Bills bars in San Diago?

The Bills provide a list and an interactive map to help find this as well... https://www.buffalobills.com/fans/bills-backers/ -
Annual Way Too Early Mock Draft '22 edition
DrDawkinstein replied to thunderingsquid's topic in College Football
Agreed. I think most of it has to do with that inexperienced QB. He left a lot of easy yards on the field when he refused to scramble, or just tuck it and run. (And UGA being pretty good of course) -
It's one of the symptoms of success. There really isnt much to complain about nowadays, or even debate over. Heck, our own threads here have died down, and have wilted into arguments over whether our weakest position is CB depth or TE depth. Not even a starting position! Makes for fun times, but boring radio.

Annual Way Too Early Mock Draft '22 edition

Jordan Davis really showed out Saturday night. Looking like a lock at a 1st round pick. Probably well before we go at #32. -
Was so disappointed when I turned Sal and Joe's new show on today, and in their introduction they explained "We really want this show to focus on fan input from the phones and social media". That's the last thing we need. I get it is tough to come up with 2 hours of content every single weekday. But damn, please don't focus the show on the infamous "WGR callers".

While I believe the main point of this thread was specific to Bills In-Game Song Traditions, since it has taken a turn to the more general "stadium music", I'll share the playlist we put together for the Bills Backers Atlanta club that goes to Whitehall Tavern. Not put together in any order, and usually functions better on Shuffle. List of "generically" popular stadium anthem bangers...

It's even better to listen to them Monday morning after the Bills beat them. Growing up in the 80s/90s, my dad and I had a tradition of going to Wegman's the day after the Bills beat the Dolphins and buying all the local Miami papers. Just to read the local guys trashing the other team and enjoying the misery. 🤣

I like it. They were in dire need of more/better Bills coverage, and no one wants to hear about the Sabres nowadays. Give a couple hours to Sal and Joe. They deserve it more than hockey or OBL.

Hahaha, that's all I remember him for as well. And that was to tie/break the record for TDs to individual players! -
Well then send $3B up this way! I'm gonna go deep on a tangent if we keep going, but we'd be back to talking about an enclosed stadium that can be used as a convention center as well. Bring in a Bowl game, as well as the MAC championship. I'm sure there are plenty of other opportunities since I already came up with these off the top of my head, and I'm no expert. Plus just increasing Buffalo's tourist draw in general. Yeah, I'm just spitballing as well. I'm sure folks already thought of all this in the extensive studies that have already been performed by the professionals.

The stadium alone and itself wouldnt. But, if they tied in bars, restaurants, other commerical facilities around there. Maybe another hotel. And built the long needed rail from the airport to downtown with a stop at the stadium... now we're on the right track. Absolutely agreed the city and state should pay for more on a downtown stadium, and would need to. Expand 190, add ramps, update surface roads nearby. But like I said, even if it's $3B, they could make it happen if they wanted to. It's the only team that would play in NYS. NYC makes/loses $3B everyday by 10am. The city is good for it. Make them pay for something for us for once.

Not bringing Hollister back is shocking. He looked good in preseason. -
Interesting... NFL QB's NBA equivalent

What is the ratio of Stanley Nickels to Schrute Bucks? The same as the ratio of unicorns to leprechauns. -
Sorry, getting a little off track. That comment chain was focusing more on the assertion that "the stadium is empty in December" than scoping the capacity for the new stadium. Agreed it would be bad planning to only look at the high numbers. Like I said on the previous page, I do think 60,000 + suites is right on target. I'd personally like to see it at a larger capacity, but I get why it is what it is.
-
I get what you're saying from a pure business perspective, but I think one thing was made clear last year: the energy of the large crowds of rabid fans greatly improves the quality of the product for the tv audience. That goes for all sports. And for a region like WNY that doesnt have a lot of other entertainment options, it should be something the entire community can attend and come together as one big group. IMO, at least.
-
For what it's worth, 60,000 doesnt seem that too far off the mark when you look at the actual numbers. If you add in the suites, we're pretty much right on average. Now, the obvious counterpoint being that most of these numbers come from the Drought Years when we would be eliminated by November and attendance would drop off. I personally think 65,000 plus suites is the sweet spot. Would be interested in seeing the attendance numbers at the end of this year. I bet it will be closer to 70,000 average.
