  1. Probably not, but could see it. Living and recruiting in Atlanta. Low expectations at GT, and a built in excuse due to academic standards. And if he has a few successful years here and lifts the program up a couple rungs, then could position himself for the Florida State job. (Assuming he'd go back to FSU, I've heard rumors that's not a great relationship)
  2. I wont knock hype posts -4 hours from kickoff of the season opener. Bring em on. LFG!!!!!!!
  3. Same. I'm confident we'll be making a run at the Super Bowl, one way or another. I'm confident we are the better team on paper tonight. But opening night... Hyped up in LA... And we dont have the best opening track record... Plus, anything can happen with these weird games. My heart says Bills by a Billion. But my brain says 50/50.
  4. Are we being productive here? I use this place as an excuse to be UNproductive at work. Or rather INproductive!
  5. Most players and their agents dont want to sign deals that long. And neither do teams. Things happen. Injuries, etc. Plus players want to cash in on the ever inflating cap. 4-5 years is the sweet spot for contracts. Especially for extensions which are technically a year longer considering the existing deal.
  6. I'm excited to see what Dorsey dials up coming from the background of being a fairly successful QB. I think he could elevate Josh's game to a whole new level. Let's ***** go.
  7. He'll be gone next year when they hire Sean Payton.
  8. You feel bad for a guy who has lived a very charmed life, is married to an IG model, has already earned $36M by 32 years old, is lined up to win a Super Bowl, and will likely make another $20M+ in free agency with another team before retiring at 35?
  9. huh? WE(?) arent basing anything off anything since this is just a discussion and does not apply to what actually happens.
  10. Google the articles of how Uber went after last year's prime time games. Folks stranded at the stadium until 2am and beyond. I'd have everyone chip in for a cheap rental. Totally worth it.
  11. Exactly. For the players that want a new deal but arent getting one (Poyer, Edmunds), they should be even more motivated to ball out for us this year to maximize their value in FA. Love it.
  12. Technically true, but when we win the SB this year and Gabe has a breakout year, he will want a new contract this offseason. And he isnt wrong to do so. Better to plan on it and be ready. (But I dont have the same amount of worry about any of it that the poster you were responding to does. Beane will get if done)
  13. $13-14M is totally affordable. Amazon and Apple money hasnt even kicked in yet.
  14. I need to go back and watch the entire 30min but I believe Josh specifically mentioned this in his chat with Chris Simms. IIRC, he didnt say he purposely overthrows them but more along the lines of, if he is going to err, it is going to be an overthrow so it doesnt get picked off.
  15. That was one (really the only name I noticed), and I dont love him that much. He certainly doesnt jump off the page as "oh man we really missed out on a future HoFer". Especially compared to what Beane did with the WR group anyways. If there is any criticism it is the 2nd round Cody Ford pick over the plethora of Pro-Bowl WRs that were picked in the 2nd round.
  16. Right. The RB discussion is fun/interesting for all us armchair GMs, but I smirk when I see the criticism of "wasting" a couple of mid-round picks. Valid criticism and discussion point, but we still have one of the best rosters in the league so not sure how much more Beane could have done. Especially when I look back at the rest of the picks in both Singletary's 3rd round, and Moss's 3rd round. No one else jumps off the page as "We shouldve picked that guy instead". Even looking into the 4th rounds.
  17. Took me a few days to work back to this, but what a great way to start my Friday. I just love Josh so much. We are very lucky to have him.
  18. I feel like the 2nd round is the sweet spot for teams that are already built and just looking for the RB to push them over the top. Using a 1st is too early, and mid/late rounds you might as well just try to strike oil in an UDFA. 2nd round is high enough to get talent, without wasting the valuable first. Beane tried a couple of 3rd rounders and theyve been mediocre. I like what he was trying to do in pushing the RB window back a round, but I think he finally realized that drop off from the 2nd to 3rd is real. Also, see Thurman Thomas.
  19. I'll search for a link, but I believe I read it's all over as it pertains to player policies and requirements. As are stadium policies for fans.
  20. Ravens being arguably the best managed team in the NFL should be smarter than to do anything like that. No way should he get $200M+ fully guaranteed. Will be interesting to see how it plays out, especially with Jackson going no-agent and representing himself. Wonder if we see Jackson end up in Miami next year...
  21. Browns and Cardinals showing why they will always be the Browns and Cardinals.
  22. Yeah, 2020 wasnt a big year for him. About 900 yds total and only a few TDs. Guess that's the difference between Goff and Stafford. Kupp is by far their #1 weapon and put up over 1900 yds last year. If we hold their bell-cow to only 100 yds and 1 TD next week, I'd say our chances of winning are pretty good.
