  1. It would be great if Beane could bring himself to sign a FA from anywhere besides Carolina. It's not like the Panthers have been a perennial powerhouse. Wasnt thrilled with replacing Shaq and Phillips with Butler and Addison when it happened. Even less thrilled now.
  2. Forward laterals are always legal in Tennessee. That's nothing new.
  3. Oh absolutely. Total team loss in all 3 phases, plus coaching, and even Strength&Conditioning (why were we winded the entire game?) I was just talking about the issues on Defense.
  4. Id argue the main issues last night was missing Milano and White. If even White plays, the game goes totally differently with him on Brown all night. That issue is completely fixable in just patiently waiting for both to return from injury next week. The other major issue was coming in flat and slow. That's on coaching and can be fixed. We've seen them play hyped before. They are capable of it. Just an off week. On to Kansas City. (There are definitely other issues that need to be addressed over time. Just saying, these were the two biggest last night, imo. And both of them can/will be fixed)
  5. We blitzed ALL NIGHT. Not one of them made it through tho. It left our DBs on islands to get picked apart. It goes way beyond scheme and just blitzing more.
  6. To clarify my own thread, the point was that we defintiely ARE NOT a 9-7 team. Even after last nights turd, I still think we are 11-5. The swing of emotions and hot takes around here this morning is ridiculous (although not surprising after 15 years on the board).
  7. I said this last night. If we still had Shaq and Jordan, our D would not have played like that. It is personal with them vs Tenn from last year. They would have been hyped, and at least one of them wouldve made a big play when we needed it (last year Jordan made THREE in that game). Was not impressed with Addison/Butler/Jefferson's flat performance. A lot of factors went into the loss last night. It was definitely a perfect storm of Bills BS. But his could have helped. Oh well.
  8. Plus a number of players out, and havent had a team practice in, what, 2 weeks+
  9. Good for the preacher, at least we're progressing to consenting adults! And yes. I would also bang those two on a church alter.
  10. Stack the box, stop Henry, put it on Tannehill to beat us (he cant). I dont like the way I feel about this game, but I'm chalking it up to the delays and scheduling stress. We should own them. LETS GO!
  11. Football IQ does NOT equal intelligence. He knows how to read defenses, he knows the good decisions to make on the field. That's it. Has no impact on his general intelligence, following science, etc.
  12. He has already been voted in by TBD
  13. Oof, the video in that second link is tough to watch. Not because the OLine is so much ignoring him, but because he's asking a bad question (with good intentions, which makes it even more awkward). He's asking "What do I need to do to help you guys?" And that is a nice enough question in theory. He's trying to take some responsibility. He's trying to put it on himself. But man, he comes across bad. Almost like he's saying "What else do I need to do to get you guys to do your job?". Or just coming off so clueless, they're like "I dont know, go ask your QB Coach". Dude isnt a leader of men.
  14. I want him to sign a contract with the Bills this offseason. A one day contract, so he can retire a Bill. Then go into the HALL OF FAME as a Bill. Oh! Oh! OH! FITZMAGIC!
  15. Mishew tops your list? Kyle Orton Jr, really? Give me Darnold or Jones out of that list. We can mold them into decent backups.
  16. It IS a very Falcons thing to do to squeak out a few stupid wins and take themselves out of the running. Everyone is already fully expecting that down here. I also think an Elway/Eli move is completely on the table to get himself out of going to the Jets. And I wouldnt blame him one bit.
  17. Well that's why I specified ownership situation. And I'd say it's about even between having Watson, and having (Ryan + Lawrence). But yes, if Falcons dont secure the #1 pick then Texans do edge out on existing roster.
  18. The Falcons will definitely be the hottest open job. IMO, a much better ownership situation than Texans, Jets, Lions, etc. Matt Ryan is barely standing on his last legs. But with a dead cap hit of $49M next year (and even $26M in 2022) I'm not sure how quickly the Falcons can move on from him. I'd be happy to see Lawrence land there, and sit behind Ryan for a year. I'd be happy to see Daboll land there (if he is going to go anywhere). I'm not necessarily scared/worried about either of them, but I'd still rather see them out of the Division and even the Conference if possible.
  19. This. We could not have a better coach to guide the team through this crazy season. I have full confidence McD will keep the team on track and focused exactly where they need to be. Which at this time is on Tennessee. They'll move on to KC immediately after the Titans game, same as they would no matter when it was played. We actually have MORE time to prepare under the new schedule (Tues to Sun) than we would have had on the original schedule (Sun to Thurs).
  20. If it doesnt bother the players, you shouldnt take it so hard. It's just a game.
  21. The number I originally calculated many pages back was $7.5M just on base salary, but I rounded up since I dont know how all the payouts work. $7.5M would still be a lot. That said, I'm not against hitting Titans ownership with that. I still remember when that old coot flipped us the double bird from his Owners Box. (I know that guy is dead, but still, eff them)
  22. $10M fine might be a bit much. Not that I disagree with the idea, but I'm sure the owners would not go for that.
