All hopes pinned on Star?
DrDawkinstein replied to Desert Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I havent done any deeper film study (and probably wouldnt know what to look for even if I tried), but Harry looked like he had his best 1-tech game ever in the playoff game against Baltimore. Fingers crossed that the light finally came on for him there. Even so, we still need to draft another to prepare for Star leaving next year. -
All hopes pinned on Star?
DrDawkinstein replied to Desert Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You beat me to it. Was just starting a thread titles "Where's the Beef? (Addressing the 1-Tech)" Even if Star shows up in the best shape of his life, we need to draft another true big-body 1-tech to get ready to take over next year. I don't know who that is in the 2021 draft. Is that Christian Barmore at #30? Marvin Wilson at #61? Someone even later? -
Georgia election laws and MLB
DrDawkinstein replied to Orlando Buffalo's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It is disingenuous to quote this and provide no link or information as to WHY those votes were tossed. The issue was with the mail-in ballot process, and the cloudy rules that voters needed to follow. The majority of those tossed ballots were not due to some nefarious fraud attempt. Like ineligible people trying to vote, or someone trying to vote twice, etc. Almost ALL of them were tossed due to user error and signature mismatch. The Signature Mismatch is a huge point of debate as well. Here in GA, they threw out ballots if the use of a hyphen did not sync. For example, someone used a hyphen when signing for their drivers license, but didn't use the hyphen on their ballot. EVEN IF everything else about the signature matched. A method that multiple courts have ruled is unconstitutional. https://www.npr.org/2018/11/03/663937578/judge-rules-against-georgia-election-law-calling-it-a-severe-burden-for-voters So yeah, no real fraud, just administrative/user errors because voting by mail was new to so many people last year. -

Absolutely zero evidence of that every happening. Yet another false narrative, made-up boogeyman that isnt based in reality. -
Bills players you disliked
DrDawkinstein replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
NOW we're talking! Way easier to come up with Head Coaches and FO guys I've disliked than players. Actually... easier to come up with a short list of HC/FO guys I actually liked! -
Bills players you disliked
DrDawkinstein replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, this is a great question by @Royale with Cheese, but one I'm having a hard time answering. I guess Maybin and McGahee were the closest to guys I didnt like while they were here. Most of our other villains, I gave a pass because it wasnt their fault most were 1. over-drafted and 2. to a horribly managed organization. -
Watson, Adams, Rudolph, Gladney

Almost started a similar thread earlier. It's been a heck of an offseason already for the NFL and its players. Some real bad stuff too. I think you are on the right track with the combination of CTE, addiction, and poor mental heath. -
Wow, that is going DEEP! Pre-drought even! I had to look him up.

Getting my 1st Covid vaccination Tuesday
DrDawkinstein replied to Chandler#81's topic in Off the Wall
The J&J shot hit me pretty hard. I was laid up with the same symptoms as you mentioned. All I can tell you is, hang in there, it was gone as quickly as it came. You'll be 100% and feeling better than ever by the weekend. -
I find it strange that anyone who has been paying attention for the last 20 years can't understand why Bills fans might hate the Patriots and some players. Besides the consistent ass-kickings we've had to endure, usually at blow out levels, we also know they are whiners, cheaters, dirty players, and have actively disparaged our hometown in the media. This shouldnt need to be explained in the least.

Here's the thing with Brady... Yeah, I have an intense irrational personal hatred for him which I normally dont let myself get roped into when it comes to sports and athletes who I dont personally know. But at least with Brady, there is the ability to (begrudgingly) respect his on-field play as the greatest of all time. Edelman isnt even a top-100 WR. He's just a little punk who plays dirty and arrogantly and no one has punched him in the mouth for it, so he keeps doing it. I cant stand him or the way he plays. Good call on Harrison too. Similar take as Edelman. The Patriots players I do hate, I fully admit is on me, and I am not proud of it. But it is what it is. There are a number that I dont hate, and even almost liked. I was a Brandon Spikes fan while he was in college, and was glad when he joined the Bills. Never hated him as a Patriot. Plenty of others.

Nah. “Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'” ― Isaac Asimov This is why we have so many Flat Earthers in 2021. This idea that ALL opinions should be "respected". FACTS should be respected. Opinions are like a-holes, everyone has one and most stink. There is no requirement that all should be respected.

State of the Bills Roster 3 weeks into FA
DrDawkinstein replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To the bolds... I'm less surprised than most with the Bills not bringing in a CB. I think they are very happy with the development of Taron Johnson and Dane Jackson, and will look to add via another mid/late-round pick. The high number of OL is Beane's MO. He couldnt do this last year with COVID mucking everything up, but his usual trick is to sign a lot of "decent" OL and then trade away the extras for mid-round picks as we get through camp. -
What habit have you ever broken?

Or when you think youre just going to harmlessly bite that tiny piece of cuticle off, and it ends up ripping your entire finger apart. I really gotta put an end to this. -

Georgia election laws and MLB
DrDawkinstein replied to Orlando Buffalo's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Because the whole thing is silly and unnecessary and only serves to give authorities another path to make voting more difficult. If there are so many ways around it, why have it at all? It's also interesting that its the main thing you are focusing on. But I'm not going to debate any longer this with a hypocrite who is responding from a Democratic lead state, and who takes full advantage of the luxury of having Democratic voting policies. Trade in your mail-in ballot and go stand in line for 8 hours yourself if you think these are such great policies. Meanwhile, we'll be fighting for our most basic rights down here in GA. -
Georgia election laws and MLB
DrDawkinstein replied to Orlando Buffalo's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Yes, as a City of Atlanta voter whose rights are under direct attack here, I know the bill very well. Seems like you are getting your info from biased talking points tho. It does neither of what you are stating, but does use some BS to try to give that image. Just like the same false narrative that this bill is necessary due to fraud in the last election. And again you show you dont know anything about what we are facing in this state. 150 feet is child's play for GA voting. Strange that as someone such as yourself who votes by mail (also under attack here) with no issues, you have no problem with our local government attacking that very method. -
Georgia election laws and MLB
DrDawkinstein replied to Orlando Buffalo's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Meaning they arent campaigning for any politician. Simply there to give out supplies. It's necessary because thanks to Kemp/GOP policies, we have times of 6+ hours people wait in line just to vote here in GA. The solution would be to get those times down, but that means making it easy for the highly populated (read:Democrat) areas to vote. Which is the opposite of what they are trying to do. -

Local Governments getting involved. Which Repubs should love since they are all about keeping it small and local.
