Would Cole Beasley come back to Buffalo?
DrDawkinstein replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ha! Fair enough point, but Cole was the only one to get cut right after, so far. -

Not in two years. His time in Tampa was "catch and fall down", and just short of the 1st down. -
Would Cole Beasley come back to Buffalo?

It's the "me first, team last" adolescent twitter rants, regardless of the topic. And what happened in Tampa was simple. He's old and his body is done and he couldnt pick up the 1st downs anymore. Back to back games he came up short by a couple yards, got chewed out by Brady, and then was released. And then said he didnt want to be there anyway. Like typical Bease. -

He's washed. He's a punk. He wanted out of Buffalo, and now that he has seen reality of the outside world, wants back in. Tough. If he could play at all, I might be interested. But he's physically done and not worth the hassle. -
Except that isnt the case here either. Russ aint no CEO. He's middle management, with little to no influence on hiring and firing, and throwing an after-work event that cuts into personal time. Half is decent. I dont think Wilson is very loved there right now, but I'd think this is better than expected given all the recent stories.

Oh hell yes. 3 day VIP pass heading my way! Tenacious D and Mars Volta on same stage?!?
-
Yes. Both are absolutely horrible. About half is a pretty good turn out. There's been a lot of debate online about what this Tweet is trying to say. I'm in the camp that thinks it shows more support for Wilson. Getting half the company to an event would be considered successful for one of our events.

(As Requested) Bills at Patriots 1988
DrDawkinstein replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall
lol, 1:30 in, Bentley jawing into the RBs ear after a tackle and shoving him down. Could never get away with that today. -
If we manage to pull it off, it would be quite the 30 For 30 story. Going back to getting screwed by McKissic and WFT which made us lose out on both McKissic and Wallace, the Araiza debacle, Saffold's car accident, Knox's brother passing, each and every injury on what has been the previously healthiest team, the illnesses, moving a home game to Detroit... Let alone all the stuff that has happened in-game like fumbling the snap to give the Vikings the go ahead TD. It's just ridiculous. And we still have 1/3 of the season left!

Sounds about right to what we've been seeing on the field. Which is a big concern and bummer as far as our Super Bowl aspirations go, because one thing that every SB champion has in common is a good amount of luck breaking their way through the season. As the old saying goes "it's better to be lucky than to be good"
-
Not only did we make Wallace an offer, but we would have made a competing/winning offer had we not gotten dicked around by McKissic in Washington. Beane was very upfront and transparent (read:pissed off) that had they known McKissic was going to stay in Washington, and had they known Washington was going to make a matching offer, he wouldve spent those resources on bringing back Wallace.

Yeah, his low numbers keep him out of the Sort, but if you drill down you can find him. 8 Tackles, 2 Misses. 20% miss rate. Not sure where the 66% is coming from at all. Unless they are counting QB Pressures against him as missed tackles, because he has 8 pressures. That would be 8/18, or 10 misses for 66%. So maybe. But that would be doing AJ dirty.
-
I wonder where Cover1 is pulling that from, because while tackling has been bad, things dont look so dire when sorting by Missed Tackle % here: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2022/defense_advanced.htm

Is the 17-game schedule diminishing NFL play
DrDawkinstein replied to SBbeliever's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah I dont get it. Agreed on the 2nd Bye week that was mentioned tho. -
Romo and Nantz are entertaining enough. The Thanksgiving broadcast mucks things up as well. So much time talking about fluff, or playing puff pieces, instead of showing TD replays or game highlights/analysis. Whatever. Taking the win, and we're on to New England.

One of the group texts had everyone SCREAMING for just one quick slant. We finally got one, I believe to Diggs in like the 4th quarter. Maybe it is not having the slot expert/vet available. I'd hope Hines could make that up with Crowder out. No reason to be throwing 20 yard crossers when we need 2-3 yards. Use the quick slant if we MUST pass.

McKenzie's Place in the Offense Going Forward
DrDawkinstein replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've done enough McKenzie bashing for this year. So I'll just say I've been happy to see his role reduced, and he shouldnt have been given the ball on the 2pt conversion either. -
Lots of good points, but I want to focus on this one. It's a much bigger problem than 3rd and 2. In the Vikings game we had 3 2nd half possessions in a row stall on 2nd and 2 because we couldnt pick up 6 effing feet on 2 tries. We get into short yardage situations and Dorsey calls plays that sends everyone 10-20 yards downfield. This continued all through the Browns game too. For as complicated as modern NFL Xs and Os can be, football is still a simple game. Line up and move the frickin ball. It blows my mind
