  1. I hope my family wants to get into crypto because that's all they are getting for Xmas this year after I spent all the present money buying the dip this weekend!
  2. I think Rhule is about ready to give up on the NFL and kicking himself he isnt in a better position for one of the top College HC openings. edit: Side note, I only recently learned Rhule is a UB guy.
  3. He just recently restructured from $10M/year to $6.2M/year. An extension might move some money around, but not sure how much more you are going to get him to bend. And he's already 32, I wouldnt promise him any more money after 35. Especially considering all his recent choices which impacted his availability.
  4. He's under contract for 2 more years. McBeane better have the middle of the DL shored up well before that.
  5. A friend summed it up perfectly the other day: "We are a very good team with a lot of talent, that is also super inconsistent. Which means I am not scared of any specific team, but I'm scared before every game." So the team I fear the most is the Bills. We are the team that beats ourselves. When we actually show up and execute, no other team can beat us.
  6. He was never coming here. He wasnt going to leave Florida/the Southeast.
  7. I cant believe we lost to ***** Jacksonville.
  8. There should have been a taunting call, and a roughing the passer call on that play. But the refs were consistent and kept the flag in their pockets for both teams all night (as much as possible, anyways). And it definitely made for a better game. Since they were pretty fair about it, I'm fine with no calls there. I wont judge them compared to how other crews call games. We know NFL officiating is an absolute mess in general. But I'm fine with the way Thursday night went.
  9. Tough situation. I hope Griffen gets the help and support he needs, and that it all works out ok in the end.
  10. I know some folks that have them and love them. The couple of times I've tried it out, I was pretty impressed. Fun times. Cool stuff. But I won't ever own an Oculus with their tie to Facebook. Especially with the requirement of having an active FB account in order for the device to work. Back a couple months ago when FB had the big outage, none of the Oculus devices were working either since FB was down. Plus, I dont want to put anything over my head that is owned by FB. Once you put it on, they may never let you out!
  11. Pretty sure there is record of Beane talking about the draft and wanting to improve the pass rush with the main reason being they saw how Tampa beat KC in the SB and said "That's what we need to do". Now, sure, pass rush is an important foundational piece of the game. But the tunnel-visioned focus on it, at the expense of the run game and shoring up other areas of need, seems like it was mainly influenced by KC. Hence why I said it was a mistake (or in your words, a bad job). I dont think it's necessarily a fireable offense, but it is a mistake.
  12. I'd like to agree with you, but with the way the KC game has served as such a demarcification point between the Good Bills, and Bad Bills, it seems not only the FO, but the entire team came into this season with a singular focus. Not, unfortunately, winning the Super Bowl. But rather, beating the Chiefs. And once we did that, everyone checked out.
  13. DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, BILLS FANS!
  14. Stating the obvious but... The mistake there is building to beat one team instead of building to beat any and every team with classic, foundational football. Especially in a league with rules that create churn, parity, and set the stage for that one team to be completely different year over year.
  15. CRO making some waves, and looks like the Loopring dip has ended... Blinked and missed my chance at both of those.
  16. One of my favorite and most accurate Belichick-isms is: "More games in the NFL are lost than won", and he's also said "Dumb loses more games than Smart wins". Point is, games are usually decided by one team making more mistakes and beating themselves. Bills are a perfect example of that this year.
  17. Not sure the Bills need a Joc Pederson to bring in the fun. Seems we've had too much of that already. They need a winning vet to get people focused. Someone to turn the music off, kick the social media team out of the training room, and put everyone to work.
  18. Lately, the Bills do not respect wood.
  19. Yeah I watched the game. But did you read the article this thread is based on? So not sure I completely agree with your assessment. My point in the post you quoted was about getting the ball out QUICKLY. Like much closer to 2 seconds. And to use those plays as a substitute for a running game, since we have neither the line nor the backs to run the ball. Obviously, when we're in a situation that takes away the running game (being down big, late), then that takes away all of those plays, and we're going to try to push it downfield. However, I have seen the Pats effectively control the clock even with the short game, since the plays are quick and the WR is typically on an out route and already heading to the sideline. I can specifically remember Edelman crushing the Ravens over and over in a playoff game with simple, short, quick outs that moved the ball down the field but took little time off the clock. It isnt checking down to any Charlies. That would be what Josh was doing yesterday after holding the ball far too long. I'm talking designed, fast, short passes. Get the ball out immediately to the primary receiver. The offense gets far less penalties when OL only have to block for a second instead of 3 or 4. They jump far less when the entire O is in a rhythm from connecting short, quick passes. They were ok, and made to look better by the passing game. Agreed none of our current schlubs would be let in their building.
  20. Good to know. Thanks! Last time I was up there was for the 2008 opener against the Seahawks. We had to stand the whole time. Maybe it's changed since then, or maybe it was just because it was the opener.
  21. All good man. I was just taking an opportunity for some shameless self promotion, and some self-deprecating humor.
  22. "Great minds" or something...
  23. PLEASE post the results of you in a Patriots jersey asking the Monday Night crowd to sit down. 🤣
