  1. If you go back and follow the entire BOB saga, Watt has been unhappy far longer than Watson. He was the guy that tried to fight BOB at practice and got him fired. The difference is that he is older and going into last year of contract, so he hasnt been so vocal, since he knows he'll probably be cut anyways.
  2. It costs them nothing to release him, and no one is trading for that $17M contract. I wouldnt mind going after him once he is released if we can make the $$ work.
  3. Its the same ownership, and all the idiocy starts there.
  4. Houston is set to play Jets and Bills at home, and Miami and Pats away next year. Makes me think they might lean Miami just to avoid the "homecoming" with the Jets.
  5. Except Watson already has his new contract. This isnt a hold out for contract negotiations.
  6. Nothing on the Stafford to Washington talk?
  7. Yes, a big reason why I mentioned them too. He's local and would probably like to come back if the Falcons can make it work. I wonder if they could send Matt Ryan as part of the deal, but I'm sure he has a NTC as well.
  8. Well... *gestures broadly at everything* I hope so, but I think you might be giving the smooth brains in the texans org too much credit.
  9. If I'm Atlanta, I'm trying to figure out how to move worlds to get this done. Bonus to us, taking him out of the AFC, and especially the AFC East. But I dont think they have the resources to compete with the Jets and Dolphins.
  10. Oof, fair enough. Not Smoke money. And talent probably isnt there either. But I'd still be more interested in him than Hilton. Younger, cheaper, faster.
  11. We arent in any better spot to sign street FAs. It looks like the Jags, Colts, Jets, and Pats will be signing everyone tho... https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cap/
  12. To clarify, my "awesome" like is to your idea of having an investment forum in place of PPP. Not just because you agreed with my other post, haha.
  13. I've been following the whole time. No one has made any killing yet, because they arent cashing out.
  14. What happens with the Bucs and Chiefs doesnt really say much at all about the Bills. It's the NFL. Any given Sunday. Here is how the 2020 Wheel of Parity went: Jets beat Rams Rams beat Patriots Patriots beat Dolphins Dolphins beat Chargers Chargers beat Raiders Raiders beat Chiefs Chiefs beat Ravens Ravens beat Browns Browns beat Bengals Bengals beat Titans Titans beat Texans Texans beat Jaguars Jaguars beat Colts Colts beat Vikings Vikings beat Packers Packers beat Bears Bears beat Bucs Bucs beat Falcons Falcons beat Broncos Broncos beat Panthers Panthers beat Lions Lions beat Cardinals Cardinals beat Bills Bills beat Seahawks Seahawks beat Cowboys Cowboys beat Giants Giants beat Washington Washington beat Steelers Steelers beat Eagles Eagles beat Saints Saints beat 49ers 49ers beat Jets Everyone sucks, deal with it
  15. I'd remove White, Milano, and Phillips (no Dawkins?) from that list since that was Whaley's scout team. (And maybe argue that our scouting and drafting was better under Whaley's team 😳) I'd say Beane struck gold on Allen, which is definitely the most important pick any GM could make. But hasnt really hit on anyone else. Edmunds, Ford, Oliver have all be a bit disappointing. Big find on Gabe Davis, I'll give him that. So yeah, "ok" drafting at best. Duck and cover on that take!
  16. Has Wall Street ever operated under any other principle? That's what the stock market is all about.
  17. Theyre using the same logic as the bitcoin hodlers. To them, it isnt about making money as much as it is screwing the old players and creating a new system. They wanted to bankrupt the hedge fund that was trying to crush the GME stock. And it has worked! They are beating Wall Street at their own game. Anyone who jumped on GME through /wallstreetbets outside of the first few days already knows they'll likely lose money. But this is about principle to them. But all it will take is one whale holder to cash out and it will all come crashing down around them. I have suspected from the start that this was all Deep*****ingValue playing the other WSB users. He will be the first to bail, and make all the money. Rightfully so, since this was all his idea anyways. What will be really interesting will be if the SEC steps in and changes rules to re-rig the system in favor of the big guys again. But man... Melvin received a $2.75BILLION cash bailout on Monday, and poof, it is GONE today. Melvin is not planning on filing bankruptcy next week. Crazy.
  18. That is a fun, but meaningless stat. Especially given how the team played in the losses to Tenn and KC, and the fact we had the Arizona game all but won. The team did fine without him.
  19. You're just going to have to deal with that. If not with Milano, then it will be someone else. This is exactly what happens to good teams who draft well. They'll re-sign some/most guys, but you can't keep everyone. That is literally how the system is setup. It wants to create Free Agents.
  20. Ok. Point is, the D and Team did fine with him and without Milano. Milano is replaceable. If thats the case, then I could argue the scheme was BETTER with Klein then the scheme they run with Milano.
  21. I mean, AJ Klein played well when he was in for Milano and only costs $6M/year.
  22. I would rather use the DL resources to sign other, more productive DL players. That is why I said "Maybe not the players we have on the DL right now, but as a unit." The game is won and lost in the trenches, and a good DL makes your LBs and CBs better. We learned that the hard way this year. We cant release a bunch of DL starters and shift those resources to one LB. The DL will be even worse than this year, and as the DL goes, so goes the rest of the D. Which means you are just wasting money on a high-priced LB who cant make plays because we have no DL. That is also how Beane works it too. They have set values for positions and units, and will only spend so much. They will not, nor should they, rob Peter to pay Paul.
  23. Again, fingers crossed. I could see Indy do it tho. They have a ton of space, and I believe he fits there. Why would he want anything less than his market value? I dont want to take resources away from the DL and shift them to one LB. DL is far more important. Maybe not the players we have on the DL right now, but as a unit. And yeah, "draft and pay your own". We've done that. White re-signed, Dawkins re-signed, Allen will get a big deal this offseason. BUT... it takes two to tango and from what Beane says, Milano wants to test the market. AND even if you draft well, you will never be able to re-sign everyone. That is impossible. We are re-signing the guys we can, and who want to be here. It's not all on the Bills.
