Just watched the whole episode. Lots of good stuff. My favorite brief moment was when they showed the Ravens walking to the bus after the loss and Justin Tucker is carrying a box of La Nova with him. He knows whats up!

Ehh, I'm fine with it. Someone needs to set that tone and bring the juice. Love seeing our guys be more fired up and physical than the Ravens. That is saying something (good job, McD). We'll need it for the next 2 games. Especially against Philly.

Yeah, it was almost like he tried injuring himself more than Hollins was. You can see Mack pop up after the play and put his hands up like "I wasnt trying to do THAT, and this dude needs medical attention now" Not surprised Humphrey isnt the sharpest tool in the shed.
-
So Mack's block on Humphrey wasnt really about the Josh hit. A few plays prior to the block, Hollins caught a pass in the middle of the field and headed toward the sidelines. He took a "big" hit from Humphrey as he went out of bounds. One of those hits that happen in the snow/frozen field with bad footing. Probably a little late too. He popped right up, ready to fight, and luckily McD and others were there to pull him away. Then Mack got his revenge a few plays later

Not to defend them at all, but I can add that it's no different this time of year on sports radio anywhere. Even in Atlanta with far more pro teams to discuss, and college football and basketball being huge here. The afternoon show on 92.9 down here spent over an hour debating which one of the 3 hosts is the "most cultured". But first they had to spend an hour debating what "being cultured" actually meant. It's a slow sports time of year, and only gets worse in a couple weeks post-Super Bowl.

I tune into the post game to hear the player/coach interviews. Once they start taking calls, right after a game, it's time to turn it off and do something else. The morning show on my commute to work is still good.

Codrington named to PFWA All-Rookie Team

No, he got injured in the garbage game against the Pats. A small sacrifice for keeping our starting CBs healthy. -
Jets request to interview Joe Brady
DrDawkinstein replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall
We all know what happens when you let your Woody make decisions. Nothing good. Jets need to move on to post nut clarity before they'll ever be good. Funny enough, the best thing to ever happen to the Jets was Trump assigning Woody to the UK. It allowed Chris Johnson to take over, and he just let the football guys do their thing. -
Jets request to interview Joe Brady
DrDawkinstein replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall
Glenn to the Jets would be another great move for the Bills by a division rival. Nothing against the man, but I dont think its much of a groundbreaking hire. It will be same ol same ol in New Jersey. And will be that way as long as you have a Woody making decisions. I still worry about Brady to New Orleans. Seems like a well connected no-brainer. Hoping the Saints dont want to wait 3 weeks to make a hire. McCarthy would be a good land for them. -
Personally, this Ravens matchup is my "McDermott Game."

I'd be giving the signature McD claps too. Clappin for that mfer like 2 cheeks at Magic City during the NBA All Star Weekend! "Look at my little Champion! *clap clap clap* Oh, he's got 12 men on the field to defend a FG! *clap clap clap* Silly McD, give him another $5M!" -
So we're moving on from Harbaugh right?
DrDawkinstein replied to section122's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dont think McCarthy is great, but he was given another 9 years after his SB win. So yeah, I think he got the looooong leash from his SB win I mentioned earlier. Green Bay also had to deal with Rodgers and thats a big reason why they moved on from Mike. Once McD wins one I'm fine if Terry wants to hand him a lifetime contract and a blank check. -

100% agreed on every point -

It is an odd question. In response to an odd statement "McD would get hired in a second". Sure, of course he would. But what does that really say? Does the fact that teams like the Panthers, Raiders, Jets, Browns, and any other perennial basement dweller hold any relevancy to the debate on whether McD can/will get us a Championship? We are at a totally different level than a lot of other teams in the league. Therefore our coaching discussion is at a different level too. The fact he would (rightfully) get hired by SOME team doesnt really tell me anything I dont already know/believe. The McD Riders throw this statement around like it should end all debate, since we arent allowed to have those higher level discussions around here without being labeled a "hater". But it isnt really relevant to what we're talking about. So any playoff teams you could think of? -
The national media narrative since the Bills won
DrDawkinstein replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, it was really annoying being all excited to tune into coverage this morning, and the only person across multiple channels that was giving the Bills any credit was Dan Orlovsky (thanks, Dan!). Everyone else was still riding the Ravens dick, saying they lost it more than Buffalo won it, blahblahblah... -

There is a reason why the Playoff Lamar memes existed before today, and why they are setting the internet on absolute FIRE today. With the Ravens, it isnt directly on coaching. It's on the QB who turns the ball over and falls apart in the playoffs. 2 out of 3 are Super Bowl Champs. -

Could see the return to Philly. Lions could be in on both too. Funny enough Harbaugh and McD come from the same tree. And IMO they're very similar, except for one thing... The reason I dont have this discussion around Harbaugh is because he already has his Championship. As I've said a million times as a McD critic, win a Super Bowl and I'm fine with giving McD a lifetime contract to do whatever he wants however he wants. If McD wins one this year, I'd love to be in the current Ravens situation. Being like "This guy has been here too long, but he did get us to the promise land so I guess he gets to stay as long as he wants". Win one, and McD could start every game by blowing all our Time Outs on Defense and I'd be like "There goes our Champ!". 🤣 -

Absolutely. Any playoff team in that group you are imagining? -

I dont disagree with anything youre saying. Which playoff team would love to swap their coach for him? -

It was all Playoff Lamar. Nothing the coaches could do to change it. Tried to do too much. Fumbled the game away. -
Unfortunately, Goff is in those list of guys returning too 🤣

DrDawkinstein replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I didnt ask if he is better than Campbell or Taylor. I think he is as well. The question is, if playoff teams suddenly found themselves with a HC vacancy, is he the candidate or type of candidate they would want? Resume-wise, sure. But I'm not sure a Defensive-based, culture-sette is what established, successful teams are looking for in order to get them over the next step. This isnt bashing on McD. No need to get so offended. You dont need to defend anyone. Yes, McD would be hired IMMEDIATELY. Completely agree. By the Jets or Bears or Raiders, etc. I dont think the Bills would hire any of those other guys either. The same way I dont think any other top 5 team would want to hire Siriani, Taylor, Campbell or McD. Harbaugh is a Wild Card in this discussion since he already has a ring (regardless of how long ago) and has the name/pedigree. -

DrDawkinstein replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Of course. Because every team looking for a head coach sucks, and he would be a huge improvement and exactly what any of them need to right the ship and fix the culture. The real question is: If there was an open HC spot on any of the TOP teams, would any of them hire McDermott? If Reid has a massive coronary, do you think the Chiefs would want to replace him with McD? If the Ravens fired Harbaugh, do you think McD would be what they are looking for to take the next step? If the Lions lost Campbell, do they hire McD? The Bengals? Maybe the Eagles? IMO, McD's sweet spot outside of Buffalo would be going back to Carolina and fixing that franchise in a very winnable division. Assuming Tepper could stay out of his way. Or teams like the Bears, or even the Raiders.
