Execs Unfiltered On All 32 Draft Classes
DrDawkinstein replied to Brand J's topic in The Stadium Wall
Both were selected far after, and neither were as heralded prospects, as... Chris Kelsay. So keep that perspective when judging how they are performing vs their draft position. -
Execs Unfiltered On All 32 Draft Classes
DrDawkinstein replied to Brand J's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pretty much, yes. Late 1st, and two Late 2nds. Epenesa gets a 1 year pass from me since he was a rookie during COVID when there were no rookie camps or OTAs. We'll see how he looks this year tho. Rousseau had flashes last year and was pretty solid. I dont see many players in Boogie's range that had any big impacts of their own. Maybe the Creed Humphrey pick a lot of us wanted, but that's about the only one. Bills fans need to get used to the fact that all this winning completely changes the draft for us. Picking so late basically gives us "early picks" for the next round. So yeah. So far, so good. With more improvement and development expected. -
I mean, dude's name is "Dose", what do you think is gonna happen?

QB Coach Joe Brady; what’s his role with Josh?
DrDawkinstein replied to hemma's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like the hiring now, at this point when Josh is already well into his development, than if he were brought in earlier. Likely less about his technique and more about expanding his knowledge and reading defenses, etc. Go up to your original post, the ... in the upper right, and select Edit. -
And just like videos of fireworks, no one ever goes back and watches them again, and if you do, they never capture the awesomeness of the moment.

You dont think Diggs and Sanders mentored Davis and the other young guys? You dont think Hughes and Addison mentored Rousseau and Basham? You dont think D Williams and Dawkins mentored Spencer Brown? You dont think Frank Gore mentored Singletary? Almost all vets do it. Only some diva QBs dont.

None of our jobs are in any way comparable to playing a professional sport/playing in the NFL. Bad analogy. But to play along with your analogy. If I were a couple years away from retirement, and already made almost $200M, I'd be totally fine with it.

I mean, Kurt literally mentored Eli in NY, which got him another gig with the Cardinals where he mentored Leinhart. So you can't discount what he's saying with "he's not trying to win your job". They have, and he still did.

DHop is coming off his first injury-riddled season as he nears 30. Seems a pretty easy choice. Take something and recover from an injury stronger and 3 months faster in exchange for a 6 game suspension. Or don’t take anything, have a worse recovery, and return even later than the suspension return date.

Like pretty much every other player in the league, his whole career.

Take back the Hail Murray!

It's good for him to say this, and yes that should be the general philosophy. But it worries me if he really believes it and isnt willing to make the big move to get us over the top. Sure, we want to be a perennial winner, but a Super Bowl victory followed by a 9-8 year then a climb back to 12-5, is much better for Beane and McD's job security than going 13-4 and losing in the playoffs for the next 4 years. IMO, if you are this close, you absolutely risk mortgaging a year or two of our future in order to bring home the Lombardi. Rams did it multiple ways last year, and it paid off.
-
Good. That gives Beane something to do next offseason and earn his paycheck instead of golfing all Spring. I kid, but my point is, that can be addressed later with an entire offseason to work with.

I believe the prevailing thought was Tennessee was trying to jump us to get Elam, and partly evidenced by the fact that when we jumped Dallas and picked Elam, Titans immediately traded out of the round. So it wasnt just Dallas we were worried about.

Each RB with a Top 30 Visit, interesting....

NFL Accounting department in shambles trying to figure out how to cover $1000 worth of material.

Trade up for the RB they like the most. LET'S GOOOOOO Worry about those next year, imo. We're pushing for a Super Bowl run. We need guys who can contribute RIGHT NOW, not in 2023.

IIRC, they get a box of all 32 hats.

Game recognizes game, and Sherman is a smart dude.

Jets had a nice little draft. Got some good talent, I'll give them that. Doesnt matter tho since they still have Zach Wilson at QB.
