The end of college football as we know it. The NCAA messed this up BIG TIME (not surprising). All they had to do was implement a stipend for scholarship athletes. Instead they took the "easy" way and opened up NIL, which just makes the entire college sports world a "highest bidder" platform. edit: To be clear, I'm fine with the portal, players/students should be able to transfer however they see fit. I'm fine with paying the players, there is so much money going around because of them anyways. What I hate is the decisions the NCAA made on how players can get paid.

I feel like a lot of the play calls were based on the idea of "let's see if we catch a break and a defender slips and falls". Which is fine. I get it. When push came to shove and we needed real drives to put the game away, the boys buckled down and Daboll, Josh, and Singletary came through for two long, 12 play, 6-7min, mostly running, drives for TDs in the second half.

Short answer: The Super Bowl isnt played in cold weather. And being able to run the ball and stop the run is not exclusive to cold weather. We also have outdoor fields back then and now. Good question, whether we bothered to use our outdoor fields or not.

Good insight, but it still seems lopsided. However, since you mention it, I wonder what happened to all the presnap motions and play action that helped make our offense so successful last year? And where did it go/Why did we stop? Did Daboll really think we could just line up and own teams with basic 5-wide formations and plays? Probably. And it's a fireable offense. (Pun intended)
