  1. But look at the LIFE this losing has brought back to the board! Frankly, TBD had been getting pretty boring and full of COVID threads because it was the only thing to talk about. Now we are back to having real football related discussions about which coach to fire, which players to cut, which players to sign/draft, what this team needs to win, offensive schemes and gameplans. Losing is good for the board, lol
  2. I fully expect an "Open Letter to the Pegulas/McBeane" thread any minute now.
  3. I'd be fine with a running play. My biggest beef is on 2nd and 10+ we end up taking a low percentage deep shot to Sanders... which then puts us in 3rd and Long instead of 3rd and Manageable. We infamously did it on 2nd and 17 in the Tenn game. Then we did it TWICE last week. Just take 3-5 yards on 2nd down and get us to 3rd and manageable.
  4. I'd rather have the better holder than the better punter. Bass FGs are crucial, and god forbid our Super Bowl comes down to a last second FG again. I'd rather make the FGs, and put more pressure on our D if/when he shanks a punt.
  5. Read the thread. There is a HUGE difference in protocol for vaccinated positive tests vs unvaccinated. There was never any leak. It became apparent to everyone the moment he was ruled out for Sunday's game as that is the unvaccinated protocol. There was no leak or tattle. He's just mad he's being held accountable for his own actions.
  6. He's NEVER finished below .500, they went 12-4 last year, and are 4-3 right now with a broken down QB. What's the problem "as of late"? You think the Steelers, of all teams, would make a switch now? Insane.
  7. Congrats to Groot, but also congrats to Beane. Great "left-field" pick (although it wasnt that far out of left field). We've now played 2 games against the Dolphins, and Groot has made impact plays in both while his former team mate who was drafted much higher, Jalen Phillips, hasnt done squat that I've noticed. Brother, for those of us who have been on this board for 15+ years, there is a significant lack of whining about everything lately. And it is glorious! Go Bills!
  8. Not many teams in general have that! This team is special. I hope they capitalize on it.
  9. After some more digging, I think you are correct.
  10. Right on. My dad and grandfather had a lot of memories from the Rock Pile. They moved on pretty easily. It'll all be fine. Gotta keep moving forward. Go Bills!
  11. I cant see him going to a franchise that is so poorly managed.
  12. First off, thanks for the thought out response. Don't get me wrong. I tailgate. Have been since I started going to games with my dad in 1987 (had to tailgate that strike year because, again, it was the only thing that made going worth it, haha). And just had a pretty decent party when I was up for the Washington game in September. I fully understand and appreciate the tradition and what it provides to the gameday experience. And you will absolutely be able to do that at a new downtown stadium. Especially the RVs. That is good money for the Bills, and they arent going to lose it. I havent been to a single downtown stadium that didn't still have some (plenty) of tailgating available. Even Nashville which I referenced for its proximity to bars, has a ton of parking for tailgating. Jacksonville is downtown and on the water, and still has a ton of tailgating (Lot X 4EVA!). Pittsburgh, plenty of tailgating. There might be one or two out there, but few and far between. The Pegulas/Bills understand what a huge part of the brand's identity is centered around tailgating. They will do what they can to get rid of the table jumping and butt-chugging, but they will absolutely have parking lots to tailgate in. There is too much merch to sell, and money to make by charging to park in their special tailgate lots. The beauty of the downtown stadium is the potential to provide BOTH tailgating and an indoor/bar experience option. Not just one.
  13. If he went to the Caribbean, he is definitely vaxxed. But I dont know that he did.
  14. Absolutely, which is why I want their money for the WNY region. NYC is good for $2B by breakfast. Git r dun.
  15. You know you're paying for SoFi stadium and you dont even LIKE those teams, right? It's about time NYC and Albany chip in to help Buffalo have nice things.
  16. Maybe, but a lot of that has to do with never having a team or basing your entire identity on said team in the first place. Ripping the Bills out of Buffalo would leave a crater that could never be filled. Not saying it's healthy to be this way, but it's where we are at.
  17. I'd combine them, but have the Bulls play at the new downtown stadium. Doing so also brings the net cost of the new Bills stadium down, since the State is going to have to pay for a new UB stadium anyways. If they were going to spend $100M(?) on a new UB stadium, well that is $100M you could theoretically "credit" off the price of the new Bills stadium. Ehh, I dont fully disagree with the overall thought, but again, there is a price to be paid for having/keeping something that we otherwise wouldnt get. From an NFL perspective, the region can not support a team like most other markets. From a local fan perspective, wtf would we do if we let the team go? What would we even have left in Buffalo?
  18. I can confirm this. This is me. Give me a lite rail from the airport right to downtown, and I'm in heaven.
  19. How funny would it be if Love came in and lit it up, and made it obvious the Packers could move on from Rodgers immediately. LOL
  20. We (Buffalo) kinda do. It makes little sense that there is even an NFL team in Buffalo, given the size of the market. If the league were starting today we would most definitely not have a team. And wouldnt even be in the Plan B list. Partially paying for a new stadium is the price of having a team in a location that cant be justified in any other way. And keep in mind, this cost gets spread out over the whole state, Albany and NYC, not just WNY. Let NYC chip in to let us have our nice thing.
  21. Essential Oils that he is also selling. #BeYourOwnBoss #MLMHun
  22. No one knows 100%, but I would hope Beane made it a requirement before handing the dude a quarter of a Billion dollars.
  23. I really dont give a crap about tailgating. There will still be tailgating options, and I'd bet you would see a number of private lots open up as well. But I'm here for football. I go to the games to watch the Bills. We have a raucous time inside while the game is going on. The tailgate stuff only blew up when the team was horrible during the drought to make the gamedays at least somewhat fun. We dont suck anymore. If I wanted to re-live my college days, I'd go back on alumni weekend. edit to add: We've had GREAT times in Nashville, pre-game, in their bar district. It would be similar. Way less hassle of setting up and breaking down and cleaning up. Show up, party, and let someone else deal with the bs while you get to walk into the game.
  24. Pro: More personal space while in line at the grocery store. Con: Having to scan a QR code to pull up a menu at a restaurant, with no wifi, and their walls blocking my cell signal.
