Off Topic guess Lamar’s new contract
DrDawkinstein replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
The cap will continue going up. And when the new deals are factored in, should go up substantially. And I dont have to look it up to tell you what we both know. It's never happened. -

Wont happen. Remember, the Watson fallout started when the owner reached out to Deshaun and promised he would have a voice in the new HC hiring, and then never bothered to call him. The Bills have shown that Josh has a well-recognized voice within the organization. Citing Josh's request and comfort with Dorsey as being a primary factor in his promotion to OC. And even Josh being comfortable enough to tweet "No" in response to the tweet about trading Diggs to Dallas. Terry and McBeane run a completely different ship than McNair and Easterby. We'll be fine. -
I love it. You could say "Have you checked out the new wing they built?" Literal wing. And if they built it large enough and at an angle, it could look like the wing is being dipped into the stadium.

Off Topic guess Lamar’s new contract

"No" - Ravens Now what? It definitely isnt the easiest deal to do seeing as how he isnt a typical QB, puts his body at more risk with his running, and missed time due to multiple COVID infections while refusing to be vaccinated (I get all the COVID stuff is over, but who knows what comes up next that he wont play along with and cost himself time). Plus, that MVP award he won is looking more and more like a joke considering he's never made it past the Divisional round while being on a well-built, well-managed, well-coached team. So nah, I offer him Dak money at best. See how he negotiates with that. -

Larry Tunsil pulled this off successfully, but he was negotiating from a huge point of strength and against a knucklehead in Bill O'Brien. Not sure Lamar will have the same success with the Ravens FO, but will be interesting to see. -
ISO: Suggestions for moderators at PPP
DrDawkinstein replied to SDS's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
This whole thing was a farce and manipulation by the "Message Board Elite" (SDS) to divide and distract us while he siphoned precious Board revenue into his own coffers to fix his plumbing issues. -
As much as possible and have always fought to do so. During my first start up we even had built-in escalators to make sure our employees were getting a big chunk of profits, and plenty of ways for them to earn bonuses based on tickets closed, billable time, etc. One of the biggest professional arguments I was ever in was with the President/CFO of the company (different than the start up) over the amount of salary we were offering and why we couldnt find good talent at that rate. How much do you pay your employees, @HereComesTheReignAgain? Do you agree with paying people as little as possible and hoarding the wealth for yourself?

The entire C&F services budget was $4.5 billion annually pre-cut and is now $3.7 billion post cut. So, once again over the 30 year stadium deal, C&F services will still receive $111 billion or enough to build four stadiums a year, every year, for thirty years.

Popular within the company for maintaining headcount and hiring new employees. Of course plenty of other CEOs will be as greedy as usual and keep wages as low as possible to milk wealth off the working class.
-
He also has set a $75k Minimum Wage for his company which has been wildly successful and popular.

This should really be in PPP. That said, Dan Price usually makes some good points, and I see why outsiders are upset about the deal, but both decisions mentioned in that tweet deserve additional context. I believe the $800M cut from Family Services was the additional money that was added to their budget in 2020 in the COVID emergency.

It was one of the main points issued by the Pegulas. Open-air with seat covering, in OP, natural grass field. Nothing is as safe as the real stuff, because nothing gives like the real stuff. Any type of artificial surface, even the newer stuff, does not rip up and divot like a natural grass field. The lack of give or tear-away ability is what will always make the artificial surfaces inferior and more dangerous than good ol grass growing in dirt.

It seemed like there were a number of times during games where our Offense was struggling that Josh was just sitting on the bench by himself with no one to talk to, even though Mitch was kinda around. Previously, Barkley was always there with Josh. It may just be a coincidental observation and actually mean nothing, but I'm happy to have Matt back around for Josh's sake.

Even better. My point then is, even worst case, folks are only paying >$13/year. Or just over $1/month. A trivial pittance when it means being able to keep our beloved team. I'm just offering other perspectives because so many people online are overreacting to that "$850M" quoted number. And they feel like it's going to put them in the poor house. When in reality, folks wont even notice.

I havent gone through the entire thread to see if someone did the math, but in case no one has... The Cost for Erie County residents to keep the Bills in Buffalo: $250,000,000 / roughly 650,000 tax payers = $384.62 each Over 30 years, that is $12.82/year/taxpayer to keep the Bills and lock them in. I'd happily pay it.

We definitely need to build a more traditional running attack with a real threat RB. But stopping Josh from running completely would be a huge mistake. We need to have a couple of designed Josh runs per game. Along with a couple of his scrambles. The defense needs to know there is the threat of Josh running, and we need to take advantage of Josh's unique running ability.

Minimum for a Diggs extension is set
DrDawkinstein replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Safe call, since he makes $18M/yr currently. -
nothing forces the agent but the player. you're right that washington likely reached out directly to JD. and when washington told him they'd match the Bills offer, JD called his agents and said "Call Washington's GM. I'm staying in DC"

I believe 4:35pm today was right around the time Beane was answering the question in his presser about Diggs' contract. I dont think it is a bad thing because Beane seemed to make it clear they would take care of Stefon. Or it's (most likely) completely unrelated.

GREAT press conference. Worth every minute of the 42mins. Every answer is detailed, open, honest, and in-depth behind the scenes stuff. Learned a lot from this.

Matt Barkley Back? (Yep! deal not yet known)

So much hand-wringing in this thread. I would think you'd all know by now... Josh doesnt get injured. Josh DOES THE INJURING.
