  1. Ehh... Dominate in a different way. He's playing the same position in the same scheme as Kuechly who was famous for making big plays in the passing game. Edmunds has finally started to do that this year. Is it because it is finally starting to click for him? Or because of the revamped DL? Or is it the same thing folks have said about many players, like Shaq and others, and he's motivated to make bigger plays by his looming free agency? I doubt it's the last one, but either way, I'm not looking to pay him what his fair market value will be. And I don't expect or want players to leave money on the table.
  2. Absolute credit where it is due, he has been playing great this year. Great to finally see. Caveat: Behind the new, revamped DL. And that caveat makes me wonder if he is even more replaceable now. If he is playing so much better due to the DL, why couldn't someone else who isnt demanding $15M/yr play that spot atan equal level, or even just down to his level last year (but for $1M/yr, looking at you Terrel Bernard)
  3. I'm absolutely fine with that take, because I see no lies.
  4. I'm fine with resting as many guys as possible who are dinged up and need time to get ready for KC. No need to rush Oliver back this week. Maybe give Davis some time to heal. Not trying to overlook Pittsburgh, but we can beat them with some depth guys in.
  5. But also. I'm dyin. 🤣
  6. Man, dont make me rehash rumors and crap from 2 seasons ago. But McK's antics are no secret.
  7. Well only since you asked... His handling of his vaccination, and not following protocols, and getting fined, and then saying he was vaccinated the whole time, but then announcing when he was finally vaccinated a couple weeks later. I dont even care about the vaccination stuff, but act right and get your story straight, dude. His behavior after getting pulled/benched from the game after his bad fumble, and his reactions on social media, and it was no secret he was an annoying malcontent in the locker room for a bit. The decision making on that play and others that has been head-scratching at times, making him a liability on returns. There's a reason we don't see him fielding punts anymore, and only kickoffs where the majority go for touch backs. His "too jokey" demeanor when others are locked in and focused. I don't have anything personally against him, and hope he does well. But his dumbassery is no secret. I know they brought him back with a new contract, but it seemed that was due to lack of other options more than "we MUST get THIS GUY back".
  8. It's not that dramatic. The changes will likely be in the initial screenings and preventing guys from going back into games that are in process. Some guys may end up being held out longer than previously, but it wont be anything too crazy. I expect McK back next week. I think McD and our staff already have a track record of erring on the side of caution. And props to them for that. Given that, I think McD fully trusts our training staff and if they clear a player, McD will play them. That said, Pittsburgh STINKS, so if there is a game to hold guys out and let them heal completely to get ready for KC, this would be it. Side note: I agree that this entire Tua fiasco has shown how completely in-over-his-head McDaniel is when it comes to being a complete HC. It goes way farther than just scheming and calling plays. It is setting the tone and culture for every department in the organization. And McDaniel looked FOOLISH this week every time he opened his mouth.
  9. I dont think he plays in a game until after the Bye. Just my WAG based on the feeling in my plums.
  10. From what we've seen from McKenzie in the past, I wouldnt be surprised if they told him that and he still did the show anyways. Dude is always looking for dumb ways to end up in McD's dog house.
  11. The biggest news for me here is that Tavon Austin was still/back with the team!
  12. Dont they have screens on both sides? I believe there are two screens on the tunnel side, one each in the upper corners. You can see replays from either end.
  13. What is the ratio of PFF grades to Schrute Bucks?
  14. Same and same. I was relieved when I went back and saw him writhing around (using his legs) and punching the turf. And I will always remember being at that game, watching the opening kickoff and seeing Everett go down. As a long time player, I knew from the moment he impacted with the blockers it was really bad. Healthy bodies dont move/flop like his did. Grabbed my dad's arm and was pointing to him while everyone was watching the ball/return. This Jackson injury was nothing like that.
  15. Ha, was editing at the same time. Under the scoreboard should be fine. I would sit there, and I'm kinda a seat snob.
  16. 200s would be Clubs/Suites. Great view, under the cover, private bar/concessions. Great views. edit: Sorry, I guess the 200s in the end zones would be out in the open and not club/suits. Still good views tho!
  17. And Leonard Fournette who carried TB through the playoffs/SB. And the Eagles relied on both Blount and Ajayi in 2017 (two big names) And the Ravens had Ray Rice when they beat SF Pretty much any SB team besides the Patriots, which skew your stat of "the last 15 years" since they won like half of them in that time.
  18. I believe the thinking is the new regime is going to want to rebuild with their own guys, and will trade away end-of-contract talent the same way Beane did (Watkins, Darby, etc). Jones is likely gone this year too, so it'll be a big reset. Might as well get some draft picks for the talent.
  19. Outside of getting heat stroke in Miami I'm not sure Brown is struggling that much. At least not enough to bother pulling him and bringing someone else in. Especially if our options are at the Daryl Williams level. He made a GREAT play on Gilliam's TD against Tenn, and has held up well enough in weeks 1 and 2 for our offense to dominate. He barely played on Sunday before having to go out. I think we're good.
  20. Lot of great nostalgia picks in here from live-action TV. One I'll throw in from left field that folks may or may not be familiar with. The greatest TV opening theme for the greatest anime series ever made...
  21. We didnt just leave Elam on an island against Hill all game. Shutting down Hill had far more to do with overall scheme. We had a late round pick starting just fine, and threw in a UDFA out of UB who was able to hold down the fort as well. None of our backup OL did as well. WRT the bold, I tend to disagree. There are a handful of very good CBs in every draft. Heck, Elam was the 4th one taken, and there will likely be good players that come from after his draft position as well. There is 1 (maybe 2) Centers at the equivalent level in each draft. Center, and anything in the trenches really, OL or DL, are premium positions for early picks too. Again, I'm fine with the Elam pick, but the Linderbaum pick sure would've helped this team. I thought Beane learned his lesson after passing on Creed Humphrey the year before, but... maybe next year.
  22. And, you know, scrambled eggs for brains.
  23. Wanting to upgrade from Morse and knowing he is better than our 2nd and 3rd string Centers are not mutually exclusive.
  24. Elam is great and all, but plenty of us were pounding the table for this kid. If we had been truly drafting for BPA instead of being forced to draft for need, who knows how Sunday goes...
  25. Was this posted in the wrong thread? It makes no sense. WRT Edmunds, I dont think he had as great a day in Miami, but no one really did. He gets credit for playing the entire game without getting injured or heat illness. That's about it. He better be ready for this Sunday in Baltimore tho.
