They showed the numbers with and without Deebo, and without Deebo SF is pretty average at best. Whatever it is that he brings and makes the defenses do obviously helps the entire team. Aiyuk is a very good WR, but doesnt bring anything extra or special beyond what any other good WR would do.

Fair point, although I hope thats not what @Don Otreply meant. -

As it should be, and exactly why millionaires should pay their taxes. Otherwise, those millionaires are putting the entire burden on us, the middle class. -

As they should. Not trying to create LLCs and shirk the rules just because they can pay lawyers. Anything else, take it to PPP. -

I pay my share. And this kid will make more this year than I'll make working my entire lifetime. Let me be clear: I fully support these players milking every dollar they can from the trillion dollar NFL which makes it money off fans And then I fully expect these millionaires (and billionaire owners) to pay their fair share into the infrastructure and services that benefit us all -

I was typing this exact same thing then saw your reply. -
Werent they all nursing injuries tho? I think that's one of the points the show was trying to make. Jefferson missed significant time with a pulled hamstring and then came back and immediately got hit in the back and was coughing up blood. Adams separated his AC joint to the point you could see it sticking up through his hoodie. Even Kittle had to leave the Super Bowl and a most critical time because he couldnt lift his arm. Deebo had a fracture in his scapula, which can not feel good. And it's not like he didnt take a hard shot from a helmet right into his arm back that broke it. I know he left a couple games, but he didnt miss much time. These guys take major hits.

Yeah, Kittle is funny. There was a hit he took in the Vikings game and his reaction had my actually laughing out loud. (I wont spoil it if folks arent to that episode yet)

The sequel to last year's Quarterback, this year they are following Receivers. Davante Adams, Justin Jefferson, George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, and Amon Ra St Brown. I binged the whole series the last couple of days, and was again impressed with both the production and the players. I like how they keep a LOT more of the on-field dialogue, more so than what I've seen out of other productions that censor or cut out conversation. I always had a suspicion there was a lot more talking going on during plays than what we see in Mic'ed Up, and this certainly proved it. All big family guys, both with their parents, and being parents. As a fellow girl-dad it was funny to see Davante Adams say some of the exact same things that I do. But a real good focus on the football aspect, not much drama or any of that. Anyone else watching? (I searched but didnt find a thread on this, and figured its a different discussion than playing GM in the Hard Knocks thread)

Brandon Aiyuk officially requests a trade

lol I binged that whole show the last couple of days. Great group of guys and great families. I need to search for a thread... But yeah, would seem like a no-brainer and would keep Adams out of the division, so that would be a great trade. -

Even without an official stop watch, there is such a noticeable difference. Both from the same exact spot on the field. -

With all props to Hyde, it's also because noodle-arm McCorkle threw a lame duck that took forever to get there. Funniest thing is, Josh made almost the exact same throw to Sanders for a 34 yd TD, except his had no chance of getting picked because it was a absolute missile. I love watching those two plays next to each other. Such a difference in QB. -
I didnt know it was ever on NFLN. It's on HBO, and now Hulu.

It was basically a 2 year contract, and they wanted to see what Dabol could do with him. He is gone after this season, and they'll save $20M in cap by cutting him. I was more surprised the Giants didnt trade back or out of the 1st this year to gain another 1st next year for maneuvering in the 2025 draft. They wouldnt be in any better place right now had they let him walk and were starting Tyrod.

Orlovsky with some good stuff here.

We could absolutely put together a decent FO from some posters here. Not trying to be arrogant or naive. But guys like Beane and Schoen were just regular dudes who worked their way up in a company.

The "rankings" and that article is just offseason fodder. ESPN has milked Fowlers article for 2 days of morning talk, and will likely talk about it tomorrow too. It's all just subjective BS. From what I've seen, Josh ended up #3 on the list in the article, but was #2 on a lot of the talking heads' lists. Either way, I'm just thrilled that the Bills have a QB in that top 3-5 discussion. With regards to the quality of our opinions vs the professionals, I was very interested in watching the Giants Offseason Hard Knocks to see the real discussions that go on while building a team. Turns out, they are VERY similar to discussions here and that I have with my buddies. The only difference is they have more access to the players. Not sure if that makes me feel better, or worse (that I'm not making $1M/year for my TBD posting).

Is it? As far as Ive seen there is no standard criteria or definition of who gets in or why. As a matter of fact, I've heard more HoF voters use the line "If you were telling the story of the NFL, would you include this player when talking about their era?" And to that end, I am happy to resurrect...

Tom Brady Julian Edelman Bryan Cox That's as far as I got so far... Brady is the only player I have a true personal, irrational hatred for. Everyone else is just playing ball and it's all part of the game. Even Edelman (although he's close). But Brady, I dont like him professionally or personally. Unlike Dan Marino, who I always "hated" on the field, but have met and is a really nice guy and I have no ill will towards. I guess I'll put Brady twice since he has 2 very different faces by the time he left the Pats. Young Brady Nip/Tuck Brady Julian Edelman Bryan Cox

New Pardon My Take with Josh Allen and Blake Griffin
DrDawkinstein replied to Toomstone.Part.Duex's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean, why wouldnt he? He's sitting on about $115M he has already made (just in the NFL, not counting sponsorships). He has another ~$115M in guarantees coming. I'd take $230M and saving my 28 year old body, AND helping bring a championship to Buffalo, even if I'm on the sidelines. Only problem would be tough to see the games over my piles of cash blocking my view. -
Close your eyes McDermott haters…he’s a top 10 HC

That's fine. I'm not beating any drum to get McD fired. Not even close to renting a billboard yet. We're discussing whether he is a good vs great coach (not a bad problem to have), and his consistency. IMO, this team has come into far, far too many games flat, listless, and seemingly unprepared. We have let far too many inferior teams hang around until we either barely squeak out a win or they end up beating us. I've seen him directly and single-handedly botch too many in-game situations. I guess he's consistent that way 🤷♂️ And sure, his demeanor is consistent. Whatever that is worth. All good. Onto another season with McD at the helm. I hope he makes great strides in the HC role now that he will actually be doing the HC's job. We'll see! You're always well informed and researched. I'd love to know your favorite McD consistency streaks. Like where are those multi-game streaks where the team showed up ready out of the gate, had a great gameplan, executed it properly, and he got all (most of) his in-game calls correct. -

I figured you'd go to that line of rhetoric. But it was clearly one specific positional unit that subpar and not performing. Us Bills fans should be very familiar and well versed in that. Coaching can only go so far, and the rest of the team was well coached. Kadarius Toney being a dumbass is consistent no matter who he is playing for. As for 2020... we sure do miss Dabol dont we? Crazy that if McD is so consistent, we havent seen anything close to that type of performance since he blew 13 seconds regardless of Dabol, Josh, and Gabe bailing him out 3 times. -

You could ask the same thing, but it isnt the same thing. Reid and Mahomes were their consistent selves. It was the dropped passes, and WRs lining up Offside on game winning TDs that mostly lost them games. And Spags had the D always ready. Plus, you're talking about 1 specific season. I'm looking at all of McDs career.
