  1. Still a guess until you call and have the convo.
  2. They reworked the contract, but can get out of it at anytime pretty cheaply (his dead cap hit is $5M next year). Plus, Morse is on the verge of retirement. And is one slap to the head away from a forced retirement. Get the Center who will be with Josh for the rest of his contract.
  3. How do you know what it would cost unless you call and have the conversations? That could be the extent of the "interest".
  4. Why would you doubt it? Beane will have a conversation on pretty much any/every available player. He's everywhere. I expect him to be "interested" in every FA CB right now. And why wouldnt we be interested in bringing Gilmore back as a stop-gap if he could be signed for cheap?
  5. Devin Lloyd and Tyler Linderbaum not getting the respect they deserve here. Those are blue chip prospects, with not a lot of depth at their position in this draft. We can get DBs and WRs later. If Linderbaum and/or Lloyd is there at #25, Bills would be nuts to pass on that value.
  6. Just a side bar on this often referenced stat. The "less than 4 years" counts every single player to even get an invite to a camp. All the wash outs bring the average down. When you remove the camp fodder guys, I believe it's more like 6+ years. Let me try to dig up an article... Edit: Here's what I found with some quick googling... Players who make a team’s opening day roster in his rookie season average a six-year career. A player on a team’s roster for at least three games in at least three seasons plays for an average of 7.1 years. First-round draft picks have average careers of 9.3 years. The average career length skyrockets to 11.7 years for a player who is chosen for or plays in a Pro Bowl at least once in his career. Wallace falls into the first two bullets. But I absolutely agree with you that these guys should get as much money as possible, as quickly as possible, because it can all end just as quickly. Wallace may not get another contract after this one. So, good for Levi.
  7. From what folks can gather out of Beane's press conference and the answers he gave regarding the McKissic debacle, the Bills didn't give Wallace's camp a solid offer because they were moving that money to McKissic. Then when McKissic went back to Washington, Wallace had already signed with Pitt, and Beane was pissed because we could have made a better effort to sign Wallace and not have that hole.
  8. Then they would just be the old Pats.
  9. I like Hill over McDuffie even. Start him outside this year and look to move him to Safety as those guys age out. Or let McD come up with new ways to use this dynamic player.
  10. I mean, if you read the whole article it's clear that's not really the case. They are losing $45M this year due to the increased cost of Aluminum alone. But the aluminum part is interesting. The article mentions how they hedge against the cost so they prepare themselves and the company for stuff exactly like this.... I'm reminded of the beginning of the pandemic, when after years of hearing (from corporate sponsored mouthpieces) that folks not having much money was due to things like "avocado toast" and "buying starbucks", and that people should cut back and focus on savings... but when COVID hit, it turned out that all these companies who rake in BILLIONS of dollars every year had the savings to cover exactly ZERO months of operating costs. They had $0 saved! And were about to all collapse immediately if not for, once again, the taxpayer bailing them out. They still cut those fat bonus checks for the execs tho (thanks to the taxpayers). And now that things are back on track, theyre pulling in even bigger profits, and charging it to us. Funny how the huge, shareholder lead companies are so greedy, but the privately held company started and operated by a guy who came from the bottom (delivering beer/drinks in a truck) knows how to properly run a business, plan for trouble, and also take care of his customers.
  11. https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2022-04-12/az-iced-tea-inflation-99-cents?_amp=true Just a reminder that almost every other company, certainly every consumer goods company, could be doing this same thing. Sacrificing the CEO's $25M/year bonus to keep prices flat. But nah. They'll happily use these excuses (supply chain issues, Russia, etc), to jack up prices and scrape more cash off the back of the working class while raking in record profits.
  12. I advise you to have a GREAT F#%IN BIRTHDAY!
  13. As others have said, I'll ultimately defer to McBeane's expertise since this is an area where they have proven they know what they are doing. But personally, from only watching youtube highlight videos, I havent been as impressed with McDuffie as I'd hoped. I think even Dax Hill looks better/more exciting.
  14. Thank you, Brian Flores. And thank you, Bill Belichick for that "accidental" text message.
  15. Between him, Norm, and Bob Saget it's been a rough few months for some of my favorite comedians.
  16. Got to see him do stand up live a few times, always killed. What a bummer.
  17. Its all so subjective, but outside of my fandom, I'd try to put together an objective list that looks like: Brady Rodgers Mahomes Allen Burrow The first 3 all have SB victories, so they have an advantage. I've seen lists that have Allen #3 behind Brady and Rodgers. Allen #1 after this season tho.
  18. Yep. A bunch of my buds got into the XFL a couple years ago for similar reasons, and initially our fanaticism was just for jokes. But by the end of the year we were all semi-invested and actually cheering for our teams.
  19. Their job is to say slightly controversial crap opinions to keep people talking about their show, not to be technically accurate.
  20. I was there in person for the amazing Buffalo Bandits championship runs in the 90s. But that's about it. Still kinda sad.
  21. And so many Retail and Gas companies reporting record profits. Not revenue. Profits.
  22. Best Bourbons Under $50 In 2022 https://www.tastingtable.com/804476/best-bourbons-under-50-in-2022/ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stetson Bennett just tearing into a $3500 bottle of bourbon after the Natty.
  23. Pretty much. Bourbon collecting became the big "dude/dad" thing to do during COVID. Almost everyone I'm reconnecting and hanging out with again talks about their collection. There are private tasting parties going down in just about every cul-de-sac each weekend. In Atlanta (as is all over the country), you can no longer just walk into a liquor store and buy a fancy bottle of bourbon. You better form a rapport with the shop owner/manager, and be in their shopper's club, and be known to buy a lot, and then maybe theyll let you buy the nice bottle they now keep behind the counter. But only one bottle. Oh, and for 2x-3x as much as it was selling a couple years ago. This is why I stick with weed. That all said, there are still plenty of good bourbons at or under $50, and even the snobbiest of new-connoisseurs I know will still happily drink some Knob Creek and Buffalo Trace. Can't be drinking the $1500 Old Pappy every night. @YoloinOhio, you could probably do any of the following, and make a decent contribution to the collection: Elijah Craig Weller SR Old Forrester Four Roses Knob Creek 9yr Woodford Buffalo Trace Eagle Rare
