  1. The problem is, there shouldnt be "sides" about this.
  2. Jack Kemp, Bruce Smith, and Terrance McGee all have 1 thing in common. None of them have ever been in my kitchen.
  3. This is peak offseason ***** posting. Breathe it in. Enjoy it. The draft is almost here.
  4. I only see the new ads when I browse from my phone where I am not logged in. Never seen the new ads when I'm logged in, and using Firefox with ABP.
  5. Good catch. I got the year wrong, not the admin. The Spiller/Gronk draft was 2010. Nix and Gailey's first year. The rest of my post stands as intended.
  6. Not sure I saw an answer to my previous question, so I'll ask the architect. Where do you get an extra $500M (30-50% of budget) for making a building with a roof? T That is more than what the Falcons paid for their state-of-the-art retractable. We arent talking retractable here.
  7. Oh yeah, it was a Super Bowl, wasnt it... All fair points. I'm not saying he's great either. I like the "mobile Andy Dalton" description. But he has a decent resume, and I can see a late-round team giving up a 1st for him. I think if New England was in the 20s, they'd pull that trigger. But #15 is a bit high for him.
  8. If Darnold gets them a 6th, now they know that they can trade Zach Wilson in 3 years for a 5th! Looks like McNair's plan worked! <tinfoilhat.emoji>
  9. Age: 29, right in his prime, so not an issue. Potential: Took his team to the NFC Championship last time he played a whole season. Contract: $25M/year isnt that bad for a starting/franchise QB. Plus can be renegotiated to a new, long term deal to bring that down a little. I'm not a huge Jimmy G fan, but I dont get why folks completely write him off around here.
  10. If Darnold gets a 2nd + others, why not?
  11. Good trade for Carolina and Darnold. GTFO of NY. I also assume that 2022 2nd Rd pick is conditional? Might become a 1st on performance?
  12. I often dream of the parallel universe where Nix/Gailey drafted Bulaga in the 1st and Gronk in the 2nd in 2009, and gave us a team with the personalities of Fitz, Lynch, Gronk, and Stevie Johnson. May not have won much, but wouldve been an entertaining team. To party with, at least.
  13. Marshawn is a national treasure.
  14. I like how you are in here pushing the idea of "an open-air stadium, paid for 100% by the Pegulas". Sounds totally realistic. Good luck with that.
  15. I guess that's a no? Too bad, I highly recommend.
  16. He was in this one. You didnt see him?
  17. How is closing up the building 33%-50% of the budget? It isnt going to be retractable. That isnt really reasonable in WNY, nor will it be retracted when most fans wish it to be. Not worth it. Just put a roof on. Good dome pun
  18. Plenty of rookie WRs step in and go right from the start. The key is having a good QB and established system, which we now have. And plenty of 1st round picks step in and go right from the start as well. While I agree it is always best to give players time to learn, if possible. That is also a luxury. And not one I really want to give a 1st round pick, which is the big qualifier in this discussion. (or even a 2nd round pick for that matter) Drafting a WR at #30 to be our 6th or 7th WR while we have so many other needs that could be addressed with a 1st round player (CB, DL, LB, TE, RB), who could make an immediate impact, just doesnt make the best sense to me.
  19. Absolutely. At this point, whatever Beane does, I trust him.
  20. But still more than none which is what the option would be if they do an open-air stadium. Again, no one is expecting a major revenue generator. But something is more than nothing.
  21. Agreed on the explosive part. Just not sure we have room on the roster for a new WR this year. Diggs, Sanders, Beasely, Davis, McKenzie is 5, plus Hodgins... I'd like to see McKenzie used more to add some of that explosiveness. Then look to add a WR early in the draft next year after Sanders and McKenzie are gone. Rookies dont need a lot of time to "develop" when they are coming into the system with Josh at QB. He'll get them the ball. We should be able to plug and play next year if needed.
  22. ? Diggs has 3 years left Beasley has 2 years left Davis has 3 years left on rookie deal Hodgins has 3 years left on rookie deal Sanders and McKenzie are on 1 year deals, so I guess you could say the entire group is only together for 1 year. But the core of the group is here for a couple more years at least.
  23. Sorry for the loss of your buddy. Sounds like you gave her a wonderful life, and she returned the favor. Good girl, Penny. Rest easy, now.
  24. Weird rule, especially considering our Front 7 was the weak link last year, and the positions are so different, but ok.
  25. I wont ever complain about adding to the trenches. But wondering if these are the right guys at the right spots to help the team.
