1:00 left, 4th and 1... Do you punt the ball and trust your Defense against Mahomes? Or do you poll your star QB and listen to his feedback (which will obviously be "go for it")? Going for it is Playing to Win. Punting is Playing not to lose. We FINALLY called a Josh sneak on 4th and 1 yesterday. But it kills me that it isnt an automatic, easy call every time it's 3rd/4th and 1. I'd like to think that McD would have some killer instinct in this situation, but a bigger part of me is pretty certain he would punt and lean on our Defense.

On the bold. It is absolutely both Addison and Hughes's last year. Both contracts will be up and I dont see us renewing either. I'm confident Basham will develop. And if all he even becomes is a role player, it will be huge. To have Rousseau, Epenesa, and Basham all contributing is a big win for Beane.

Count me in the group that was thoroughly entertained by Millen and his unpolished style. Maybe it was the blowout of Miami that helped lighten the mood, but he had me cracking up a couple of times. And we were even commenting on it in the group chats. I wouldnt mind more of him this season. And very straight forward. After Waddle muffed the punt his quote was "Terrible. That is just terrible football. That's all I have to say about it. If you're not ready to catch the ball, then get off the field." Love it.

Hard Knocks in season Indy Colts starting 11/17
DrDawkinstein replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Folks jump to say this about Hard Knocks, but it never has been, and I dont remember anyone ever complaining about it. These guys already have a ton of media and stuff in their lives. It becomes part of the job. And most of the time, the Hard Knocks cameras are just stand-alone surveillance cameras setup in the room. I think the idea of it being a distraction only comes from us commoners who dont already have the news/media hovering over us 24/7 like the players do. -
If anyone is interested in mining new coins, there's a really cool opportunity coming up with PLANET and ALGO. Using these really cool air quality sensors: https://store.getawair.com/products/awair-element The sensors are neat just from a gadget standpoint. The fact that they'll soon be mining ~25 PLANETs a day (currently trading at $.40) is even better.

This is it exactly. Public funding for the stadium equals the locals pitching in to have an NFL team in a city that would otherwise never be able to justify it. Spread that cost out over the entire state (read: Albany, NYC, etc), and that cost becomes much more reasonable and worth it for all us Bills fans. I dont think the team will move anytime soon, but if we don't play along and compromise, then we absolutely set ourselves up for losing the team at some point in the future.

Highmark Stadium now requiring vaccination for entry
DrDawkinstein replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall
Doubtful. NYS has one of the highest vaccination rates in the country. 62% fully vaxxed, and ~70% with at least 1 dose. And that is with a large population too. Erie County itself is at 59% fully vaccinated, and 64% with 1 dose. Literally 2 out of every 3 people. A lot less likely that folks will be traveling from places like Georgia (43%), NC (48%), Florida (55%), or even Pennsylvania (56%) to a place that requires vaccinations. -

Serious question: Is joint agreement the same as joint decision? -

Erie County since it is their building, as far as I know. Which brings up an interesting side point: how much of this will resonate with the Pegulas when thinking about having the new stadium publicly funded versus owning it themselves and setting their own rules? -

Christian Scientists, and mayyyybe Jehovah Witnesses. The only religions that I can think of that are actually against vaccines in general. -

Also, I assume the logistics of the local testing sites having to process ~60,000 tests every Thursday simply doesnt work out. -
