  1. Chiefs, Pats, Browns, Steelers, Packers, pretty much all the cold weather teams, have natural grass.
  2. No hotels, no Ubers, no bars, no restaurants. Just a giant PITA to get to/from unless you want to be camped out all day, or drive drunk. But we're getting natural grass, so we at least have that going for us. Makes no sense to put anything else there since it they'll only get 10-12 days of business. Which is why it doesnt make sense to put the stadium there either. But oh well. Buffalo gonna Buffalo. The grass is the part that makes the most sense!
  3. His coaches ask him to be slow to react and then overreact? His coaches ask him to get caught in the wash and not fight through (or avoid) blocks? His coaches ask him to take horrible angles and overpersue? His coaches ask him to bounce off of RBs without even slowing them down? His coaches ask him to not make any plays in the passing game, but just be out there? His coaches ask him to get burned by the guys he does have to cover in man? Cmon. And the whole "He's part of a top-3 Defense" is the same but opposite argument folks used to make here to not re-sign our best players "Well, it's not like we've won a Super Bowl with Lynch/Greer/Peters/Clements/etc". Not a good reason when it's a team sport. I think we could do better at his position for less money than he'll command. If he'll take Milano Money ($10-11M/year) then sure, bring him back for a few years I guess. But when his 5th year option is already $12.5M, I doubt he's taking anything less long term.
  4. Klein for this year. He did fine when he stepped in for Edmunds for a couple games last year, and even immediately made some plays in his limited time, which Edmunds rarely does. Plus, Klein is set to make half of what we'll have to pay Edmunds. Then draft a replacement.
  5. This dude is a JOKE
  6. Glad to see this was the first post. Exactly where I am at as well. I wont (cant) watch the Four Falls of Buffalo documentary until after a SB win either.
  7. I will take full responsibility for summoning @Chef Jim to the main board. Mods, I'll keep an eye out for my ban notice.
  8. $10M after taxes. How you got it is irrelevant for this hypothetical. The question is what could someone expect to make off it a year without draining the principal? Is a 4% draw reasonable?
  9. I'll put you back in your muddy swamp after you tell us what someone should expect to make on $10M
  10. I went fishing and look what I hooked!
  11. If you only earn $82,000 a year on a $10M principal, you dont deserve to have that money. Should easily be able to draw 3-4%/year, which is $300k-400k, and STILL have growth on the principal. So $10M is generational if you play it right. I know this because I've already planned on $10M being my "eff you" point if I ever hit the lottery or on crypto or whatever. Could do alright on $5M, but it would be close. Anything more than $10M is just gravy. Maybe ask @Chef Jim for advice.
  12. A decade into his career, and well after he spent this first few years of his career telling everyone he was from Pittsburgh since that is where he finished HS. Never once corrected the media to say he's actually from Buffalo. Even all those times before he played the Bills twice a year. Eff Gronk. Good for him for all the success in his career and the money he has made, sincerely. But as a Bills fan, and Buffalonian, eff him.
  13. Especially drafting #30 overall, and late in each round. I think we got decent production from Rousseau, all things considered. Very similar to what the Dolphins got out of his college team mate, Jaelan Phillips, who went #18 and the 1st DE off the board.
  14. I pounded the board here that Von Miller was NEVER going to amount to anything in the NFL since he was too small to generate a pass rush against NFL LTs. That's my worst one. Runner-up goes to wanting Geno Smith in 2013. But in fairness, I was picking out of a complete pile of garbage QB class, and out of all of them, Smith is still in the NFL and even started games last year (yeah, it's a low bar but I'm grasping for anything here, haha). For his performance the first 2-3 seasons, you weren't wrong. Dude was a force outside, especially in Schwartz's defense. Rex ruined him.
  15. Nah, unnecessary.
  16. I think we can keep two of those three, and I think we should only keep two of those three. Being Knox and Oliver.
  17. 1. Extend/Restructure Diggs 2. Re-sign Knox this year 3. Re-sign Davis next year There are Josh's top-3 targets for years to come. If Singletary keeps developing, or we get a new RB, that would likely be the 4th target as it is. Then you can futz around with midround picks, free agents, whatever at slot and depth. Josh will help make any of those guys look better anyways.
  18. I'd take the 3rd in a trade, but would also be interested in a player:player trade.
  19. All we can hope for is the Josh Allen discount.
  20. Happier to give that amount to Phillips than Vernon Butler.
  21. IF he re-signs.
  22. Thank you, Process and Sal! That makes more sense. Interesting, as that might hint at Butler being the DC-in-waiting? What do folks think about that? Also interesting that Butler was a High School team mate of McD. NFL coaching nepotism at every turn...
  23. McBeane playing 4D chess giving our coaches such crazy titles our opponents arent even sure who is doing what!
