When do we start to re sign our free agents?
DrDawkinstein replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
Today! Apparently. -
It's funny to see Bitcoin come under such heavy environmental scrutiny. Any idea how much power is consumed every day by BoA keeping their branches open, lights on, with AC? Let alone their HQ buildings, their customer service Call Centers, and their IT Datacenters? And that's just one bank, in one country. Add in Wells Fargo, M&T, HSBC, BB&T, all the foreign banks, etc, etc, etc and there is way more energy being used and wasted by traditional financial institutions. Any idea how much gas is used every day driving those big Brinks trucks around? Any idea how much power is consumed by stock traders and the stock markets every day? EVERYTHING uses a ton of power. Attacking BTC over it often comes off as naive or agenda-driven, imo. And I'm not even a big fan or holder of BTC.

People are right, and smart, to be weary of Crypto. I go into every new Crypto opportunity assuming it's a scam. Yes, there are rug pulls. Yes, there is fraud. Yes, there is theft. But there is also a TON of that, and on a much larger scale, with regular ol cash too. Plenty of manipulation in our stock market. Plenty of fraud and scams with classic financial institutions. The main difference being there is some regulation and policy which protects the little guy. Where as in Crypto, your loss is your loss. All that said, there is still money to be made, and cool, legit projects to get involved with. And it's cool stuff from a tech and transition perspective as well. The projects I've mentioned (Helium, PlanetWatch, MapMetrics, etc) are taking a whole new approach to starting a business through the use of Crypto as "stock options". So a lot more to discuss than just "day trading", if anyone is actually up for it.

Not sure what is going on in @John Adams life that he felt the need to pop in and derail and trash a thread, and attack another poster over something the thread isnt really about. But hope all is well. Weird he originally picked on Turk and me, but didnt feel the need to engage me after I gave a real response. Likely because he doesnt understand it, I guess. Oh well. Hang in there @John Adams. It's a long offseason.

Why has Juwan Howard not been fired and charged with assault?
DrDawkinstein replied to reddogblitz's topic in Off the Wall
edit: Side rant on the NCAA: I get what you are saying, but you lost me at "NCAA". Which is its own garbage organization that can't manage it's way out of an entry level McDonald's position, and has effed up every major decision, plan, and investigation in its history. If I'm any top school in a P5 conference, I LAUGH and hang up the phone when the NCAA calls me and tries to tell me to do anything. The NCAA needs the schools far more than the schools need the NCAA at this point. F#$& the NCAA. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. -
WTF is going on in here? PPP too slow for you guys today?

Sounds about right. -

DrDawkinstein replied to reddogblitz's topic in Off the Wall
Fired? No. But probably should be suspended for a little bit. That's it. It was a weak open hand slap. Gard has a role in this for the way he approached him after the game. Plus, everyone knows Howard (and Michigan in general) will likely have a PTSD flashback with every late-game TO called. You take your own risks. 🤣 edit: Not going to even address the idea that he be charged with something. Come on. -
Anyone remember or a fan of Sledgehammer?

Ha, yeah. Hanging in there. Here's my ALGO story/approach: Holding and buying more here and there. Plus, my main source of ALGOs isnt buying. It's mining through a few different projects, and staking. Even with the price way down, I'm still in a good spot and not in the red (yet). Mining and Staking are KEY to doing well in crypto. If you arent generating "free" coins, it's tough to get ahead. For example, I got in early and big on that PlanetWatch project I posted about earlier. ROI'ed on the equipment in the first 3 weeks. And have been generating free coins for 3 months (about 15 ALGO/day). Got into the new OCTORAND gaming project early, and it's paid off big time in just a couple weeks (I sold out of that one already). I'm not day-trading this stuff. Everything I do is a long term (3-5 years or more) plan. ALGO is pretty new on that scale. And I know that the crypto market is extremely volatile. ALGO is pretty much back to where it was in the beginning of last year when I first got in, and then saw a couple jumps to the $2.50 range. I might cash out a bunch if/when it gets back to $3. And will still leave a big pile of ALGOs in my wallet for the loooong term, just in case.

Should the Bills extend Edmunds?
DrDawkinstein replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall
We wouldnt have done any better against the Colts with Tremaine in. So why pay Edmunds more than double just to do as bad a job? We already know Tremaine cant stop the run, and Klein is better at it. Look. If we can bring him back on a deal like Milano's at $10M/yr, then I'm not against re-signing Edmunds. But I think we both can agree that is very unlikely, and he'll be more in the $13-15M range. So I'm fine moving on and spending that money on improving the DL in front of our LBs. Roll for a year with a player the likes of Klein, and an improved DL, and we dont miss a beat. imo. Then look to draft a replacement early. Paying Edmunds top dollar when there are so many weaknesses in his game is a bad idea. He could easily be replaced with someone like Klein. Which was the point of this part of the discussion on this page. -
Should the Bills extend Edmunds?
DrDawkinstein replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall
He stepped in for Edmunds (true fact), and did just as well if not better than Tremaine usually does (subjective, but stats and film back it up). Pretty good argument. -

Klein started in Edmunds spot for 2 games (Jets and Colts) while Edmunds was injured this year. -
Should the Bills extend Edmunds?
DrDawkinstein replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall
Klein stepped in and not only did alright, but immediately made some impact plays (tipped passes, stuffed runners, even an INT vs Carolina). And he is only getting $6M/yr which is less than HALF of what we'll be paying Edmunds going forward. I dont think Klein would be the long term solution, but if it came right down to it, I'd rather have Klein and the extra $7-8M in cap space than Edmunds. Based on his level of play, Edmunds isnt that difficult to replace. -
Is McDermott going to scare players away?

So exactly what I said in my original post. Welcome aboard.

I dont know. Maybe. But Leo has quality to go along with his quantity. Wilt was just banging whatever normal ladies were around in whatever town he was playing in. Between the "Pu**y Posse" of the late-90s, his boats and boats and boats and boats and boats full of models, and the infamous girlfriend chart, Leo would give any other womanizer a run for their money.

I mean, I live in Atlanta and I, along with most of our 1500 members of Bills Backers Atlanta, would be there too! I'd expect a lot of Bills fans who are scattered across the country to be in town for it. Cant wait!
