imagine ready enough, if they arent trying to have Major League Crowds there.
  15. He wanted to make sure no one could catch anything ? But seriously, that is way harder than it looks. Must be, with all the people who screw it up so badly.
  16. Exactly. To say what is happening currently "doesnt matter" is just a cheap and easy (and invalid) way out of a conversation they know they can't win. WRT the nursing homes. It's not good, but mistakes happen. Especially when dealing with little info, and little help from the leaders above (Feds) who once again abandoned the American people. The important part is seeing the mistake and correcting it as quickly as possible. Just like we teach children, admit your mistakes and address them to get them fixed. Seems some adults could use that lesson as well. As opposed to being 4 months in, having plenty of information, and still choosing to do the wrong/dangerous thing.
  17. The biggest city in the country got hit hard and first, when everyone was still trying to figure out what was going on, on their own after being all but abandoned by the Federal Government. Since then, NY has got COVID under control, while we are spiraling further into chaos with no end in sight, and the Governor is spending time and resources suing mayors for implementing mask requirements. Our ICUs are still at capacity, and case numbers are still growing. NY leadership steered the state out of a bad situation. GA leadership is putting the pedal to the floor, driving right into that bad situation.
  18. Thumbs up for seeing the term "sig figs" used. Blast to the past, for sure.
  19. This literally proved he didnt do that. WTF?
  20. I love your optimism, but semi-concerned about being in denial. I agree that "good" majority needs to stand together and squelch that bad minority of racists. I think that's what we're seeing across the country the last few months. Again, I think we're seeing that happen.
  21. Big Gulps, huh? Welp, see ya later!
