Post Game thread Bills @ 49ers
DrDawkinstein replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We got points and still had a TO to spare. I think folks wigged out when they saw the run on 1st down and never caught up to what the Bills were doing. It was great management, and great execution by the players. -
Cole Beasley is the absolute goods. What a signing!
DrDawkinstein replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Same. When they were on Hard Knocks he didnt look great and everything he said and did on the sidelines was really cringey. I wasnt that thrilled when we signed him. Boy did he prove me wrong. -

Butler played well tonight, and Ive been dogging him all season as a bad signing by Beane. Would be awesome if he started finding his footing and becoming "the best him" just in time for the playoffs. -
Kroft and Murphy inactive again!

Considering how many games he's actually played in, you arent that far off. -
Fraud or no fraud? that is the question...
DrDawkinstein replied to JaCrispy's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It's not so much that Trump and the GOP did nothing to secure they election. It's that they actively worked against it for the LAST FOUR YEARS. Because this is by design. https://apnews.com/article/693436f36ca04995bf66f07bd4d7b4e4 -
Fraud or no fraud? that is the question...

Well, to be fair, they did do a large investigation into said "fraud", and it turned up the same amount of evidence they are finding in 2020. Zero. -

No, not 30 days. He's been doing it for over 4 years. Ever since "Russia, if you are listening". Ever since he stood at the podium on a global stage and chose to side with Putin over our own Intelligence Agencies. I could hit TBD's character limit making a list of "Ever since"s. -
Trump's Legal Machine Grinds to a Halt

There's a special amount of bitter satisfaction us GA voters get in all of this. Ironically, in 2016, this is exactly what GA Gov Brian Kemp (then the SoS who oversaw the election) did to prevent any investigation into voter fraud from being done. From 2016-2017, when the GOP was still winning GA: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/georgia-election-server-wiped-after-suit-filed GA Democrats weren't even allowed to question the result, get a recount, or do any investigating because Kemp and the rest of the GOP made sure all the evidence was destroyed in unprecedented quickness. Imagine if Trump wanted to do these recounts and GA said "Sorry, we already destroyed the data, you'll just have to trust us". That is what we had to deal with in 2016. So enjoy your recounts. I'm enjoying watching Trump lose my state over and over and over. -

Any hand wringing has nothing to do with Trump's chance of winning. That is zero. The concern is the damage he is doing to America's credibility for no reason than being a sore loser. Like everything else he has done in his life, personal and professional, he will destroy something rather than allow anyone else to enjoy or profit from it. Now he is attacking our own institutions and the droves of dummies who follow him are eating it up. -

Exactly. We'll leave it at that. Like the cowards that ran to make their own safe space? -

It wont. The SCOTUS doesnt make a habit of hearing "cases" that are nothing more than flailing from a whiny narcissist with zero real evidence. -

Get off youtube, dude. And if you are going to keep posting every nonsensical, half-brained conspiracy video that pops up there, you're probably better suited for the other board. No fraud. Georgia just RE-certified AGAIN today after ANOTHER hand recount. Trump has now lost GA 3 times. And I love being a part of it. On to the run-offs. Early voting starts Monday. -
Line Shift in SF Game: Bills now Underdogs
DrDawkinstein replied to Casey D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills getting a point against the Nick Mullens-lead 49ers?!?!? DROP THAT HAMMER! -
It's not as simple as who blocks more guys. The Center has a lot of responsibility for making calls and adjustments for the line. If he isnt making the right reads and right calls, then that could be far worse than Winters missing a block. Heck, it could be WHY Winters has missed blocks. If Feliciano is doing a better job reading the D and setting assignments at the line, then that's all we need to know.

I'm losing a little sleep. Between this and the NY decision, they have set the precedent that there will be no way of stopping the pandemic other than a vaccine. Even with the change of leadership. The US will refuse to enact the common sense mandates that have helped other countries curtail and control the spread of the virus. The US reported more deaths yesterday than what occurred on 9/11. We are now going to be hit with a 9/11 every day until we can get a vaccine and get it distributed to everyone in the country. It is truly a pathetic look for the US for everyone watching from the outside. We look dumb and selfish. It is going to be a long 6-8 months.

Maybe, that's open to some interpretation. But even so, the second part has also been ruled on previously. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_Exercise_Clause The Supreme Court of the United States has consistently held, however, that the right to free exercise of religion is not absolute. For example, in the 19th century, some of the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints traditionally practiced polygamy, yet in Reynolds v. United States (1879), the Supreme Court upheld the criminal conviction of one of these members under a federal law banning polygamy. The Court reasoned that to do otherwise would set precedent for a full range of religious beliefs including those as extreme as human sacrifice. The Court stated that "Laws are made for the government of actions, and while they cannot interfere with mere religious belief and opinions, they may with practices." For example, if one were part of a religion that believed in vampirism, the First Amendment would protect one's belief in vampirism, but not the practice. The Court said: "Congress cannot pass a law for the government of the Territory which shall prohibit the free exercise of religion. The first amendment to the Constitution expressly forbids such legislation." Of federal territorial laws, the Court said: "Laws are made for the government of actions, and while they cannot interfere with mere religious beliefs and opinions, they may with practices." Unfortunately, this latest ruling goes against precedent. Something that isnt surprising for this now-packed Supreme Court. The Separation of Church and State is crumbling.
