LETS ***** GOOOOOO!

Reading their boards, they have decent takes for fans in their position. Pretty much: Burn it down and put it in Joe Douglas's hands. My only knock is cutting bait on Darnold too soon. But after 3 years in that dumpster fire, I'm not sure he'll be salvageable. Too bad, too. Kid had talent and potential.

Did you just ask McD to be more like Rex? How do I give a mod a warning point?

First Positional Matchup to watch against MIA
DrDawkinstein replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Based on yesterday's games, I'm assuming we'll be heavy on the run side against Miami. And especially with running Josh (given that Cam had 75 yds). Use that to soften up their pass D, then light em up. -
Little do they realize they should just come to the message board like the rest of us

Joe Burrow is 18 months older than Tremaine Edmunds. Tua Tagovailoa is 3 months older than Edmunds. Folks forget how young and green he really is.

Where the Heck Was Oliver All Day?

Our "top pick" caught a ton of balls yesterday and opened up our entire passing game -
Where the Heck Was Oliver All Day?
DrDawkinstein replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Looking back at the draft with the benefit of hindsight, there are no players in the end of the 2nd/beginning of the 3rd who stood a chance to come in and immediately contribute to this team. The only other one MIGHT be Josh Uche (DE/OLB). Who was ALSO inactive for their game yesterday. It's just the way it's going to rookies this year with short camps and no preseason. -

Oliver was in Darnold's lap from the very first drive. Disrupted him up the middle all day. But ok.- 110 replies

Agreed. I can stomach the on-air talent, and sometimes even like listening to them. But the moment they go to the phones, I immediately turn it off. Just the absolute worst takes from the fans. That said, I try not to let that skew my perspective of the entire fan base. For all the dumb crap he says, Colin Cowherd has a great bit about the type of grown adult men who have time during a week day to sit on hold for hours just to express an opinion about a game someone else played. Obviously, they dont have much else going on in their lives, and there is reason for that.

Bills vs Jets Postgame Thread

LOL, Gase... What? My favorite comment: "A slightly different fart noise" -
I needed this. Having a tough time getting into work, and cant keep my head out of football coverage today. I feel better knowing it's a holiday. Apparently the Falcons thought they had the day off YESTERDAY and not today tho

I'm partial to the gangreen.com forum. Usually pretty full of emotion over there. Just getting into their Gameday thread: https://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/2020-nfl-week-1-new-york-jets-buffalo-bills.94239/ Starts off so hopeful, optimistic, and even confident. Looking forward to page 2. 🤣 edit: So that isnt the gameday thread. it's the game WEEK thread. God, Jets fans are so annoying.

Stefon Diggs is THAT DUDE! Makes catches, takes big hits, but gets right up and never lets them see him even wince or grimace. Brings a level of toughness that we havent seen at WR in decades. Love it!

Josh Allen - week ONE report card
DrDawkinstein replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
B+ is fair. Dude looked great but you gotta ding him for not just one, but TWO bad fumbles deep into drives that would've meant points. Without the fumbles, he was a solid A. Even with the couple of misses (all QBs have a "couple of misses" each game, all of them). Great start tho! 72% (on 46 attempts!) and 312 yds. You love to see it. -
Someone hit me up cause I'm just discovering this now as well.

Then what is he going to put on all those shelves? Leave them empty like some crazy person?!? -
He played every position but center at one time or another, I believe. Did best at RT. They made him play LT when he returned from injury and he didnt do as well there.

First Coach Fired This Season and When
DrDawkinstein replied to Big Gun's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They really can't move on from that contract for at least 2 more years. And even then, moving on in 3 years, the dead money is still at $26M. That might be the time to clean house, and give the new GM a one-year excuse to tank since he'll be "handcuffed by old contracts". Then rebuild from there. Or just ride it all out and he'll be 39 at the end of the deal. Will be interesting to keep an eye on how it's handled.
