  1. Yes, that's exactly how it works. Players dont have much power to "leave" beyond retiring. If he does that, teams can and will claw back prorated amounts of any signing bonus. Vontae Davis cut Beane a check a week after leaving at halftime. Paid back his bonus without much asking from the team. Handled it like a pro. They also obviously do not get any of the salary portion after they leave.
  2. It would explain a lot.
  3. Followed by the Young and the Restless. I'd only stay home a few times each year, but was always able to pick right back up on the story since nothing ever really happened. (Except for the blockbuster event of Victor and Nikki's wedding)
  4. Yeah, the LG spot is really the only one that might see a change in the next couple of seasons. But Edwards is under contract through 2025, so it's his spot to lose. We'd probably have to see an unfortunate injury in order for any of the youngsters to see any real starting time. After 2025 tho, I could see them moving on from Edwards.
  5. Oh there can be consequences...
  6. Dammit, knew it was coming On the flip side...
  7. A doctor of WHAT tho?!?
  8. Yeah, I'm all for providers/creators getting paid (I pay for a subscription to the Athletic) but would much rather pay $1 for this article than $8 for an entire month.
  9. Can try Vitamin C, Zinc, and Elderberry supplements to try to fight it faster. Agreed with Jack on medicating just to get through the symptoms.
  10. lol. Folks in here acting like their entire memory reset on Jan 1...
  11. Two of the best things you can say about an Offensive Guard
  12. That was yesterday. The game no one played in and we were trying to preserve health. He's done it numerous times throughout the year tho.
  13. Maybe they didnt want to drudge up the negative past in a moment when Dunne has been gifted an interview with someone he tore apart last year? I cant imagine Dunne would have many good answers for "how do you go from tearing someone down to a very positive piece like this?" without only saying "Need the clicks, bro". Dunne is only on the WGR show to promote his blog and this article. Just focus on the new article and keep moving forward I guess.
  14. Dude is making an entire career out of McD drama... I'm gonna hang out in this thread until @boyst or someone posts a tricky way to get around the paywall.
  15. This was not a serious game.
  16. We always need at least one sacrifice. Even in an over-achieving 13-4 (14-3) season.
  17. Kinda the opposite but this guy did bring a clown to his firing... https://nypost.com/2019/09/13/man-being-fired-brings-emotional-support-clown-to-meeting/ Man being fired brings emotional support clown to meeting Auckland ad man Joshua Jack said he sensed the bad news when he received an email from his agency employer telling him they needed to have a meeting to discuss his role this week. “It did talk about being able to bring a support person,” Jack said of the email in an interview with local radio station Magic Talk on Friday. “I thought, it’s either a promotion or worse. I thought it was best to bring in a professional — so I paid $200 and hired a clown.” ...The clown mimed crying as Jack’s employers slid the redundancy paperwork across the table and created a balloon unicorn and poodle to lighten the mood.
  18. Considering we are 100% healthy going into the playoffs, I feel pretty good about it. Regardless of scheme and regular season performance.
  19. I'm pretty sure we literally cant deny a promotion interview. Only laterals can be denied IIRC.
  20. He'll take the interview, as he should. The practice and experience of sitting in as many interviews as possible is invaluable. It's what most short-sighted haters miss about the Rooney rule. The interviews are valuable no matter what.
