  1. Sure, but unlikely that any other CB2 we get is as good as Sauce. And CB doesnt have the help to look good like our WRs do with Josh. I'm not even really for this trade, nor do I think the proposed offering is enough to move up to get him, but I wouldnt hate the move. edit: And honestly, if Sauce is even half of what he's hyped to be, he really becomes our CB1, and gives up flexibility with Tre's deal and maybe trading him or letting him go elsewhere when his deal is up.
  2. We found Davis in the 4th round. We could/likely trade Diggs for a handful of picks. There are other avenues to finding WRs, who Josh is always going to make look better than they are, than the 1st round.
  3. Not one like Sauce Gardner tho. I hear what youre saying about the 3rd and additional 1st. But Sauce is tempting. Although I'm not sure 2 1sts, a 3rd, and a 5th is enough to move as far up as we'd need to in order to draft him. It's fun to imagine in this part of the offseason.
  4. I hope not. Out Tackles (Dawkins, Brown, and Doyle) are all pretty young. Our C/Gs are all pretty old (outside of Bates). Getting replacements for Saffold and Morse should be top priority when addressing the OL. The Mancz signing is ok, but I dont know that we can/should count on him to step up and take over for Morse.
  5. Yeah, thought it was strange myself, but they probably think they wont have a chance at him?
  6. Yes, you can do both, and that is what Beane has been doing. But the point is, when you are this close, you pause one to focus on the other. His success at the more conservative, long term build plan allows him to be temporarily more aggressive when needed. IMO, now is that time.
  7. F*** Them Picks We are in win-now mode. Yes, Beane will always want to build to be a perennial winner, but when you are this close in that building, you take the bigger jumps to ensure you get to the promise land. 1 Super Bowl victory and a couple mediocre years right after is better for McBeane's long term job security than 3 more years of winning the division but losing in the playoffs.
  8. He said something similar about Beasley a couple months ago. 🤷‍♂️ What he just said is pure GM speak. Of course he would want to see Diggs in Buffalo for years to come. What he didnt say is "at all costs, no matter what he asks for, even to the detriment of building the rest of the team". I do think a new deal will get done next year. But trading him isnt completely impossible or unexpected. It is definitely one of the likely potential outcomes. And as much as we ALL love Diggs, this team revolves around Josh. And will revolve around Josh for at least the next 6-8 years, which is a lot longer than Diggs will be playing in the NFL. So like it or not, there will be a day in the near future where the Josh Allen-lead Bills do not have Diggs. We have our Franchise QB. Rotate/build talent around him in ways that are best for the team. No single WR breaks that approach.
  9. He just needed Mike Jasper blocking for him.
  10. First player I've ever heard talk about doing research on a franchise before he was drafted and then saying "huge fan of Bruce Smith, huge fan of Cornelius Bennett". Most of the guys on our team RIGHT NOW don't know who those players are.
  11. From this "Bitcoin" Barkley article I NEED to see those texts.
  12. How are you all tracking upcoming shows in your area? Pollstar has moved to subscription, and the free Artvoice/Creative Loafing type papers are dead. I'm having to visit each individual venue's website and it's a PITA.
  13. We should grab a beer on the beltline next week and discuss.
  14. It's just "National Lie Day". People dont even do fun pranks anymore. Just lie about something dumb. Yawn.
  15. Not when we're talking about a National Championship team from the SEC.
  16. Anyone past their rookie year is technically a vet. And regardless of what the apologists will tell you, having played 4 years is a solid vet career.
  17. I;m not putting much stock in the rumor, but it makes for good offseason discussion.
  18. I could see us moving Edmunds, Epenesa, Moss, or Singletary along with our #25, to move up to like #20 and secure Jameson Williams.
  19. 100% It doesnt matter who is coaching in TB right now when the division is Brady vs Winston, Mariota, and Darnold.
  20. For as much as I hate to say it, he has a QB who will be the firey leader who everyone already follows as the real head of the team anyways.
  21. Rough that both Kenyon Green and Jameson Williams go right before our pick. I know this isnt the version for it, but I'd be down for a trade up IRL to get either of those guys over McDuffie. I know McDuffie gets a lot of hype and is ranked to be a value pick there, but there is something about him that doesnt excite me. I dont see him pop off the film like some others (disclaimer: I aint watchin no real "film", I'm just talking about highlight videos). But he fills a big need and is decent value so I'd be fine with the pick.
  22. Yeah, if Dean is there, it would be really tough for me as a GM to pass him up. One of my favorite players in the draft.
