  1. Consistency. Just because the total points scored is high, it doesnt say anything about the pace or deviation of how those points were put up. This offense seems so feast or famine. We are either rolling, or putting on a clown show, no in between. A big part of that is playcalling and not allowing our O to play to its strengths or develop a rhythm.
  2. Bummer since we owned him, and I could see them pursuing Daboll (regardless of Harbaugh rumors). But HC turnover every 3 years is never good either, so I'm fine with the Miami tire fire still burning.
  3. Player performance does not happen in a vacuum. I fully believe both would have continued to perform at/near their 2019 level if they had been kept. Shaq's role was changed drastically, and JPhillips lack of production was due to injuries which were sustained after he left the Bills' award winning Strength & Conditioning team. They were the swagger of our DLine and I dont think we lose to Tenn last year had they been here. As for overpayment. They were paid $10M/yr compared to Vernon Butler's $7.5M, and Jefferson's $7M. Not that big of a difference, and those guys didnt/dont do much for us either. Beane can rework the cap numbers as needed. I'm not going to fret over a few million of Terry's money either way. You can have your opinion. All good. But that's the logic behind my statement, and I stand by it.
  4. I'm all for bringing him back. We shouldve kept him and JPhillips as it was. Now we get him back cheaper. Hughes and Addison are on their way out. Snag him as depth for the playoff run, and a young vet presence next year.
  5. You just described literally EVERY generation of 20-somethings. It isn't specific to your generation at all. Kids think they know more than they actually do. Old people think kids know less than they actually do. It's the way it always is. Has nothing to do with technology, or "this" generation, or anything else.
  6. "These long-haired hippy kids are all lazy bums!" -Great Generation on Boomers "These grunge slackers are all lazy bums!" -Boomers on GenX "These kids are all lazy, entitled bums!" -Gen x on Millennials "These kids are all lazy, entitled bums!" -Millennials on Gen Z Wheel in the sky keeps on turning...
  7. Not sure what that understanding would actually look like since he is technically under contract for 2 more seasons after this. And releasing him this offseason would hit GB with a $26M dead cap cost. Can both sides just agree to "void" a contract? Would the league go for that? (mostly rhetorical since Im not sure any of us would know) The 2023 year is basically voided. But there are still contract issues to work through for next year. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/green-bay-packers/aaron-rodgers-3745/
  8. First 3 are all under contract with either clauses, or some ability to control where they go. List looks a lot worse when it's just the true FAs. Draft doesnt look promising this year either.
  9. Very Jagsy. Marrone on that staff too as OL Coach
  10. LOL at every failed Browns QB jumping in to get get shots off at Cabot, as if their horrible performances that ended their careers are HER fault. Kinda funny, but mostly pathetic. Typical Browns.
  11. Or, he could just play better and not have to be in spats with the media all the time.
  12. If/when we win the Super Bowl, after crying tears of joy, the first words out of my mouth will still be "I cant believe we lost to the f#&%ing Jags"
  13. Butler gets $7M (way too much), and Zimmer makes $800k. I'd think we could sign Harry well under $3M. Maybe even $1M/yr. Would be totally worth it at those prices. 3yr/$6M, out after 2 years.
  14. Yeha, he might be the only one, and it is DL, but not that presence in the middle we were looking for at the time.
  15. Great point. Anyone crying about Oliver's draft position needs to go look at the rest of that 2019 draft and the 1st round selections that came after him. There was no better pick to make, even in hindsight. If it were me, I'm definitely picking up Oliver's 5th year option. And I'm looking to bring Harry back at a nice, team-friendly deal. I'm guessing we could get Harry re-signed for less than $5M/year (maybe even more like $1-2M). Considering we're paying Butler $7.5M, that's a good deal.
  16. The end of college football as we know it. The NCAA messed this up BIG TIME (not surprising). All they had to do was implement a stipend for scholarship athletes. Instead they took the "easy" way and opened up NIL, which just makes the entire college sports world a "highest bidder" platform. edit: To be clear, I'm fine with the portal, players/students should be able to transfer however they see fit. I'm fine with paying the players, there is so much money going around because of them anyways. What I hate is the decisions the NCAA made on how players can get paid.
  17. Dont forget to FOIL!
  18. The Washington Sean Taylors. Danny boy gonna milk it for all its worth!
  19. Browns have themselves in a VERY Brownsy position. I cant imagine having to commit $200-300M to... Baker Mayfield. 🤮 Thank the gods for Josh F'ing Allen.
  20. Just like I learned in 2nd grade math: Always check your work.
  21. Colts wont lose to the Jags. No self-respecting team loses to the Jags. 😑
