  1. I mean, who cares what these nobodies have to say? Not even going to give them a click.
  2. https://www.hookem.com/story/sports/football/2021/05/06/police-texas-linebacker-jake-ehlinger-found-dead-near-campus/4978568001/ Crazy. And tragic. I dont watch a ton of Texas but remember seeing Sam play, and the broadcast showing his family a lot. I wonder what happened with Jake.
  3. I'm confident the cap will increase a lot next year as the NFL gets past balancing last years "losses" with the reduction in this year's cap. (I put air quotes around losses since the league still made hundreds of millions). Not worried about the Josh extension. Exercising the 5th year option allows us to spread some of that extension money over the 5th year as well. Plus, with long term deals, there are lots of ways to fudge things around. Diggs is still another year from an extension as well. And outside of some ridiculous, anomaly contracts like Hopkins, Diggs is still paid pretty well among WRs. Finally, and the main point I'd like to make... The Salary Cap is a myth. There are so many ways to adjust and maneuver, it shouldnt even be something us fans worry about. Not even a few weeks ago, New Orleans was $100M over the cap, and now they are fine. And that happens every season. Teams work magic and get it figured out. Go Bills!
  4. I was surprised to learn this week that BOTH Beane and McDermott are only 5'7".
  5. So he could steam off the stamps and re-use them. Ralph is cheap!
  6. The other classic Donahoe moment is the "Save your postage" response that my buddies and I still quote to each other... https://buffalonews.com/news/donahoe-gives-bills-a-vote-of-confidence/article_17b3956a-7603-51f1-8488-1d3382b8b97f.html
  7. Yeah, I think this may end the player "boycott" of the offseason workouts. They were already warned in a memo 2 weeks ago that this could happen. Quinnen Williams had it figured out:
  8. This is like saying "I should have 'invested' in Medina Spirit this weekend". This isn't investing, it's gambling.
  9. Washington was allowed to walk in the offseason Donahoe took over, so they are both on him one way or another. Pat was the one who went to his office and begged for them to match the Vikings offer so he could stay in Buffalo. The difference was about $750,000 iirc. Tom said no, Pat left for Minn and teamed up with Kevin Williams to become one the NFL's most formidable interior DLs. Meanwhile, ol Whitey decided to pair up Sam Adams with.. *checks notes* Tim.. Anderson...
  10. Man this is a great (horrible?) list. I'll play too! Letting Pat Williams walk to the Vikings over LESS THAN $1M difference in contract.
  11. I am disappointed I missed out on the era where I'd get actual paper stock certificates.
  12. I, and everyone else who needs to get a head start on planning road trips/taking time off of work/building cache with the wife, cares about the schedule being released as early as possible.
  13. How much trouble is XRP in with the SEC though?
  14. Yeah, there are a lot of different variables that could drastically change the trade value. Whether we could work out a long term deal. IF Beane would even want to do that. etc.
  15. I knew YOU wouldnt let that Whaley statement stand very long.
  16. I have no idea what his value is, and threw that out to get the discussion going. 4th or lower sounds better than a 2nd to me! 👍 My entire thought process was "Well, he's probably better than Freiermuth"
  17. Gonna stir the pot here: Is there another A-graded draft in the last 3 years? Or does Whaley have the only one?
  18. Sounds better than my WAG of a 2nd rounder. Maybe they settle for a 3rd?
  19. Now that we've exercised the 5th year option on Edmunds, we could always tag Hurst next year if we need more time to re-sign him. A 2nd is a bit high for what could possibly be a 1-year rental, but I dont want to throw any long term money at him until we see him perform in our offense. But I also wouldnt hate it if we made the trade and immediately inked him to a 3 year deal.
  20. Big successful hits on 3 of 6 picks, and at key NFL positions? That's a solid A.
  21. Interesting. Eagles traded out of 70 Giants jump up to 71 and snag Aaron Robinson, CB, UCF Detroit stays at 72 and picks Alim McNeil, DT, NC State Eagles end up with Milton Williams, DT, Louisiana Tech So I wonder if the crew was upset that a Divisional rival moved up and stole their guy. Or if they really wanted McNeil at DT who went right before their pick, and then settled for Williams. Or both.
  22. Well... unless they negotiate a new, long term deal. 5th year options are now fully guaranteed.
  23. As posted elsewhere, FOUR of our draft picks from this weekend are older than Edmunds. Let's give him all 5 years and see where we're at.
