I put this on our coaching as well. It is the coach's job to put players in a position to succeed. And in both attempts, he instead setup Bass to fail. Career long-type attempts in the wind and rain. Not only did McD take any possible wind from our sails by taking the wuss route, Not only did we not get any points, but he may have inadvertently sabotaged our kicker's mojo going forward by setting him up to miss. Inexcusable calls by the HC.

To your point, I'd say it was the Chiefs game. It seems this team came into this season only wanting to avenge last years loss, and beat the Chiefs, and then everyone was satisfied and packed it in.

Is McDermott a Wartime Consigliere?
DrDawkinstein replied to DallasBillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall
My point is, the question sucked when I asked it originally. We dont need duplicate dumb ideas! But no offense to the other OPs. It is a topic worth discussing. -

My thoughts from attending yesterday’s game
DrDawkinstein replied to Brennan Huff's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unfortunately, if you dont want to stand for most of (or the entire) game, your best bet is Club seats. Maybe the Family Section as well. Other than that, it seems the entire stadium stands for pretty much the entire game, except for long time outs. -
I dont know how much I can agree with this. At least the 99% part. Bad protection and lack of run game are certainly big factors. But his insistence of playing hero ball and going deep is on him, and also contributes to the "bad protection" factor. Get the ball out quick. We are running the Patriots playbook. We KNOW those quick passes to Welker/Edelman/BEASLEY exist. They used them in lieu of a run game for years. Short pass, ball out QUICK. As the article shows, even when he makes short passes, he is holding it for 3 seconds and only making the short pass as a dump off. Usually after staring down the receiver as well.

When does McD go on the hot seat?
DrDawkinstein replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bucs are 100% vaccinated behind VERY outspoken, public, and clear-cut direction from Arians. The Patriots are also one of the top vaccinated teams behind Belichick's approach. None of that "respecting decision" garbage. Take the politics and fear-mongering propaganda out of it, it's about availability and winning. A completely opposite approach from what our coach and players took. Team-first vs Player-first. It's hardly the only, or even main, issue. But there is no way it hasn't contributed to at least a minor rift in the locker room, regardless of what players say in press conferences. And rift or not, has now hampered our team in at least 2 games, which greatly contributed to losing. Starts at the top with leadership. Edit: A preemptive "save your puke faces". Facts dont care about how you feel about the vaccines. Like it or not, this is about availability and being committed to winning, and it is what it is. -

When does McD go on the hot seat?
DrDawkinstein replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Like I said, I hate the idea as well. But there are certain things that need to be discussed. At least among us fans whose opinions dont mean anything. -
As much as I hate to contribute to the over-reactionary, dramatic posts made after a loss, I feel this at least needs to be discussed. First, I HATE the idea of changing coaches again. Good organizations do not do this. They simply make the adjustments where needed, and keep the ship sailing. So I do not suggest this lightly. That said, while McD has been EXACTLY what the Bills needed as a culture-changing rebuilder, I am not sure he is the type of cut-throat destroyer needed to take our talent to the next level, keep the team playing tough, and lead us to the promise land for a Championship. Reid, Arians, Belichick, Carroll... None of these guys are exactly "kumbaya culture" guys. I dont know what else it will take to get this group pissed off and fired up to win. We are soft and finesse-y on both sides of the ball... And this isnt even getting into how woefully unprepared we have been for most games this season, and how poor our players are at even the basics (tackling, catching, protecting the ball, etc). Dude needs to show us something, fast.

And there is no reason to play the anthem before a sporting event. It is neither the time nor the place for it. It makes no sense to do so. There. Problem solved.

The process is a joke, they barely check anything, dont worry about it.

If he's vaxxed, he might be able to play Sunday, and will almost definitely be able to play against the Saints. If he isnt vaxxed, he can not play either game. HUGE difference, and plenty to do with being vaxxed.
