  1. To throw my two cents in... In real time, I said we were getting a flag the moment I saw Tre hit Herbert. I was surprised to hear they called it on Oliver, and thought they might simply be mistaken, since both were in on the play. The one thing I want to see on a replay is how Ed lands on Herbert. Refs have been flagging defenders for falling directly on the QB and not taking him down to a side. It could be that Ed drove Herbert directly into the ground, and that is why he got flagged. And they let Tre's go because Herbert was outside/running. I cant find a replay anywhere though.
  2. Vrabel is not an elite coach. Shanahan is a work in progress, and the jury is still out there as well. Might as well include McVay who just went to a Super Bowl, and who was also out-coached by McD this year. The other guys have all been Head Coaches for over a decade.
  3. Josh came into the league at a very similar weight to where Rothlisberger measured at the combine. Both around 240lbs. Josh could thicken up as well, and be that brickhouse on the tundra. Let's go!
  4. Guess who owns ESPN? Why do you think they force it onto ESPN? (hint: your first sentence)
  5. Fair point, I get it. But it's a wonky year for everyone. Just gotta roll with the punches. (I'd like to say more, but it's about Leadership through this time, and it might quickly devolve into the politics/COVID stuff which we are all rightly trying to avoid on the main board.)
  6. They can cry about it, but they are lucky to be playing at all this year. Given the circumstance, this is what they signed up for. There are a lot more people in far worse situations from the pandemic. The players need to grow up.
  7. This may all be true, and I'm not going to obligate you to dox yourself. But if you are going to post on message boards as an insider and NOT reveal yourself, then it is completely worthless and you will/should be doubted.
  8. Make you a permanent resident of FLAVOR TOWN!
  9. Your responses in here are... fascinating. What makes you believe TD is writing articles in direct response to a barely seen message board post? Does he post there too?
  10. Lot of good ones in here already. I'll just throw one more into the mix...
  11. This may be my favorite thing I've read all week! Let's Go!!!
  12. Player success, especially QBs, does not happen in a vacuum. Would Mahomes be as successful in Buffalo as he has been in KC? With the year to sit behind Smith, and learn from one of the greatest offensive minds in the game in Reid (vs Taylor and Dennison)? With the vastly different amounts of talent he has had around him in KC vs what Buffalo has had up until this season? He probably would still be "good", but I find it hard to say he'd be on track to being "perhaps the best QB of all time". We probably wouldnt be regretting the pick, but I can't say he'd be who he is today.
  13. Same. Sure, we're as much contenders as any other Division leader. Contenders doesnt mean "Favorites". Yeah, this is my feeling as well. We traded down with KC hoping Mahomes would slide and not knowing who KC was picking? SERIOUS DOUBT. I take these "draft day stories" with a grain of salt, especially when they come 3 years later. A lot of revisionist history.
  14. The comment isnt about the player. It's about the owner, who is brand new to the league and sport, not meddling and staying out of the way.
  15. And thank god Terry made the right choice of staying out of the way and letting the football people do their jobs. Maybe he should take more of that stance on the hockey side. I guess I should have said "Was never going to happen as long as it was up to McD", and it was. Luckily.
  16. Was never going to happen since McD didn't have his GM in place yet, AND had to settle on a 3rd choice for OC in Dennison who he knew he was going to replace the next year. Didnt matter who was in that draft, we weren't taking a QB in 2017. This thread is like a cow because the point is mooed.
  17. I mean, at least pass it to the rest of us so we can get on the same wavelength for this garbage.
  18. I agree with all this, and think Tasker should be in. When talking about the 90s NFL you have to talk a lot about the Bills, and when talking about the 90s Bills you gotta mention the guy who changed Special Teams around the league, and set such a standard they created a Pro Bowl position for him. That last bit regarding the Pro Bowl expansion should get him in alone. He literally changed the way we watch the game, and the way top players are honored. And with 4 Super Bowl appearances ("victories" was a bad word to use in my previous post), he should be a shoe-in. SHOULD be.
  19. I'm lovin it. Great idea. Cant wait to see it updated over the years.
  20. lol, matter2003 never brought up Fitz in that post. But now that YOU mention it... RYAN FITZPATRICK DESERVES TO BE IN THE NFL HOF!
  21. Yeah, I'm looking at the list of 25 candidates, and it seems we're quickly getting to the Hall of Good. Some obvious choices in there (Manning), but a lot of stretches too. Well, I'll say it again... It's the Hall of FAME, not Hall of Stats or Hall of Wins, or anything else. Just Fame. I hear sports writers (who vote on this stuff) describe the qualifying process as "If you were telling a story of the history of the NFL, would you include this guy in your story when talking about that era?" Super Bowl victories definitely help "good" players get in because they were part of something greater and gained the notoriety from it. And I'm fine with that. Since really all we're talking about here is another Marketing tool of the NFL (which itself is just a Billion dollar hype machine). Neither, IMO. But I could go Faneca. 13 seasons, all at a high level, and a Super Bowl ring. If we had to put one of them in, I'd vote Faneca.
  22. Ah, thanks. That makes sense. My only issue is that now it's all secret and covert. Whereas previously, even if it was one-sided and Russia was doing all the surveilling, we at least knew what they were looking at and how often. Now it gives us far less insight into what Russia is looking at in the US. I really dont see the benefit of pulling out of the treaty. Even with your valid reasons. Valid reasons don't necessarily produce benefits. Any thoughts on that? How does pulling out of the treaty really benefit the US?
  23. He is the only President to lose the popular vote twice. 2016, and then a landslide loss in 2020. And then he kept dragging out the recounts in 2020 to the point he has now lost about 8 times in just 1 term. Quite bigly!
  24. Different. Lewis was not involved in the act and only semi-involved in the aftermath. Bennett straight up violently raped and assaulted someone all on his own.
  25. How was it not evening out? Were they going back on the treaty and not allowing us?
