HILARIOUS given today's news. A rundown of events: We’re going to build a wall and Mexico is gonna pay for it. Actually never mind we’re going to build a wall and you’re going to pay for it. Actually never mind we’re just gonna take your money. Lying to poor white people that poor immigrants are going to take their money while actually taking their money and giving it to rich people who then “donate” it back for more accurate and powerful propaganda tools to further trick poor white people and continue the cycle is quite frankly the GOP platform.

Training camp thread - daily or weekly?
DrDawkinstein replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll start a list of topics we deem worth of their own, unique thread outside of the daily summaries. 1. Anytime a QB hits a media tent with a throw. 2. Anytime a QB slips on a rubber mat. 3. Anytime they rotate the OL lineup (this also requires an over-reaction about who is being "promoted" and who is being "demoted") Feel free to add on... -
Training camp thread - daily or weekly?
DrDawkinstein replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm going daily. It's not like there is so much other stuff going on that the camp threads will clutter the board. Heck, if all we had at the top of the page were camp threads it would probably be a big improvement. -

Cropping a photo to focus only on a couple people who prove your point is doctoring it. Not saying LB3 doctored it, but I'd be interested in the exact wording of the google search that turned it up (if we were going to continue this discussion, which we arent, or at least I'm not, considering LB3 has had a rough go of it, and youre doing your usual constant-reframing-the-argument thing). To go back to your original reply to @Richard Noggin, you shouldve just said "so many people didn’t wear masks you cannot credibly claim that masks were the sole reason that virus did not spread due to the protests. " To which any of us couldve said, "of course not. masks, outdoors, and distancing are the 3 big components". As I had mentioned 2 posts above the one you decided to quote. And saved us 2 pages of watching you dance around points. -

Take that up with the National Bureau of Economic Research, and all the County Boards of Health listed in those articles I posted, which have done the research and have found no conclusive evidence that the protests caused any spikes, let alone were "super spreaders". That photo (or any single photo either way) does not accurately represent the totality of the protests. It wasnt me that tried using it to prove a point. And it didnt prove your point either. -

An idea I'm not completely against. Especially if we're talking outdoor stadium in a state that seems to have the virus under control, and a mask mandate (subject to fines) is in place. Then it just comes down to whether the Bills, the NFL, and the State of New York want to open themselves up to litigation for when someone DOES spread the virus at one of these events. That all said, I think it is silly that us adults are spending this much time and energy trying to get FOOTBALL back, of all things. How about we focus on what it will take to get offices back open, and schools safely opened? I'm as much a football addict as anywhere here, but it is low on my list of priorities right now. And I happily value the health and well being of strangers over my ability to go to a game. Forcing my way back to a game or even a tailgate isnt the hill I choose to die on. My man... between the doctored photo and this assessment of basic numbers, I think it might be a good time for you to take a break from this topic. -

That's not how it works and you know it. Yes, a very good point. And one I'm not against, if you can ensure people will be wearing their masks properly and consistently. Are you confident that is what will happen at a Bills tailgate in OP? Remind me, does NY/Erie County/Buffalo/OP have a mask mandate when in public? If so, that's an easy answer. Have the Sheriffs hand out fines for not wearing a mask. -

Why Not Beane as President & GM of the Bills?
DrDawkinstein replied to LB48's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
JMHO, but if I owned the team, I'd wait to see Beane get the Tre deal done, and then extend him. It would reward him for the work he's done, and also set him up to confidently work the Allen and Edmunds extensions. -
I have a very tough time getting on board with the bold. For so many years we've watched QBs who are scared to go down field. Who throw for 6 yards on 3rd and 8. Who make 1 read and dump. And it has been horrendous. I understand they played in a different era, but I think of "slingers" like Favre and Kelly. Favre had plenty of years under 60% (lifetime avg 62%). Kelly had more years under 60% (7) than over 60% (4). Those guys were always looking downfield. Always looking to make a play. IMO, checking down on 3rd and long is giving up on the drive. Might as well just punt on 3rd down if that's the case. I'll happily sacrifice Josh's completion% stat if it means he is trying to make plays, trying to move the chains, and trying to make things happen. I think the bad drops by his receivers hurt us more than Josh being unwilling to check down.

Why Not Beane as President & GM of the Bills?
DrDawkinstein replied to LB48's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I came in here to say that I could see the President title ending up with McDermott in the not too distant future. But that would be a few years away still. Great point about keeping Joe Schoen. -
69%?!?!?!? Besides it being a "nice" number ?, that is a ludicrous demand. Only 5 QBs were at 69% or higher last season. Drew Brees (74.3), Derek Carr (70.4), Ryan Tannehill (70.3), Kirk Cousins (69.1), Jimmy Garappolo (69.1). You can have Carr and Tannehill. They make that list just because they always check down and never make anything happen themselves. You can keep that Trent Edwards garbage. On 3rd and Long, he better not check down to a covered RB just to keep his percentage up. Completion percentage, in a vacuum, is a worthless stat. Josh finished dead last in completion percentage last year, but I wouldnt say he was anywhere near the worst QB in the league. Agreed on more yards and DEFINITELY more points.

Nobody on this board maybe. But plenty of fans for each team would say the same thing about Mayfield and Darnold. Although, the argument there is that they haven't been surrounded with the coaching or talent that Josh has (coaching Mayfield's case, coaching and talent in Darnold's). I don't know that anyone is expecting perfection from Josh this year, but he needs to show steady improvement. Not sure I'd throw him out if he looked exactly the same as last year. He just cant regress. That said, if he shows the same amount of improvement this year as he did last year, we have our franchise QB.
