My immediate first thought, and exactly what this feels like. Especially after reading that entire "announcement" which was a lot of blabber about the lawyer and his family, with no substance.

Red Rifle aka Andy Dalton to Chi town.

Raiders cut center Rodney Hudson, possibly cash poor
DrDawkinstein replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wait. Players get paid out of Revenue Sharing that gets doled out by the League Office. HowTF could the Raiders say they don't have the money to pay guys? It isn't their money? -
6 teams have until 4 pm tomorrow to get under the cap

lol, Bears. $20M over, only 53 players on roster. Who do they even cut? And they suck. -
Patriots add "stud" WR Kenny Bourne [edited title]

I hope Beane is showing interest in everyone the Pats are after and running up the price! -
Gronk Considered signing with Bills

Congrats on not posting screen shots anymore. -
Interesting observation, but it neglects to consider the players' perspective. Ngakoue has been trying to hit the open market, and decide his own fate, for years. Instead, he was tagged in Jax, then traded to Minn, then traded again to Baltimore. I'm not surprised he tested the market as soon as he could. Judon was going to be paid more than he was worth, and the Ravens (and Judon's camp) knew this. I think it is all more coincidental, than showing any trends that outside rush isn't important. It definitely is.

And they just traded to bring Trent Brown back

Alright, Pats got me with this one. Sonofa!

He was absolutely game-changing good, and regularly put us in great field position. But I do agree the money should be spent elsewhere.

Bills re-sign Feliciano
DrDawkinstein replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No one wants to leave the team. As evidenced not only by all of these players returning as discounted rates, but also how John Brown left the facility pretty much kicking and screaming. -

WOW, Magic Beane sprouts again. Dude is killin it. That's my GM! -
Eh, maybe. But if there is one thing I've learned, it's don't count Beane out of anything. And I'd be shocked if the only idea he had for DE was "Watt or draft pick".
-
Based on Watt-Watch coming down to the Cardinals and Bills, folks should expect that we ABSOLUTELY go after DL help in free agency.
-
I dont give a *****, Andy. Agreed, and Beane screwed the pooch last year by not releasing Murphy before his guarantee kicked in. But I dont think now is the right time for Hughes. More so based on where the team is than the player. Unless they have a big time FA lined up. Not saying Beane wont do anything there, but imo, I let the man keep his money.
-
Hughes is set to make only $9.45M, and imo has earned the right to keep every penny of it. Leave him be.

Poor Joey B, but frankly, the less of this prediction that comes true, the better. Now bring back McKenzie! -

Tom Brady signs 4 Year Extension (playing to 47)
DrDawkinstein replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Interesting. But if last year proved anything it was that Brady was the one responsible for shoving our faces in the dirt for 20 years, not the Pats. Still hate him. -
Tom Brady signs 4 Year Extension (playing to 47)
DrDawkinstein replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, that was a confusing tweet. Looks like the extension is 4 years (onto the 1 remaining), but Tampa can void it in 2 years, so he is locked into Tampa for at least 2 seasons, but could be 5. -

Free Agency doesnt start for 5 more days, so neither. Unless you are talking about guys who are already home on the couch. -
