Parsons traded to Green Bay, given $188 million contract
DrDawkinstein replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
The luck part was referring to the Packers and how they somehow were in position to do this. To your point, they had 1 guy worth an extension. That was due to bad luck in mediocre drafting, and good luck of having resources when this trade opportunity, which no one, even Jerry Jones, thought would happen just 48 hours ago. Yes, we chose to give all those guys extensions, because the alternative of waiting just in case a team gets dumb enough to trade their future HoFer Pass Rusher, which almost NEVER happens, would be worse mismanagement than what the Cowboys just pulled off. I think we're saying the same thing. But there is no criticism of the Bills here. I wont criticize them for not predicting a rogue meteor, or lightning strike. Had Jerry been in touch with reality at all and had Parsons available in March or April, the Bills would have been all over it. We wouldnt have signed Bosa, we wouldnt have spent all those picks on DL. We would have used those resources and more to try to get him. -
Hard Knocks can really redeem itself next episode if they show the scene of Poyer breaking the news to Rachel Bush that they're going back to Buffalo. And then another scene later on when she realizes he'll be making Practice Squad money.

I mean, it's more luck than brains there since they simply dont have guys from the 2021 and 2022 drafts that deserve decent extensions. It's not a mystery of "somehow", it's due to mediocre/poor drafting prior. There wasnt some strategic, brilliant decision to not pay their guys because they saw this coming. They didnt predict anything. -

And Cook trusting Beane enough to go along, instead of Beane doing super shady stuff like trying to deal with only the player and not the agent. -
It;s also incredibly addicting and there are a lot of dirty doctors willing to prescribe it for the money. Same situation with the dirty doctors too. Private Drs and addictive drugs have now gotten Irsay Matthew Perry Michael Jackson (Fentanyl) Prince (Fentanyl) and thats just off the top of my head. And we havent even gotten into their manufactured opioid crisis.

Only person who loves his contract more than Parsons is Aiden Hutchinson -

Yep. Jerry couldve started the process March 12th and had him signed March 15th. But here we are. -

I think everyone gets that. But the point is, once you dont trade him in March, you need to get him signed immediately. It should have been a very easy deal to do, instead Jones had to try to flex and posture and delay because... reasons. He couldve had him signed before Garrett, he couldve had him signed before Watt. This is all on Jerry and a huge misplay at every step. -

Dallas couldve gotten more if they dealt him in the beginning of the offseason, before Garret and Watt re-signed. But that contract lowered whatever they could get in return. Jerry messed it up as usual. -

Glad he's staying in the NFC at least! -
Oh yeah, man. No complaints here. So much fun.

Currently in the phase where our 6yr old and her activities are our main hobbies. So with that said, if anyone wants to swap Pokemon Go Friend codes, hit me up! 😆

Sad, addiction sucks and he sure was fighting it. These "private doctors" that are nothing more than drug pushers tho...

A DB from the early-00s lives in my parents neighborhood in Lancaster. I think it's Ken Irvin, might be Marlon Kerner, but Irvin sounds right.

Anyone have a link to a site that shows all the teams rivalry unis in one easy place?
-
Not a huge fan but like them better than the all-Reds. They look like UB to me...

It was great TV when the 2012 Dolphins revolted against Philbin. Would be fun to watch it again this year.
-
Yeah but they already stopped all that documentary stuff with the no cuts, no cameras in coaches' offices stuff. This is all fluff and marketing this year. They need to go back to the bad teams next year. Give me full access in the Raiders building. 😆 What other last place teams would make for good TV?
-
Agreed. Good teams are just guys going to work and "doing their job". Nothing too entertaining as it is. WRT Davidson, maybe they (Beane) knew he was likely cut and wanted to talk him up so he catches on with another team? The Bills do a pretty good job at setting guys up to get work elsewhere.
