  1. Comes down to Ravens or Bengals for me. Ravens have the coaching, Bengals have the better QB and weapons. AND Bengals had a TON of cap space this offseason to completely revamp their OL. So while I think it will be close between the two, I lean Bengals. (Pittsburgh, no chance. I wont even mention the other team in Ohio)
  2. It's my understanding that @FilthyBeast is a Dolphins fan from the Dolphins message board. Not here as a Bills fan.
  3. Guess I have no choice but to do a little tuck and dance in memorial
  4. Well, like gas prices and everything else, consumers will be the last to see the savings.
  5. No, there is no need for concern here. These players, and especially Cover 1, arent telling any NFL professionals anything they dont already know or cant already figure out on their own. EVERY coach and almost every player understands the game at a whole different level than any of us civilians.
  6. Honestly, first thing I thought as well.
  7. 2 days of ongoing brawls. Just wasting precious practice time for two teams with new/uncertain QB situations. I wonder how much Beane paid his moles in Carolina to sandbag the Pats like this. You love to see it.
  8. Bills took it down from everywhere. Mustve finally caught that f-bomb that slipped through.
  9. We kept 6 last year. And 7 DTs. Even if we are planning on a slightly less rotation this year, I don't see them only keeping 4 DEs. Especially with the talent in this group since whoever we cut will likely end up on another team. Miller Rousseau Boogie Epenesa Lawson I guess Daniel Joseph or Mike Love could battle for that last spot. But we might keep 6 again anyways.
  10. The good news is that Apple and Amazon money will be hitting soon and bumping up the cap bigly.
  11. Same thing for Tenn in 2019. Shaq and JPhillips got under Lewan's skin so bad that he committed a number of penalties and sank their offense in a close game. I still say if we had been able to keep them, we would've beat them again in 2020. He and JPhillips bring a certain swagger to the team and DL that we have been missing. And now they bring a "buy in" that really helps make these guys into a team that every Super Bowl winning team needs. Plus, not bad talent to have at the 5th DE/DT levels.
  12. I have him 5th behind Von, Rousseau, Boogie, and Epenesa, with Shaq playing deep rotation and special teams. Think like taking over Efe Obada's role. What other youngsters would he be holding back at that level?
  13. James is only 26. Totally different approaches. It may have a small affect on what Poyer is looking for, but I dont think he'll try to get comparative compensation.
  14. He went where the play was supposed to go until the LB blew up the lead blocker. Blame the lead blocker for not getting out fast enough. Blame the LB for making a good play. But Moss was doing exactly what he was supposed to do, and then made a good, very quick change. What else is he supposed to do? Assume before the snap that his lead blocker is going to get blown up and run the wrong direction from the snap?
  15. I hope Shaq can stay on as the 5th DE. Last year I think we kept 6, so he should have a good chance. I'm glad he got paid, but it's cool to see him want to return so badly and be that happy to be back with the Bills.
  16. Sorry, this is some playing-afraid/playing-not-to-lose stuff. I understand the risks as well, and dont want to take any unnecessary chances, but almost every other starting QB played last week and Wilson was the one and only injury. So if that's your point, then you are telling us the odds are in our favor. There is a difference between being in running/conditioning shape, and being in hitting shape. Also, how dare you compare our big, beefy boy with soft, little Wilson. Josh isnt getting a no-contact bone bruise. He DELIVERS the bone bruises.
  17. I would guess somewhere around $15-20M/year Fred Warner who was a 3rd round pick in Edmunds class just signed a 5/$95M deal Shaq Leonard is 5/$98M
  18. Yep. I think the Bills want to keep him, but at the right price. I'm sure Beane has made an offer of some sort, likely right around Edmunds' current 5th year option number of $12M/season. And I would also assume Edmunds and his agent think (know) they could get way more on the open market. And that position prompted the drafting of Bernard, just in case.
  19. Players would also be the first to tell you they dont need Training Camp or Practice either. Dont believe the players. They're lazy when it comes to this stuff. I'm gonna need a link to some film and analysis on that.
  20. Big disagree on the bold. The coaches may have a vanilla game plan, but every player in a game, even if it is preseason, is going to go 100%. Because they dont know if the guy across from them is trying to make the team and going to go 100% too. And if they dont, then not only will they get dominated, but there is a huge risk for injury. In all my playing days across multiple sports, we always saw the most injuries when we'd have 75% play-throughs. And nothing in practice can simulate a real game. The starters need to get in and bang at least once before the regular season.
  21. I agree with @ColoradoBills that Knox will end up signing a deal that is friendly to both sides (a la Milano). However, if there is anyone who we might use the Tag on, I believe that would be Knox. The Tag number on a TE is just under $11M. Which is effectively the same as a 5th year option would cost on a 1st round pick. No brainer to use there if we need to kick the can another year. All the other guys play too expensive a position to Tag.
