  1. Cutting Addison and Jefferson saves us $12.5M. I need a little of that to put towards OL. So if we can convince Watt to come here to chase a ring with a well-managed organization, at $10M/year, then I'm for it. Won't go higher than $10M tho.
  2. Gotcha. Thanks for the insight.
  3. Maybe your previous post didnt properly convey what you meant, because it reads like you are dismissing these issues as something everyone has to deal with, and therefore isnt a big deal, and that these guys should "suck it up" like everyone else has to. 🤷‍♂️
  4. And it's these types of attitudes that keep perpetuating untreated mental illness as a major problem.
  5. The demographic most affected by suicide is middle-aged men. And has been for decades. A lot of pressure, not allowed to show emotion, must be "the strong one" for everyone else, and no outlets for dealing with it.
  6. Great insights, thanks for sharing. And not just that, but lonely, shut out (not allowed in the facility), and no longer "the man". All those years of having folks following you around, telling you how great you are, just disappear. And now no one even wants you around. It's absolutely a difficult transition, and deserves empathy, regardless of how much fame/money they've acquired.
  7. He always seemed... off, to me. Even in his younger playing days. That big smile was almost too big. Very Robin Williams-esque, where they are over-doing the smiling and laughing to hide the struggles. I was not surprised that he did not handle retirement well.
  8. Dont get me wrong, I never said he should be a starter. Just that he will end up with a chance at a starting job. Mostly due to the lack of better QB talent. He's definitely a quality backup 👍
  9. It wasnt all CTE. CTE often becomes the convenient excuse/scapegoat because we have such a warped view of mental illness and emotional struggle in this country. These guys would rather blame it on a brain injury than admit they have issues that are not so physical and far more abstract, nuanced, and therefore trickier to treat.
  10. Not a bad idea from a Bills perspective, but he'll be able to try for a starting job somewhere so that's where he'll go.
  11. 1st round picks are overrated as far as the level of talent and "answer to their problems" some folks believe they can get there. IMO, the big value of 1st round picks is the decent talent on a slotted rookie contract, and the 5th year option. I dont mind trading late 1sts for a proven vet, as long as they aren't also on a ridiculous contract.
  12. Well, no kidding. That's the schtick. But if someone it trying to follow the story, then go to the source. They made a point in saying it isnt WSB driving the silver action.
  13. I keep saying the Colts just seem like a fit. Dont know why, but thats how I see it playing out. And they have the cap space too.
  14. Reddit has no part in the silver market. That is being pushed by outsiders looking to take advantage of the hype. Just go to the source, folks. Lot of good info here. https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/
  15. Correct, I did mean that. Thanks! That's an experience thing, and we learned our lesson this year. We showed up soft and respectful. But the Chiefs already knew the refs keep their flags in their pockets for this game. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, well... I wont be fooled again!
  16. Haha, it's a good problem to have when we are mostly worried about our All-Pro Pro Bowl LBs maybe not being All Pro Pro Bowl, and not about how we find a franchise QB like a lot of teams are right now. Dead on about his play recognition and being easily manipulated. I go back to Kuechly. I didnt even follow the Panthers but I can remember Kuechly making plays in the passing game pretty often. At least breaking up passes, or tipping balls, or tipping balls so they turn into INTs, etc. But I can't name ONE good play in pass defense that Edmunds has made. And he has far more speed and lengthy range the Kuechly, but he's never in the right spot to make the play. With his height and wing span there should be no plays over the middle on this D. Yet that is where we get eaten alive.
  17. Because during the regular season we still had Moss, and while we didnt run a lot, we didnt completely abandon it like we did in the playoffs. Once we lost Moss, it was pass-only. Heck we went an entire half without a running play in the playoffs, where in the regular season we were still running effectively at the end of games to control the clock.
  18. It's just opinion so I wont say this is "wrong", but I disagree big time. An elite run defender to me is a guy who stuffs a hole at the line, or even behind the line. Or when they have a clear shot at the RB in the backfield they actually make the tackle. Far too often it is Edmunds making contact 5 yards into the defense and then hanging on, or flat out missing easy tackles in the backfield and the RB goes for 10 yards.
  19. Hahaha, I cant argue with that take. Works for me, and I absolutely agree on your assessment of his performance. But I still ask the question because some folks think we should have a Reggie Ragland/London Fletcher/Zach Thomas type.
  20. It depends on what other FAs we sign. If all that happens is we let Milano walk, and dont sign anyone else at any other position, then yes. We'd get a comp pick. https://overthecap.com/the-basics-and-methodology-of-projecting-the-nfls-compensatory-draft-picks/
  21. Not apples to apples at all tho. You need to be thinking back to the Ralph/Russ Bills. And then magnify the level of incompetence and dishonesty by about 1000X. If I'm a Texans fans, I dont like the team trading Watson, but I'm more upset with the FO that created the situation that pushed Watson to want to be traded. They can be mad at Watson, or the trade, but the problems will persist well after he is gone. And that will ultimately prove that he is right in wanting a trade. Great link. Good article. Yep.
  22. Define "real MLB". Because it seems like folks only think of the classic, thumper MLB but that isnt what McD wants. Look at Kuechly.
  23. They'd fair well financially. But the optics and PR are pretty bad from a fan's perspective. They might be mad at Watson for a little bit, but it's only a matter of time until McNair/Easterbe make other horrible moves and everyone realizes again that it is all their fault.
  24. I havent seen this many incorrect hot takes about Cam Newton since the 2012 Scouting Season. For shame.
  25. Reminding folks that the Conf Champ recaps are up and to give this young lady some clicks and views! Natalie >>>> Nick Wright
