  1. Sure, but no clear season enders, or major blows to the team. Milano, we're used to being out. Samuel is just a role player. Brown going out stinks, but we have very good depth behind him. Any word on what's up with Allen? What part were they xraying? He take another shot to his left wrist?
  2. I'll give the entire team, coaching staff, and training staff credit, I really thought things were going to go opposite today. Lions with the dominating win at home, and the Bills getting out of there with a handful of big injuries. I was going to be happy if we just escaped with no injuries. Fun game, fun day.
  3. This has been the funnest Bills season since 2021. Maybe it was the lower expectations, but I think it's more than that. The team is having fun and it shows. And they are actually executing well. The last couple of years, and especially last year, even the wins felt like losses and no one was having any fun. I think it being so obvious from early on that we were going to have the Division locked up helps too.
  4. He absolutely is. He'd be great, for example, going back to Carolina and getting that franchise back to a legitimate team. However, we're at a much different level now. I've posted this before, but the most accurate thing I've read about McD is "He's the type of coach who can take a 4-13 team to the Wild Card round. And the type of coach who will take a 13-4 team to the Wild Card round." But let's face it. Without hitting on the miracle that is Josh Allen, his fate would be much like all those that came before him (Gailey, Marrone, Mularky, etc). No coach can win without a franchise QB no matter how good you are.
  5. See above. Without Josh becoming Josh, McD's career trajectory takes a much different path.
  6. Correct. Without Josh, no way is McDermott a HC right now. Keep in mind McD is the guy who was still going back to the Nathan Peterman well in 2018 with Josh on the team. If he wasnt lucky enough to strike gold with Josh, he has a sub.500 record and is fired by 2022. (He got 5 full years for breaking the drought)
  7. Yeah, I didnt like how that injury (pinched nerve?) was making his legs buckle on the way to the sideline. Dude already has back/neck problems.
  8. Clearly, the issue today is Josh needing more weapons.
  9. Poyer never cracked the starting lineup his entire time in Cleveland, and those were the 2-14, 0-16 teams. Hyde was moved around between CB and Safety and never found his spot. Until they each had about 5 years in the league. Hamlin had a great football pedigree coming in and still struggled to find his footing until this year (year 4). All I'm saying is, it takes a while to learn the position, and reading pro offenses. Bishop was much better along today than any of those guys at this point. He'll keep developing.
  10. Clearly, with no practice this week, Bass had him out on the Chipp Strip.
  11. I thought Bishop did pretty well today actually. Especially for a rookie Safety. NONE of our Safeties were as good in their rookie season as Bishop was today. Not even Hyde or Poyer.
  12. Haha, same. I wasnt expecting much today, and I was fine with that. Hey, we already have the division locked up, whatever. But when I saw those picks, I was like "ok, ***** this, we're in this"
  13. But he just turned 19! Oh wait, sorry, force of habit after I read an analysis like that.
  14. Is Sean McDermott even working as a Linebackers coach somewhere right now if the Bills dont draft Josh Allen? Who made who here?
  15. Bills were up 3 scores, but let them back within 1 score a couple times. Because we get too soft, too early. Only a matter of time until Josh cant bail out McD's coaching not to lose and making scared decisions.
  16. It was better once they figured it out and put Williams in.
  17. No, I remember that. And I'm thrilled about the win. What I'm not thrilled with is that we were getting stops playing aggressively and sending heat, but then every time we would go up by 3 scores, McD/Babich would change philosophy and go into that soft shell and allow them right back in the game. Over and over. Just put your ***** heel on the opponents throat for ONCE. It's ok to play hard and get a 4 or even 5 score lead.
  18. Even then, I was nervous until the end. 12 seconds is too close to 13.
  19. The problem is that prevent started in the 1st quarter.
  20. All the guys on our OL were here before the Dorsey/Brady change. Some/Most were here before Kromer. So nah. It wasnt McD.
  21. We are. I'm feeling great about it and will talk about the good points in other threads. Doesnt mean there cant be any discussion about areas of improvement.
  22. Ehh, maybe. I think it's more about McD's stubborness to stick to that soft zone scheme. We got away from it early and often, so it wasnt like we were stuck due to personnel. And most importantly, it WORKED, when we brought heat and went to man. But then we so predictably fall back into our soft zone, and they score in like 5 plays. A 14 pt lead in the 1st quarter isnt enough to go prevent.
