  1. Gold Jacket pic for HoFer Lombardi Trophy for All Pro Bills helmet for Veteran ... Peter Pan guy for Probation
  2. Hahaha, that's all I remember him for as well. And that was to tie/break the record for TDs to individual players!
  3. Not sure how they can do that, logistically. If they sell 20,000 parking passes and only have 10,000 spaces what do they do with the parking pass holders after the lot fills up? Turn them away when theyve already paid for parking?
  4. Well then send $3B up this way! I'm gonna go deep on a tangent if we keep going, but we'd be back to talking about an enclosed stadium that can be used as a convention center as well. Bring in a Bowl game, as well as the MAC championship. I'm sure there are plenty of other opportunities since I already came up with these off the top of my head, and I'm no expert. Plus just increasing Buffalo's tourist draw in general. Yeah, I'm just spitballing as well. I'm sure folks already thought of all this in the extensive studies that have already been performed by the professionals.
  5. Cobblestone district does fine business already, year-round. If you build a new bar strip area downtown, it will get used more than on just gameday.
  6. The stadium alone and itself wouldnt. But, if they tied in bars, restaurants, other commerical facilities around there. Maybe another hotel. And built the long needed rail from the airport to downtown with a stop at the stadium... now we're on the right track. Absolutely agreed the city and state should pay for more on a downtown stadium, and would need to. Expand 190, add ramps, update surface roads nearby. But like I said, even if it's $3B, they could make it happen if they wanted to. It's the only team that would play in NYS. NYC makes/loses $3B everyday by 10am. The city is good for it. Make them pay for something for us for once.
  7. No, youre right, I'm a bit off on a tangent.
  8. I'm hoping for the opposite and that they go for the Atlanta/Mecedes Benz Stadium method. Cheap concessions means more folks willing to buy in the stadium means more revenue.
  9. Not bringing Hollister back is shocking. He looked good in preseason.
  10. What is the ratio of Stanley Nickels to Schrute Bucks? The same as the ratio of unicorns to leprechauns.
  11. Sorry, getting a little off track. That comment chain was focusing more on the assertion that "the stadium is empty in December" than scoping the capacity for the new stadium. Agreed it would be bad planning to only look at the high numbers. Like I said on the previous page, I do think 60,000 + suites is right on target. I'd personally like to see it at a larger capacity, but I get why it is what it is.
  12. Yep, need to look at non-Drought numbers. The whole "stadium is empty in December" was true, back when we stunk and were eliminated in November. I'd bet good money the stadium will be packed (68,000+) for all the December games this year.
  13. I get what you're saying from a pure business perspective, but I think one thing was made clear last year: the energy of the large crowds of rabid fans greatly improves the quality of the product for the tv audience. That goes for all sports. And for a region like WNY that doesnt have a lot of other entertainment options, it should be something the entire community can attend and come together as one big group. IMO, at least.
  14. For what it's worth, 60,000 doesnt seem that too far off the mark when you look at the actual numbers. If you add in the suites, we're pretty much right on average. Now, the obvious counterpoint being that most of these numbers come from the Drought Years when we would be eliminated by November and attendance would drop off. I personally think 65,000 plus suites is the sweet spot. Would be interested in seeing the attendance numbers at the end of this year. I bet it will be closer to 70,000 average.
  15. We call that "flying under the radar"
  16. The biggest safety concern with the upper deck is knuckleheads falling over the railings onto people below.
  17. They really got one over on us, stealing away our top CB. Dang. Tragic.
  18. I would also recommend the TBD tailgate. Although I'm not sure I'd bring my 20-something daughters around most of this board.
  19. I'm just thrilled to have the Bills finally in a place where we are arguing whether to keep a ST Gunner vs 5th RB vs 7th WR, instead of trying to figure out a solution at QB, LT, DE, or any other starting position. Work your magic, Beane. GO BILLS!
  20. No need to. Train in suburbs, play downtown. Most teams do that.
  21. It's a very disappointing, short-sighted, small town, bush league plan. Agreed. As the only team that actually plays in NYS, and the fact that there is no way the politicians will let the Bills leave, the Pegulas should press the state much harder to pony up what is needed to get an awesome new stadium downtown, a bunch of new surrounding bars/restaurants/commercial space, and the added infrastructure to support it (expand 190, add ramps, add rail from airport to downtown). I dont care if they say it will cost $3B. NYC is good for it. Make it happen.
  22. Then I'd recommend something downtown so they can see the city and some nightlife too. And get some great wings at Gabe's Gate. You have the Hampton Inn, and Embassy Suites on Delaware. Or the Best Western-On the Avenue as a more cost effective spot, and that is right in the heart of Allentown, a two block walk to Gabe's Gate, Allentown Burger Venture, etc. JMO
  23. Not in any of the roach motels near the stadium (and Im not even sure roaches will live there anymore).
