  1. This makes sense, and I've been a "No RBs in the 1st Round" guy for a while myself. HOWEVER... I think this year is a bit different. 1. We are no longer drafting in the Top 12. We're drafting at #30 overall, practically a 2nd round pick. 2. The draft is weak in the trenches, and where we need help. Taking a DE will likely be a reach, and get us a player on par with Epenesa at best, or more likely Erik Flowers. 3. We are IN THE HUNT for a Super Bowl RIGHT NOW. And that window may only have a few years left. I dont care what happens to this RB after his rookie deal. So with all that said, I am fine if Beane decides to snag someone he feels is a playmaker and can make a difference on this team right away. I dont think we get that with any of these mediocre DEs.
  2. Yeah, I wasnt sure how the selected vs alternate worked either. @Rock-A-Bye Beasley, I'd be interested if you had a link or something explaining that. I appreciate the info, but this stuff gets so ridiculously complicated, I'd like to see it explained. Thanks!
  3. When she was calling Cleveland fans heroes I was like "WTF? What about us?!?" and then she did us and I was like "Yeah, ok, that's actually right"
  4. Wish List (would be happy to get drafted here): Buffalo Baltimore Green Bay Miami Atlanta Tampa Bay Arizona San Fran Seattle Dis List (I'm threatening to go play baseball instead): New England NY Jets Dallas Washington Cincy Cleveland Detroit Chicago Texans Jax Tenn Las Vegas Los Angeles (Rams or Chargers) Anyone not listed (like Philly, Pitt, Denver) is just meh. Happy for the chance to play in the NFL, but not excited about the specific team.
  5. That is surprisingly well done and did not make me click out from embarrassment before she finished. 🤣
  6. I'm 100% with you, and it makes discussing him so difficult. 🤣 This... is actually a really good point.
  7. When you draft a kid who is barely 19, you gotta be ready to ride it out. It isnt my money, and I'd hate to move on too early. LBs do tend to get better and better over time as their pre-snap reads evolve.
  8. I would love it as well. Between an off year for DE talent and the idea of picking a RB... I'd love to land Newsome.
  9. That's what I thought (and was afraid of). So Edmunds will cost us $14.791M in 2022 if we trigger his 5th year option. Cap should be back up next year so I'm not too worried about that, but that number does make it a more interesting decision for Beane.
  10. How many Pro Bowls has Edmunds made? I know at least 1.
  11. While I wouldnt be surprised if they picked this up, they only have ~2 more weeks to decide. I believe May 3 is the cut off date.
  12. Cant disagree with much of that. Time for the youngsters to step up on D.
  13. Greg Newsome, the #2 player on the list
  14. With Ossai in the 1st, I went with Shelvin in the 2nd. I was already leaning toward Shelvin without knowing who we got at #30, and like the doubling-down on improving the DL. Jabril Cox is definitely another interesting choice there. But without a ton of research, I default to building from the trenches-back. I think we're reaching a bit on both picks, but wouldnt hate it if Beane went this way (especially since it would have the Beane Seal of Approval).
  15. Helluva comeback. Glad that he gets to leave on his terms.
  16. I feel like Zach Wilson was every bit of this "Young Teen in 2016" starter pack...
  17. Bold is so effin true. I just can't see him coming in and leading an NFL locker room.
  18. I thought they just go with the previous season's MVP? No?
  19. Consensus of whom? The same people that had Allen rated as the 4th QB in 2018? I think the most likely "shock" of the draft will be the Jets taking Lance #2. Based solely on the notion that crazy things happen every draft, and the Jets have been influenced by watching Josh Allen develop into a better QB than their recent "cant miss" blue chip prospect. I think Wilson is Gabbert/Bortles/Trubisky fools gold. JMO.
  20. Watching the price today... Guess at least we can say it's a good day to buy in? 😳
  21. It's a pain in the butt, but the best method is going directly through each individual pharmacy/grocery store's website, and refreshing and re-trying over and over. Tedious but effective. I have friends in Florida that we are trying to go visit, but only after they get vaccinated. They said they signed up through the state and have been on "the waiting list" for weeks. I went onto Publix's website this weekend and got them appointments for 2 days from now. Took me about 30 minutes of fiddling around. Good luck!
  22. At $300-400 for the devices, most folks have been able to recoup their cost pretty quickly (like days or weeks, not months or years). I'm fine with the $400 risk. It's the lowest entry amount into any investment I've risked so far. 🤣 Even if it becomes some relic in my attic
  23. Then the music is working since this is pretty much EXACTLY what he was doing at the time. Addicted to heroin and trying to die.
  24. If you were extra cool, you kept your empties and made sweet lamps out of them.
  25. There will be other opportunities. DOGE's entire purpose is a short-term pump and dump. There is no other utility for it. On the opposite side tho... Anyone into Helium Networks and their HNT? They have a pretty good idea behind their crypto. They are building out there IoT Wifi network by having people (us) host their hotspots. Buy one and plug it into power and your home internet connection, and the device mines their coin based on how much data your hotspot passes. They have contracts with things like trackable dog collars and scooter-share companies to use their network. It uses negligible power and bandwidth, and for folks in populated areas can be a real "magic money box". Especially if there are other Helium hotspots in your area that can talk to each other. They also earn coins (rewards) by talking to other hotspots. I have friends whose hotspots are generating 5-10 coins a day. And their price has steadily climbed from $4 to now at $15. That's $75-$150 a day doing for nothing. My hotspot is on order and supposed to arrive in May. I kinda wish I bought 3 or 4 of them at once now. More info here: https://www.helium.com/
