  1. Keep it local. Works for me.
  2. Y'all talk like all of Buffalo is an impoverished 3rd world slum. There are enough people in WNY with enough money to afford the PSLs at the estimated prices leaked. And interest in the team is currently the highest it has been in 20, maybe 30 years. You can blame Jones as the boogeyman if you want, but I dont think the Frackers are some benevolent entity only doing this for the community. Pegulas like making money in any way possible.
  3. I could be wrong as well, but the way I heard is that they were resellable/transferable. So maybe you'd sell them on the Bills' own secondary market site like they make you do with tickets nowadays, but you could still charge over original price.
  4. So for the first part, I believe someone already explained how the Giants re-priced. They did it after the nominal deposit was due, but before anyone had actually paid, based on how few put down deposits. So there will be a window to re-price if necessary. As far as Bills lowering PSL pricing years down the line, I dont think that has ever happened, nor would it ever. For the exact reasons you stated. For your second paragraph, the beauty there is, if you have seats someone wants, you can sell them the PSL for whatever you want. You paid $3000 for the PSL, but now 5 years later the Bills won a couple SBs and you have good seats in high demand? You get to privately sell it for... name your price... $6000? Profit!
  5. I dont think anyone is saying there is an absolute rule, or he is never good at home. Just seems to do better on the road, in general. OP isnt the first to notice this, and this isnt the first time it's been discussed. Plus, it's the offseason.
  6. Sugar-rush Josh at home. Killer Josh on the road. Need Killer Josh 100% of the time. I think/hope the KC game was an eye-opener for him. He can be GREAT when he plays angry and focused.
  7. He was bad on TV. He got fired. Now he's trying to save face by spinning a story about maybe un-retiring. But it aint happening. Also, and probably the biggest factor: QB salaries are now in the $40-50M/yr range. That is TWICE what Brees was making just a couple years ago. Pretty sure that if the opportunity to make $45M was there, Dan, Jim, and everyone else would've been holding on as long as they could. That all said. Brees isnt coming back. He's just embarrassed about getting canned.
  8. Good talk, folks. Let me clarify. My point here was not to say this behavior is genetic. Neither because of race, nor something specific to the "Elam" family. Rather, I think it's pretty clear it's based on economics, opportunity, and environment. Which would apply to all of us in the same way if put into certain situations. You have a family where 3 out of 5 siblings are killed in street violence. But 2 are able to get out and get high-paying jobs, and it seems to break the cycle right away. I wont say too much more so this doesnt get relegated to the PPP dungeon, but I absolutely believe Kaiir has a great head on his shoulders, has learned from the mistakes of his predecessors, and is setup to succeed as a grown man in his profession.
  9. Yes, we've determined this was a garbage "leak"
  10. Wikipedia says Matt is still playing... in the CFL ever since Ravens let him go.
  11. ha, all good, we're all just sifting through the garbage. And I certainly didnt look at any of the previous pages before posting it either.
  12. Early September (no snow), at night (no sun)... there really isnt a bad seat in the house. Personally, I don't go too high up in the upper deck, but that's cause my vision sucks from that far. I prefer the corners of the lower bowl, about 20-30 rows up. Club seats if you're fancy. Or the first group of rows in the upper deck.
  13. First tip off is Pittsburgh isnt even spelled correctly. LOL
  14. For what it's worth, Dad seemed to turn it around after being kicked out of Notre Dame. "He attended Palm Beach Community College and worked at a dentist's office. He enrolled at Kent State University in 2004, but because he initially did not receive a scholarship, the Riviera Beach residents raised US$20,000 to pay for his tuition." Gotta make a good impression if an entire community rallies around you to send you to college. And this was before GoFundMe!
  15. Anyone else see this floating around?
  16. I hear Beane say that it's good Kaiir has the help of his dad and uncle who have been through the transition to the pros before to help guide and support him along the way. On the other hand, the Elam family seems to have a long history of trouble and I am hoping Kaiir can break that cycle. For what it's worth, the kid seems to have a good head on his shoulders, and I hope that Abram (dad) and Matt's (uncle) successes help everyone move onward and upward. Sounds like they had a rough upbringing, and football has helped lift the family out of the cycle. I hope.... Dad: Elam accepted a football scholarship from the University of Notre Dame. As a sophomore in 2002, a felony sexual battery conviction got him expelled from the school. Uncle: On February 26, 2017, Elam was arrested in Miami, Florida for possession of a 126.2 grams of marijuana and 3.1 grams of oxycodone. He was charged with one count of cannabis possession, one count of possession of cannabis with intent to sell or deliver, and one count of possession of a controlled substance. On June 26, 2017, the drug charges were dropped. On May 22, 2017, Elam was arrested on battery and theft charges involving a dispute with his girlfriend over an iPhone. Delray Beach Police charged him with suspicion of grand theft and misdemeanor battery after confrontation and was booked in Palm Beach County Jail and had a bond set at $4,500. According to a police report, he went to his girlfriend's residence to pick up a vehicle and attempted to grab her iPhone from her hand after she refused to give him his money. During the process of grabbing the phone, the couple fell to the ground and continued to struggle over it. She then entered his vehicle and took his cell phone and Elam responded by leaving after she refused to return it. On June 21, 2017, the charges were dropped after the prosecutor said the accuser would not cooperate and they had insufficient evidence to proceed with the case. Family: Since 1987, three of Elam's siblings were shot to death. His older brother, Donald Runner, was fatally shot in 1987. His sister Christina, was killed in 1999. On May 9, 2008, his older brother Donald Elam was fatally shot; at age 14, Donald was once the youngest person ever indicted for murder in Palm Beach County, though he was later acquitted. I'm not making any judgements on Kaiir or even the Elam family. I simply wasnt aware of all this stuff surrounding the Elams until I looked them up recently. It is definitely rough in the streets of south Florida. I hope they are out of that mess for good and Kaiir's generation in the family gets a fresh start.
  17. The good news is, the door will be open to return in a few years when Giants clean house again.
  18. Did they mention anything about payment options: I've heard (read): Pay for it upfront. 3 interest free payments leading up to the opening of the stadium. 10 month payment plan at 8% interest. Which makes them even more doable. We're 5(?) years out from needing to pay this one-time fee. Start saving now, folks. Better than putting your money in the market right now anyways.
  19. They definitely don't since I believe the article is at least a year old and they were using current pricing. But a lot of teams already have PSLs and they don't get factored into that list, so ours wouldn't either. Depends on how you look at the PSL since it is a 1-time fee. How long are you going to hold your tickets to spread that cost over? 5 years? 10 years? Plus, the PSL can be resold/transferred if you decide to give up your tickets. Either way, original point still stands: Bills already have the cheapest tickets in the league (and have for decades). When you look at prices for other teams, and the new pricing, we're still low. Maybe we move up to...?... 26 instead of 32? If Buffalo can't afford tickets in the bottom quarter of the league, then that is a Buffalo problem. I understand a lot of folks will be priced out, but there should be enough to take their places. Don't get me wrong, PSLs suck, I hate it, but it is the reality of the situation.
  20. Sure, here's one https://fanbuzz.com/nfl/nfl-game-costs/
  21. The the team should probably move since those are still cheap (maybe still the cheapest) in the NFL.
  22. None taken. Nothing we say here has any relevance to anything in real life!
  23. I've mentioned this in other threads, but will keep repeating just to provide perspective: He was ranked and drafted later than Chris Kelsay. So set expectations accordingly.
