  1. This is completely irrelevant to the trade deadline and trades being made. No IOL or S were available. Doesnt mean you just give up improving your roster overall because your biggest needs cant be addressed. edit: Plus, Beane picked up a Safety. Not sure he could have done anything more. Did ANY linemen get traded?
  2. The last time we traded player/player with Colts was Sheppard/Hughes. Previously, Bell/Biscuit. Hoping this follows the trend...
  3. Yes, I havent been able to get the Bills games on any of the CBS apps lately. They only show CBS News during the games. I just chalked it up to them seeing my IP is Atlanta even though I'm signing in to a Buffalo-based Spectrum account, or a Paramount+ account. The worst news is the pirate site that has worked really well the last few years has seems to "bite" the big one. I cant get any of the pirate streams working either anymore, and I'm pretty good at that stuff. Some other friends reported the same problem. Bummer.
  4. Beane heard the "Moss and a 6th" meme here and made it happen!
  5. Too much cheating.
  6. Classic Bears.
  7. In this league it's not worth paying a MLB and an old DE when you dont have an offense. Smith contract coming up, so decisions need to be made.
  8. This line of thinking. Tua is the only one I'd personally compare Fields to. Josh and Hurts are far better on their own.
  9. Bluster isnt a real culture tho. Theyre finding out the hard way.
  10. Not necessarily. Keep in mind, I have never seen a contract for myself, but from similar situations being discussed by other media outlets previously, NFL rights contracts are very, very specific. What you can show, when, how long, no pausing, etc. To the point that if I miss PtI on ESPN and watch the replay, they dont show the NFL clips on the replay. They strip all NFL highlights out of the show. Little stuff like that. I wouldnt be surprised to find this verbiage in the existing contract and McAfee's team just didnt see it, or understand it. So they had agreed to a number of stuff they could do and show and that all added up to $4M. Using logos in their own graphics wasnt part of that. Mauybe it only costs an additional $500k/year? Who knows. Sounds like we'll find out tho
  11. I wasnt pushing for the Bills to get him, but I do wonder if Dorsey is wanting 2 playmaking TEs like he was used to in Miami, and what (if anything) that would do to our offense and his playcalling...
  12. Given our schedule, this could be taken either way.
  13. Lions officially throwing in towel. Campbell and his bluster are on borrowed time. That type of coaching only works when you are winning, at least sometimes.
  14. Its not that he knows secrets. It's that he's completely avoided any negative topics in an effort to only promote and befriend the NFL. All he is saying is, if they are going to be petty, then maybe the very popular show will start having more discussions about the tough topics that surround the NFL. I mean, that is really his only choice. He'll end up having to pay to use them. I see the "threats" as more negotiating through the media. Letting the NFL know that he has at least a little leverage in this.
  15. I've been 1000 miles away for 17 years. You tell me!
  16. Yes. Everyone pays the NFL a BUTTLOAD of money for an ever-decreasing amount of highlights and access. Ever since the league launched their own channel, NFLN, they have been cutting access and increasing prices in order to push viewers to NFLN. That is why ESPN coverage of the NFL has nose-dived compared to the 90s of classic NFL Primetime. ESPN is only allowed to show the extensive highlights on Primetime on their ESPN+ app, not on cable TV. That kind of stuff.
  17. Absolutely. All of these details were in the contract. And I get it. Major networks like ESPN have to abide by all the details and rules. If McAfee wants to make the money and play with the big guys, he needs to run his business appropriately. But... It's just silly, and a short-sighted business move, for the NFL to not grant it's best marketer some leeway. Especially on that format.
  18. This is how I've been seeing it as well. Add an All-Pro CB to this defense. Already under team-friendly long term deal. Didnt have to spend anything to get him. If we cant make any other moves, this is a decent consolation prize.
  19. I havent seen every graphic ever made, but not that I've seen. And that doesnt follow McAfee's MO (up to this point) of being an evangelist for the NFL. As far as I know, it was only stats and match-ups.
  20. I thought this was going to be about the classic Elmwood/Buffalo bar, Cozumel. Good times.
  21. He's misused Simp and Gaslighting so far. Someone take this boomer's internet access away before he starts trying to floss dance. 🤣
  22. Are you guys not getting paid to post here?
  23. We get the "black & white", you signed a contract, point of this. I'm not going to argue with you on that. We all get that. It's the most basic way of looking at this. The point of discussion is that the Trillion Dollar NFL is once again shooting itself in the foot for something they could easily smooth over at no cost of their own, and even garner more good will. It's marketing and advertising. They pay a ton for it anyways. It's a short-sighted, greedy move. Sure, they have "the right" to do it, but that doesnt make it "right". But I look forward to the upcoming "NFL Dirt" segments and discussions that will be coming.
