  1. Why would he? Assuming they re-sign Dupree, JJ doesnt even start there. And Ben is on his way out in a tough division, so they arent guaranteed contenders.
  2. They cant. Not at his current contract hit and with only one year remaining, and everyone knowing they pretty much had to release him. Plus, that's a really dirty way to handle your star player and historically "good soldier".
  3. This thread is worthless without pics... She's his wife now, btw. Yeah, I'd rather have her and be in SF than alone in Buffalo. I dont blame him one bit.
  4. I'm pretty sure the Carrs already know to stay far away from Houston. Will be very interesting if LV tries to trade him there. That family is on record (often) talking about how that mismanaged franchsie ruined his brother's career. The Carrs are the original Watson. Would be hilarious if TWO QBs forced their way off the team in one year.
  5. Starting to smell a little cultish...
  6. Speaking for myself, yeah, pretty much. Expensive and old. If we are going to pay top dollar, I'd rather it be for a guy coming out of his rookie contract (or close enough to it like Dupree). Hughes and Addison are 32 and 33, Miller is 31. We need to get much younger at the position so we can nail it down for the future.
  7. Yeah that seems about right. I wanted to give 2 2nds for Ngakoue last year.
  8. Cmon man. Cant start this thread and not provide a list, or even a single suggestion.
  9. They definitely each bring different things to the table. The knock on Etienne is the mileage he has already accrued, and how much wear and tear has been put on his body. Best case would be both are available at 30, and we get our pick. I'd be happy with either in that case, knowing that Beane got the guy he truly wanted. But I also wont be upset if Etienne goes early and we still take Harris. I don't necessarily see that as a desperate move to fill a hole. Especially since RB isnt a huge need.
  10. So you think employees should stand up for themselves and walk away from bad management in order to protect themselves and their reputation, and try to find work elsewhere. Especially when they are told they can have input on the HC hire, but than aren't given that opportunity. Another vote on Watson's side!
  11. There is a HUGE difference between the 2015 Pegulas who were first-time NFL owners and complete outsiders to the league and in way over their head to start, and 2020 Cal McNair whose father started the team and has been around the NFL since at least 1999. Even with the extra decades of tenure and experience, he has managed is team to be in a far worse place than the Pegulas.
  12. I let them work that out in camp. Bring in good competition and let the cream rise to the top. And I'm not really giving up on anyone since we have a 19-20 game schedule to think about now. RBs get banged up. Worth keeping a few around, especially when theyre all on rookie deals.
  13. I absolutely agree. Dont get me wrong, I'm only focusing on the Harris pick here because it's the main topic of the thread. I'd say our Defensive Front 7 is the biggest area of weakness, followed by some OL needs. If it were completely up to me, we'd have the unicorn DE or LB waiting there for us at #30. Additionally, after watching us screw up so badly with wasting early 1st round picks on Lynch and Spiller, I have been in the camp that pounded the table to never draft another RB in the 1st ever again. Buuuuut... that was when we were always picking around #9-12, it's a little different at #30. And we have other ways and opportunities to address our needs besides the #30 draft pick (the rest of the draft, free agency, Beane's trades). So if Harris (or even Etienne) is there, I wouldn't be upset if we snagged him.
  14. Very good point, but I'd rather have Harris over another Epenesa.
  15. Not at all, but it's definitely a red flag on your GM resume. haha
  16. Except we arent picking 9th overall. Or even in the top half. We're picking 30th over. A couple of picks from the 2nd round. Bills fans need to make a major shift and get used to what life is like picking at the end of the rounds. It's a different world. But that doesnt mean you get to stray off of BPA too far just to pick by player position. Too much reaching for need will kill a team. Look at Belichick's draft record picking late. Lot of interior OL busts when he was desperate for OL, but Sony Michel was a great pick there at 31.
  17. It's BPA at a position that could use an upgrade. We ran fine during the year when Moss was around, but once he went down we had nothing. Get some better talent there at a good value spot in the draft.
  18. So you'd rather reach for the 4th or 5th best edge, LB, or CB instead of picking the BPA and one of the top RBs? Dont get me wrong, I'd love to be able to fill a defensive hole there. But it's not like our RBs are set at all either, and we have a shot at one of the best in the draft.
  19. All good. It's the offseason for all of us Plus, I dont blame anyone for not wanting to go back into that Watson thread or whatever it's become...
  20. Kiper's Mock had Buffalo taking Harris at #30 as well. I'm for it.
  21. I'd like to keep him. Seems to have good chemistry with the team, and seems under-utilized for what he is capable of doing. I'd keep him over Brown.
  22. This thread is about Russell Wilson. 🤷‍♂️
