  1. Im on the first page. YOU jumped in late 🤣🤣👍✌️ Seems like youre making up an argument to justify hypocrisy but ok. Yes, he has requested a trade. Tough to work out with the existing extension numbers.
  2. So if a player sucks its ok for him to want to be moved, but if he is good then it isnt allowed?
  3. Much like Groundhogs Day every Feb, TBD celebrates an annual tradition to kick off the offseason by letting @BADOLBILZ out of his hole and counting the emojis. More than 10 means we're drafting another CB in the 1st round again.
  4. Whereas all your Pegula reporting in this thread is spot on because you were on the yacht to witness it. 🤣
  5. Speaking of Atlanta... Torche
  6. Bonus plug for the best local (Atlanta) band that no one has heard of, but who have managed to open for bands like Them Crooked Vultures while refusing to tour or barely play shows... All The Saints
  7. Starting to circle back on this, but "good music over the last 21 years" is a pretty large window. So I'll try to narrow it down a bit to some select choices, mostly off the top of my head, certainly not comprehensive. I'm sure I'll think of others to add later too. Since you mentioned Kyuss, on the more sludgy, stoner metal side... The Sword Truckfighters Baroness Thinking about Jack White and QOTSA... Band of Skulls And then some good ol experimental stuff... The Mars Volta is a classic at this point. Here's the first album in a playlist. Battles popped and unfortunately quickly fizzled in 2003, but left us with some good work. Will think of more for later...
  8. Sign and draft better players. Doi. The details are for him to worry about, and why he gets paid the big bucks. He went against my offseason plan from last March, and that didnt work out too well, so hopefully he's learned his lesson. He knows how to find me if he needs advice.
  9. Easier, but far less effective overall. If all you are looking for is easy, then go for it. I hope Beane is smarter than that tho.
  10. You are not wrong there. And not sure that's even "imo" as much as it is proven fact at this point. Whether looking at last nights Super Bowl, or going all the way back to when the Wild Card Giants beat the undefeated Pats in 2008 due to being able to get to Brady with just their 4 DL. It is a MUST to win Championships. And probably the biggest thing we were missing this year. Improve the Front 7, especially on the DL, and our DBs instantly get better. Throw money at the DBs, and our Front 7 still sucks.
  11. Cut Morse, re-sign Feliciano as a major priority. I dont like saying "whatever it takes", but felt I had to pick that for at least ONE of these threads. So I'm doing that here. Although I'm not sure if I should pick that option for Feliciano or DWilliams, but definitely one of the OL UFAs.
  12. Help what much? The DB unit doesnt need help. The Front 7 does. Improving the Front 7 helps the DBs. Get a pass rush.
  13. Great list, we're def on the same page. Let me get through my last couple of meetings and I'll circle back to the thread!
  14. Very good, thanks for the heads up! Will have to take a deeper dive into these guys later. But if this is the best you've heard this millennium, you've been missing out on a lot of good bands over the last 20 years.
  15. Absolutely. And this is Interior OL, a position that is much more valuable and sought after than Punter and even CB, where our other RFAs play. So because of position, I say you make it the 2nd round tender. OL are valuable in this league. Even "good to ok" guys like Boettger. You gotta keep them around until you have a better replacement. And even then, you don't cut the guy, you cut from the bottom of the list.
  16. Wow, going back to 2018 for that one! Good find! Weird, it isnt on any of the draft resources either. Maybe because it was conditional? He barely played for Carolina and was released that year so maybe the conditions were never met? Or maybe theyre just waiting for Carolina to make it official before updating anything? I always find the wikipedia pages for each draft to be the most up to date and accurate, and they dont have it listed there yet either. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_NFL_Draft#Player_selections Edit: FOUND IT! On the wikipedia page, under "Unconfirmed Picks" section. So looks like it hasn't been finalized yet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_NFL_Draft#Unconfirmed_picks
  17. We dont have one. Traded it to Cleveland in the Teller trade.
  18. Re-sign Levi Wallace, AND lets not forget about Dane Jackson who looked pretty decent in his rookie season this year. And Taron Johnson made plays as well. I dont think we need to add much there in outside Free Agents. Not interested in over-priced vets who are at the tail end of their career, unless it is a position in the trenches. And even then, I'm only half interested. Our Defensive Backfield is fine how it is. We need help up front.
  19. I voted the second option, but I'm all about negotiating with him and going up from my original offer if need be. I wont get into a crazy bidding war, but I do want to keep him and am willing to work on it.
  20. Nah, it's $22.6M in dead cap right now. Or half and half after June 2. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/drew-brees-mulling-nfl-retirement-saints-restructure-all-pros-contract-to-free-up-millions-in-cap-space/ "Should he retire now, the Saints can carry him on the roster until June 1 and officially retire him on June 2, which would split his dead money over 2021 and 2022 at roughly $11 million per year as opposed to taking the full weight of the hit upfront. If the contract went unchanged and Brees chooses to hang up his cleats, the Saints would suffer a $22.65 million hit -- the sum of what would now be divided by two." https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-orleans-saints/drew-brees-4542/
  21. He's retiring on June 2. If he retires after June 1, the Saints can split his dead money ($22M) over two years, 2021 and 2022, at $11M a piece. If he retires right now, they are on the hook for $22M in dead cap this year. All he did with this restructure is allow them to free some space before June 2, so they can make other moves in the meantime.
  22. Kinda the opposite, really. After the draft, the UDFAs end up in a better situation where they have a say and get to pick where they go. We lost out on a couple of UDFAs just last year.
