White Facemasks are BACK
DrDawkinstein replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love the white helmets. And now the white facemasks make it an even cleaner, crisper look. -
Not sure it needs to be this dramatic, but here we are...

Lions fire HC Matt Patricia and GM Bob Quinn
DrDawkinstein replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love that he wanted Ed Oliver, because I remember going back and forth between wanting Hockenson and Oliver. Looks like Oliver was the right choice. -
Black Monday is coming (UPDATE: is here!).....
DrDawkinstein replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's had the OC role the entire time in Philly. When they show clips of the Super Bowl, Foles isnt consulting Reich on what play they are going to run. He only talks to Pederson. When they decided to run the famous trick play, that was all Pederson's idea. Reich wasn't even in that conversation. -
Daboll doesn't get enough credit for his trick plays.

Touchdown passes this season: Cole Beasely - 1 Isaiah Mckenzie - 1 Taysom Hill - 0 (forgot where I saw this joke yesterday or else I'd link it) -

Hmm, I think I'd rather have Dorsey. But that's just ignorant fan preference. -

I dont know about any arrangement, but there has been speculation that we would/could promote from within and move Ken Dorsey up from QB coach to OC. That would be the only person currently on staff who I can see as a reasonable candidate for the spot. -

He's from the Reid tree with McD. If Daboll gets a HC job, I'm not against bringing him in as OC.- 86 replies

hahaha, interesting catch. it is Ike Boetteger, and watching the video it looks like he is chewing on the nozzle of the water bottle. Which HAS to be against COVID protocols 🤣 -

Officiating across the league is god awful
DrDawkinstein replied to Brennan Huff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To me, making them fulltime and having them work year-round isnt about trying to get them 100% perfect and never miss a call. It's about getting them all on the same page, and making consistently the same calls. Two different crews can call the same game, heck even 1 single play, totally differently. Even worse, the same crew can call the same play two different ways in the same game! And that is the problem. Get the refs all on the same page on how they should be doing their jobs. Have them spend time with teams, informing them how they will be doing their jobs, and you'd have far less issues. -
To throw my two cents in... In real time, I said we were getting a flag the moment I saw Tre hit Herbert. I was surprised to hear they called it on Oliver, and thought they might simply be mistaken, since both were in on the play. The one thing I want to see on a replay is how Ed lands on Herbert. Refs have been flagging defenders for falling directly on the QB and not taking him down to a side. It could be that Ed drove Herbert directly into the ground, and that is why he got flagged. And they let Tre's go because Herbert was outside/running. I cant find a replay anywhere though.

Josh came into the league at a very similar weight to where Rothlisberger measured at the combine. Both around 240lbs. Josh could thicken up as well, and be that brickhouse on the tundra. Let's go! -
