I have to imagine this info is only being released to help drive up his price with the real contenders. If he seriously thinks Cleveland gives him a real chance to win a title then maybe we're seeing some early-onset CTE.
-
I wouldnt go so far as to call him garbage, but he isnt a great QB either. And you need a QB who can be great in order to win a SB. And I disagree that he played well on bad teams in Miami. He played poorly on some good teams down there too. Especially against Buffalo, and we weren't that great back then either. He's definitely better now than he ever was in Miami. But that still isnt anything great, or enough to attract big name FAs who want to chase a ring. That last part bolded, as it was the starting point of this discussion here.

I think Vrabel is actually a plus for him, and you are correct that Tannehill is a minus. JMO.

I mean...

Handshake deal with who? McNair has proven that he isnt trustworthy, so why would any player give him that back? Thurman was kicked to the curb by a team he still loved, and Watt was released by a mismanaged team whose dysfunction he was sick of. There isnt that much difference as far as immediate player loyalty goes. Any coach Watt might have loyalty to is long gone from the organization. And one of those coaches is now HC in Tenn.
-
Watt isnt happy with the Texans so there is some bad blood there. Regardless if one player asked for a release and one didnt. As to the bold... well... are you just catching up? Because Watt has been released.
-
Thats what she said! But seriously, not really that different.
-
Imagine Thurman Thomas playing for the Dolphins...
-
That's Chicago, where his wife works. So not really telling us anything.
-
Well its completely fabricated and irrelevant with regards to Watt's wife so no need to worry or be annoyed by it.
-
Oh yeah?

Huge football fan here that goes in early to watch warm ups because I'm way more interested in football than tailgating or any of the other nonsense and circus show that surrounds the game. That said, I tuned in last week only for The Weeknds performance, watched a little bit of the start of the 2nd half, and then turned the game back off. Not interested in watching Brady and crew in another one. Not interested in that Chiefs team. And personally, being content with what the Bills did but hungry to get to next year, I was just ready to move on and be done with the season. And between you and @T master, this is some great "Old Man Yells at Cloud" posting.

I believe the assumption is that Watt can be signed for cheaper since he is still chasing a ring. Whereas Miller already has his ring, and will be more likely chasing the highest contract. Plus I'd personally rather have Watt than Miller. Think he'd be better in the locker room. So no, I aint waiting.

Someone says this every year too.

Yep and teams know how to maneuver that spending vs accounting pretty well.

The Salary Cap is a myth. The Saints are $100M over cap, and looking at their ledger, have no way of getting under cap AND fielding any sort of team. But they are in that situation EVERY year. And just like every other year, they'll figure out a way to do it.
-
Maybe. Sure, players can be better in their prime than at an older age. But irrc, he has never played as many snaps in a season as he did last year. So its kinda a double whammy.
-
Completely different context and situations. edit: you can "laugh" at the post as a way to dismiss it without having to publicly lose the argument. But if you need me to type it out to explain it to you slowly, you are talking about a couple of rookies who didnt want to come to Buffalo. Whereas Watt is a 10 year vet who has been a good soldier and is high priced at the end of his contract, and wants to find greener pastures. Completely different.

I think the idea is, if he came to Buffalo where we have a decent rotation, and he didnt have to play 91% of the snaps, he could stay fresher and perform better.
