This was (yet another) great 30 For 30 that really highlights how much Deion got screwed over in the court of public perception. Largely by the selfish Atlanta Braves organization. What should have been one of the most covered, celebrated moments in sports was twisted into a reason to bag on the guy. A real shame. Absolute phenomenal athlete (still #2 to Bo Jackson tho).

I give them the most credit for being so quick to realize the mistake and cut bait. So many NFL guys would stubbornly stick with it and go down with that ship.

I believe the phrase was... "F$&% them picks" Seemed to work for the Rams. Agreed that once you are this close, the strategy changes. The "process" changes. Beane needs to be ready to strike while the iron is hot. I know McBeane want to build and maintain a perennial playoff team, but I'll take our chances at a couple of down years if we bring home a Super Bowl. For what it's worth, if/when the Bills win a Super Bowl I may take a year or two away from following football as it is (who am I kidding, I'll be there for every down). So Cleveland has multiple NFL teams that left to win Super Bowls while still having none of their own. Ouch.

Alright, I was hoping so but it's tough to tell sometimes. Well played, @Buffalo_Stampede

Did you see the Jags game to end their season?

Absolutely not making fun of him. But the thread title is really witty and well-done.

PLENTY of mediocre players make $5-7M/yr in the NFL.

Is that what DK stands for?

Klein @ $6M >>>> Edmunds @ $13M

That's hilarious. Props to the Seahawks media team

McAffee tweeted early this morning that the terms and amounts being reported were wrong too. Wonder what is up... -

So in other words, still one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game. -
I think it's both, but definitely at least 2 1st round picks.

#1 in what? I still have them as 3rd in their Division.

How many 1sts you think it took? I'm setting the line at 4...

They're saving money and freeing cap space with this deal, and Josh will be making $51M in a couple years, so... -

Denver fans in shambles. They really thought Nate Hackett is so special that Rodgers was going to follow him. LOL. Also, this deal isnt that huge. Josh will be making similar money (and even $51M) in a couple years. I'll take Josh everyday, but Rodgers is a pretty good QB too. Would rather give Rodgers $50M/yr than Kirk Cousins $45M/yr. -
Speculative article on friction between McDermott and Staff?
DrDawkinstein replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
The 2 pt conversion was on the previous TD. We kicked for 1 on the last TD with 13 sec left. I know this because I was under the same impression for a while until I went back and looked at the order of everything. -
Who will be the #1 pick in the draft?
DrDawkinstein replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
If the Jags stay at #1, Neal is the right pick. Must, must, MUST start protecting and building around Lawrence. -
Speculative article on friction between McDermott and Staff?

In that same vein... It is mentioned that there is friction among a bunch of arrogant, stubborn, driven men in a high-pressure, high-profile environment and TBD immediately jumps to McDermott losing the team and not being a good leader because he didnt say something (which he has actually said over and over). Lot of you are eating this up as well. Sometimes you just have to call a spade no big deal. -

"...It comes down to execution, which starts and ends with the Head Coach... I take full responsibility for the execution that wasnt where it needed to be" Same thing he's said all along. What more do people want? Self-flagellation on Empire Sports Network? -

YOU are the only one I've seen driving this "speculation". Seems we're in some sort of twitter feedback loop on a line of bull####. -
